TANTUMERGO007: Olodo, basic economics you no know You are actually the olodo in this case, next time if you don't understand something just ask. What the individual is saying is simply the tactics some countries use to attract investment, any smart businessman will jump at the opportunity to invest in a country where his country's currency has more value. A practical example is you having 1k in your pocket and you are very hungry, would you go to a Porsche restaurant and have only salad for 1k or go to mamaput and enjoy pounded yam and Egusi with plenty meat for that same 1k? Unfortunately the CBN isn't devaluing the currency for the good of Nigerians, instead they have turned the devaluation to person business to enrich themselves. |

Sancto2: We met through FB and she introduced herself as a custom officer. On the 15th of June I traveled to Lagos to get a car from her because she claimed that custom is auctioning cars at seme. She said that I should transfer 100k through the account no: 3112912955, a first Bank account belonging to one Ayo Israel. She said that the money is for her to process PASS so that I will be able to come to their office at seme. After transferring the money she stopped picking my calls. The numbers I used in communicating her were 08163150847 which bears the name Helen Johnson, 08141778698 (Melody) and 07033643229 (Negi). All these transactions took place on the 15th of June 2020. I'm posting this so that others will not fall victim You fell for this old scam!! |

Jazzafizzy: There nairalanders I want to draw your attention to the above momentary organisation called "REMITLY " for the gulible NIGERIANS who could mistake it for the famous world remit may end up being scammed . So I have a friend in Australia ,who has promised to send me money during the lockdown ,asked me what means of transfer do I know and prefer . So I told her" WORLD REMIT" she wrongly download "WORLD REMITLY "on App store and during the transfer an amount close $400 Australian dollar was transfered from her account and another withdrawal this early morning in Australia and non of the amount got to me She has reported the incident to the Australian national bank and was told , they are not a legitimate organisation. So she had her account blocked immediately. Please any mode in charge of moving a thread and or a post to the front should do so as this may help an unsuspecting users of the fraudulent "WORLD REMITLY" Chai!! No wonder ooo! |

PaulH07: Lols, na why I ask for advice be that.
But pls don't tell me to buy Toyota instead, be it toks or naija used, cos it's not an option at all.
Thanks... I don't think anyone is emotionally attached to Toyota or Honda, the reason many people buy it is due to the advantages over other brands, they are easy to maintain and the parts are readily available. You are buying your first and only car for now so definitely the usage will be high, you need a durable car not a fashion or class statement. If you buy a bmw and you start having 'normal' car problems, are you ready to buy expensive parts? Will you be willing to drop 100-150k for shocks? Are you willing to gamble 'Baba Bose', 'Oga Emeka', 'Morufu' etc doing guesswork to treat your baby when she's sick? |
