Jakumo: Sho y'right. Another point being forgotten here by some is that murder is a capital offense by Nigerian law, such that anyone who uses a gun or any other weapon to commit murder in Nigeria could potentially face the hangman's noose. With that in mind, the concerns being expressed by some writers that civilian possession of self-defence weapons would facilitate a rash of homicides is unfounded. in a state of anger- a person is often in a state of mini madness at this point, remembering the consequences of d law on a particular action is far from d mind, dats y u often hear ppl blaming actions/reactions on d devil. with this in mind, having a gun readily, would lead to more thotless manslaughter/murder cases. the law isnt only there to protect the unknowing hapless Victim , it is also there to protect the unwilling defaulter. do u know d number of bullies that would hav died if i had access to a gun (i.e. if my parents had one) in secondary school,- all those "seniors" for don die. |

Christianity Etc › Why Dont Christians Celebrate Eid El Kabir/ Eid Al Adha by snthesis(op): 8:11pm On Nov 16, 2011 |
Prologue: Recently, was having one of my favorite pastimes- a hot plate of poundedyam (not poundo-yam ), egusi soup, freshfish, goatmeat all washed down with a bottle of ice cold Gulder . i entered battlefront calculative- d enemy was to be defeated piece-meal, so i attacked the bowl of pounded yam with d hot egusi soup (it was quick and fast- it stood no chance ), rampantly ravaged d freshfish, and prepared to meet d Baus-initially assesment/intelligent reports stated that it was a tough fortress-d viable solution was to simultaneously divide, triturate to conquer, it was ginormous battle , as d meat wasnt properly braised as such refused to go down without a fight, , i fought relentlessly, was badly scarred in the process with pieces of meat stuck inbtw my teeth, i thot flushing the blouidy civilians with d criminally cold Gulder would do d trick - however after a few gulps - i was hit wit a "divine" revelation. The revelation: my fellow muslim brethren recently celebrated Eid El Kabir/ Eid al Adha, and it suddenly struck me -how come Chritians dont celebrate this feast , especially when both religions have almost the same rendition of the miracle that occurred. so my ppl why dont christians celebrate Eid El Kabir/(ofcourse Christians can choose to call it another name)? shouldnt this be like a focal point in unifying both faiths without one seeing the other as infidels or is this the feast that divides the two faiths |

samueloo: There is no one way trafic of doing it its just that there are lay down patterns but its not a do or die affair you can bend ,twist or even break the pattern to your own purse and taste secondly as culture varies so does all the patterns aswell, like in yoruba culture : the only expense that the bridegroom incurred during the engagement ceremony is only the list of items from the brides family (like dowry which is 1k in most cases and some other peti peti stuffs like yam, colanut etc) all other bills is for the brides family to foot as a matter of fact they are the ones hosting u guys.then the white wedding issue except they are renting a hall the brides family handle that also infact thechurch they attend and the reception must be from the bride but like i said this are just patterns it can always be agreed upon and cut down to a bearable sizes that fits into the couples budget.
other people should tell us about the way its done in their tribe so that the naira landers guys that are yet to be married can shine their eyes very well before choosing a lady. lol. yoruba is leading the pack- abeg all d yoruba NL single ladies should drop their CVs/vital statistics asap |

Allyagakwu: The entire pastors and preaching stuff is getting crazy. These days, we here all sorts of concoction in the name of preaching the Bible. I was surprised, only just, just yesterday to read in one of Oyedepo's books that "God made a mistake to have created Adam an adult and given him a will". Unbelieveable thing to say about the all-knowing, all-present and all-[powerful God, the perfect God. May God save us u can readily slant Oyedepo's name witout mentioning the source- dats not d way to go nau |
