it couldnt have been a meteor as there is no reason for the govt to want to elaborately cover up a natural phenomenon except for reason 1 above?, reason 1 above is not technically justified since if indeed an alien landed, the govt would want to cordone off the area, to do more research.

now if a lie is to stick it must have some semblance of truth within it, so here's the semblance of truth- the govt rightly admits that it was a bomb albeit it was supposed to be for use in a quarry, so that posits that it was an bomb dropped from height, which brings us to the next "why", why was that location chosen what makes the owo-akure road in ondo so special.... you can fill in the blanks

I’ve read all post up to this point and not one post cared to mention the “why”.

1. If a meteor fragment indeed caused the crater “why” would the govt be in denial and claim responsibility for a natural phenomenon. That obviously debunks the issue of a meteorite being the causative issue.

2. Alien landing - quite feasible “ that could give an answer to “why” the govt would want to cover the scenario

3. A dropped Bomb- well that would explain the crater and also provide an answer to “why” the govt is claiming responsibility to avoid a panic situation

the main question is what was your business case i.e target budget vs expected revenue. i dont want to believe you just invested that amount of money without performing feasibility studies on the return on investment
