IRobot7: Oh my God! Am not interested in artillery don't you get it? Globalfirepower was discarded by who, abeg say what you know. Give me facts and not mere say. They have Divisional artillery brigades which include artillery brigades, ordnance corps unit and combat engineers in Nigeria . They also have Infantry Divisions and this is my concern. On the issue of GFP site I suggest you visit past discussions on this thread. I don't want to be rude right now but I don't even know how to start a constructive debate on this issue because clearly you have no idea on what constitutes a infantry battalion or mechanized brigades. |

Are we talking about militants or national army.
The very fact that you don't even know that infantry constitutes more then just foot soldiers carrying rifles shows you have no idea what you talking about, for instance in conventional engagements an enemy that has air asset, medium/long range mortars will use it to soften up your infantry.
You also came up with the conclusion NA infantry is better then SA and you're using foolish sites like global fire power that is full discrepancies. Global Fire Power don't take into account doctrine to name just one in there analysis, frankly that site has been discarded here long ago.
Ok let's start from the beginning in your infantry say for instance you engage SA Army, what IFV's do you have to counter SA's Badger or Ratel IFV's and G5/G6 howitzers. |

IRobot7: If it is for infantry, i give it to Nigeria. Tell me what air defense system do you have in service to protect your infantry if for instance your enemy deploys aircraft to neutralize your ground troops. How many IFV's can you deploy compared to SA. |

pacretus: intelligence spoted, this is how every human with common sense should think. but the other southie(jayceon), is so $tupid that he doesn't know he's $tupid.
I don't wanna provide a link about HIV rate in southie, just stay in line bro. I've been down this road with some of you naaiers here go ask @Evarn, so believe me playing the "link game" has never ended good for both our sides. I will suggest you go educate yourself on the good SA has done regarding hiv and where Nigeria can actually learn from SA instead. The bottom line is hiv rates/deaths has stabilized and hiv is on its way out in SA judging by current government policies, regarding prevention and treatment. Now can the same be said about Nigeria. Now this used to be a nice military thread where I used to come and express my love/hate relations towards my nigerian friends, and vent my disapproval towards your useless military. Let's get back to senseless military bashing folks. |

lekkie073: HIV/AIDS in South Africa is a prominent health concern; South Africa is believed to have more people with HIV/AIDS than any other country in the world. The 2007 UNAIDS report estimated that 5,700,000 South Africans had HIV/AIDS, or just under 12% of South Africa's population of 48 million. [1] In the adult population the rate is 18.5%. [2] The number of infected is larger than in any other single country in the world. The other top five countries with the highest HIV/AIDS prevalence are all neighbours of South Africa.
the question is 'do south africans trade hiv with their neighbours' 2007 stats in 2016. Atleast SA has stopped to stigmatize infected people. Now go get your facts correct because u are second on the list in Africa. http://nigeriahealthwatch.com/how-many-nigerians-are-living-with-hiv/We are all in the same boat here, poverty, disease doesn't matter. This old topics has been played out here on 100's of pages its old and boring. |

tdayof: lol bro, I. However don't think Africa is capable of defending herself. I saw a topic on quora which says can all Africa countries defend against US attack?
All answers I saw were no. The answer is yes a United Africa even in its current state would be able to fend of a US attack. This is because of sheer numbers and size. In today's world no "so called" super power can win a war against another nation if the masses are hostile, unless you plan mass extermination which is only possible with nukes. |

Henry240: Let me drop this comment and clear this up. I fully participated in the criticism of SANDF exercises and still do. Our problem was the over-emphasis of that SANDF style training, not that the training is bad.
Our argument was, when we look at the conflicts in the region, North, West, East and South (Apart from DRC and Mozambique), the fightings were mainly in built up areas, and the sort of training offered at AMANI AFRICA II should reflect this.
It is only now that the enemy(s) has been pushed out of the towns and villages can those AMANI type training be deployed. The times BHT attacked Maiduguri, you don't expect the Nigerian military to respond with Cold War type tactics, now do you? WTF...?? Nothing new I expected this from u. |

Henry240: Without NATO the Germans have no capability to send an expeditionary force by themselves anywhere.
This is how bad things are with the German military. The one thing you forget is that Germany has the industrial capacity to in months transform its military into a formidable fighting force if the need arise. Its just that currently the German foreign policy is to remain neutral in worldwide security and military affairs, due to the WWII hangover. |

AlphaDex: You know your account isn't accurate, as always. Anyways, Angola was a conventional war and you still lost, despite attempts at official falsification of facts and figures.
Bokoharam was a terrorist insurgency, first of its kind this part of the world. We contained it.
Africa should be roll out our praises Boko haram is not the first terror group in Nigeria. You contained nothing, all you did was reclaim territory your pathetic army lost due to there cowardice nature. While your soldiers were running to the Cameroonian border in woman clothes, the mercenaries were doing the fighting while your ladybird sheboys were tasked with cooking for the real man who did the job for you. SA mercenaries helped you you in your fight with with the boko boys. If it wasn't for foreigners and Chadian help in the midst of widespread cowardice acts by your incompetent armed illiterates boko haram would have been sitting in Abuja by now. You should praise Africa for its assistance. I will never praise this baboon.

ValerianSteel: Israel could not maximize the set objectives against Hezbollah cause the mission was born out of pride and a territorial show of force to other Arab states.Hezbollah was very organized, they used small tactics to take on a big unaware army.Israel was not prepared in 2006,but however,Hezbollah also got a fair share of defeat notwithstanding.
I don't share in those yada yada sky daddy fairytales.Israel's historical roots has strong ties with Christianity,Islam and Judaism,I'm not a strong believer of any,my christian faith isn't devoid of questions about religion in its entirety.

Some people think attack helicopter is meant for repelling rebel groups carrying light arms. ROOIVALK has never seen battle and they hardly even fly so what do you expect. Foreign Affairs › Re: Here's Who Would Win If Russia, China, And America All Went To War Right Now by snydergp1st(m): 10:47am On Apr 04, 2016 |
ichuka: It would totally depend on the purpose of the war and the field of battle. If the US invaded Russia, it would lose because --while it could get troops to Russia-- it would have to slug it out in the largest nation on Earth that happens to have a powerful conventional military to boot. If Russia was trying to invade the United States, it wouldn't even make it beyond a few hundred miles into the ocean (as it has no blue water navy), let alone to the US's shores. If the US and Russia met in some empty field of battle, mano a mano, the US would win. The US has a GDP over 10x Russia's; Russia has very limited projection power and no navy to support it; the US has more than twice her population; it is a global leader in pretty much every technology; it has more modern materiel; it has a significantly larger military; it has an industrial production capacity 6 times Russia's; it has far better trained military leaders; it has a better funded military with better training for its lower ranks. The Chinese are not there yet. Too much Marvel comics can do this to you. |
