PoliticsRe: Pat Utomi Officially Declares To Run As A Presidential Candidate In 2011 by sochan: 9:37pm On Dec 28, 2010
@Miss EZ,

Glad to hear you family is ok, and we do pray that those who suffered loss will be comforted.

There is an urgent need for us to fix our country, really there is. my worry is that majority of Nigerians do not sense this urgency, which requires everyone getting involved. Jealousy, hate and greed must be a thing of the past in our society
PoliticsRe: Acn Dumps Ribadu! by sochan: 9:31pm On Dec 28, 2010
@Gbawe,

but Chime has major problems with PDP, they might choose to oust him
PoliticsRe: Acn Dumps Ribadu! by sochan: 8:57pm On Dec 28, 2010
@Sapeleguy,

even less performing people are celebareted today in Nigeria. Ribadu did the best he could in a jungle of a country. Dont forget that the likes of Ibori were out to kill him
PoliticsRe: Acn Dumps Ribadu! by sochan: 8:54pm On Dec 28, 2010
@Gbawe,

Well your comments are well received. I have fought these stupid political battlles for so long  to understand that we Nigerians are equally as guilty as our failing leaders, but I am encounraged to see there a few good people prepared to continue the good fight for the greater benefit of everyone.

I have always been a firm supporter of Ribadu's works, and I have never failed to let him know, same with Nasir, and Pat Utomi.

@Miss EZ,

Yes oh, the change we seek starts from us.

Pat still remains my first choice, I pray that we can all come together to reclaim our country

By the way, I did notice from your comments that you are in Jos. Hope things have quietened down now and you are safe?

@Beaf,

I dont intedn this thread to become anothe GEJ, infact far from that. But I am glad you have shed some light on a few inner workings, It is always very helpful, thus giving a clearer picture. I wish him well in the primaries, afterall he is still my brother.
PoliticsRe: Pat Utomi Officially Declares To Run As A Presidential Candidate In 2011 by sochan: 8:10pm On Dec 28, 2010
@Beaf,

GEJ is likely to win more support if he is honest. He need to level up with the people. Admit were mistakes have been made and the clever ones amongst us will forgive and support him, but that has not been the case. i have no doubt that he faces a massive battle and wont be shocked on the threat to life thing, but he has not won over anypne with the way things have been going. I really do wish him well, because like I have always said, he is my brother, and I would rather him than Atiku anyday.
PoliticsRe: Pat Utomi Officially Declares To Run As A Presidential Candidate In 2011 by sochan: 8:02pm On Dec 28, 2010
@Miss EZ,

I am of the same view about Oga, but so many people let sentiments get in the way of sound judgement.

I know Pat, El, and Nuhu have been working together, still waiting to see what they come up with. But I am of the opinion that a lot of us need to get involved, these guys are human and need the help of those who see thier vision. I have just run out of patience with those who always critisize but do nothing to change the situation. To me that is a bigger problem than this PU grassroot issue. If we want a different Nigeria, we should all get off our backsides and work for change. If we are not reayd to then we should all shut up
PoliticsRe: Pat Utomi Officially Declares To Run As A Presidential Candidate In 2011 by sochan: 7:40pm On Dec 28, 2010
But Beaf my bro,

How does Oga intend to end the zoning and bring about a merit system? I must say I commend your commitment to your boss, but you are more likely to achieve better credibility if you acknowledge his failings from time to time, blind support signifies someone who is out of touch, dont you think?
PoliticsRe: Acn Dumps Ribadu! by sochan: 7:31pm On Dec 28, 2010
@Gbawe,

My brother I don tire. We are never satisfied as a people. What has Ribadu done wrong for people to start slating him. I am sick and tired of all these arm-chair politicians that see nothing good in others.

If the ACN and CPC and others need to come together to beat PDP, then I am all for it. I have nothing but admiration for those who have chosen to work for the better good of our country, you and I understand how difficult the political scene is in Nigeria
PoliticsRe: Acn Dumps Ribadu! by sochan: 7:21pm On Dec 28, 2010
same old rubbish that plagues us as a people. Una see am. So Ribadu is potentially on his way out, and people are on here saying he was never a credible candidate in the first place, the usal crap about how he cant win. These are probably the same people that talk down Pat Utomi's chances, But most importantly these are the same folk that do nothing about getting Nigeria out of her current woes. They are damn lazy arm-chair politicians, see nothing good in others, quick very quick to dismiss those who have ventured to dream. Why dont you all wake up and fight for a good country rather than all this constant rubbish talk which is phuking getting on my Goats.

I have said it unashamedly, Nigerians are politically lazy and weak. We should stop all this unecessary condenming of others and get involved.
PoliticsRe: Pat Utomi Officially Declares To Run As A Presidential Candidate In 2011 by sochan: 6:55pm On Dec 28, 2010
@Beaf,

Hope oga gave you good Christmas bonus for all the work you tirelessly do here, including all the massive abuse you constantly received, you are one tough dogs body.

That said, I do conceed that my prefered choice would have been a PU /El-Rufai team, you never know. A Ribadu / PU team would suffice. But to be honest I am sick and tired of senseless Nigerian politics
PoliticsRe: Acn Dumps Ribadu! by sochan: 6:43pm On Dec 28, 2010
Has this been confirmed though? or just speculation.

Nigerians politics, I don tire.
PoliticsRe: Pat Utomi Officially Declares To Run As A Presidential Candidate In 2011 by sochan: 5:46pm On Dec 28, 2010
@Miss EZ,

true talk and I appreciate all that you are saying, but the problem with bag or rice politics is that the hihest bidder will eventually win, and then reputations are tainted. So I dont subscribe to that view, However what is more workable if for those who believe in him (that includes you), to take the news out to your village and educate your people on why garri and rice politic cant and wont help them.

I wonder why you guys think Pat isnt reaching out to the so called common man, he is just not privy to the sort of money the crooks in PDP are and so visiblility is likely to be somewhat restricted.

I campainged vigourously during the last elections for Pat and yes I won a few votes, but I remain commited to his vision, and I am prepared once again to spread his message, it is rest for those who believe in what he is saying to join the fight, not sit and critisize.

I also see you point on the Utomi / Ribadu alliance, all I can say is that it is possible. But lets watch

PoliticsRe: Pat Utomi Officially Declares To Run As A Presidential Candidate In 2011 by sochan: 10:17am On Dec 28, 2010
Nigerians, we always like the easy way out. Critisizing one who dares tp dream, while we sit on our backsides doing absolutely nothing about moving the country forward. why dont those who think Pat is wasting his time tell us who they would rather have, and if they are going to be getting involved in the electorial process, or just sit and talk as usual.
PoliticsRe: Pat Utomi Officially Declares To Run As A Presidential Candidate In 2011 by sochan: 9:21am On Dec 28, 2010
@Miss-Ez

You make some very valid points, but lets not forget that Pat is now working on the same budget as PDP and co, and besides, how foolish can our people remain to think that the same bread and garri politics that has been in existance for so long has also failed to provide for thier simple needs.

What we need is the well educated amonsts us taking the message to the less educated. Start by telling the people in your village why they need to shy aways from those with empty promises, educate them about thier rights. That is what every well meaning Nigerian needs to do. And not expect Pat to start giving our rice, because that is how one gets votes, so how is he different from the others?

We dont needs to give rice for votes. Tell those who dont know why they need to choose right and act right. The saying give a child fish and you feed him for one day, but teach him to fish and you feed him forever comes to mind. That is exactly what we have being doing politically.
PoliticsRe: Pat Utomi Officially Declares To Run As A Presidential Candidate In 2011 by sochan: 9:04am On Dec 28, 2010
Listen guys,

I think we are all getting it wrong. All this assumption that PU is not doing what he needs to do is so far off the truth. Let us establish one fact, PU is not working with the sort of Budget PDP and co and working on, that said, he is working tirelessly to get his message accross. He holds seminars in Universities and other major institutions, he goes out to meet the common man in factories and market stall.

But let us not forget that he is not doing all the sensationalizing and money throwing that is very common with Nigerians politics and makes people popular and known.

Like I have said, the same problem affecting PU is the same that affects Wole Soyinka, Donald Duke, etc. We are just not willing to move with this sort of politics, Simple reason, we are politically lazy.

Even the Ribadu man, they are people who believe he will not win, and for the same reason, Nigerians are not prepapred to get involved in change. It is much easier for us all to sit at out computers and continue talking PU down and his chances.

Simple question, how many of uS are going to get invloved in the electorial process?
PoliticsRe: Akunyili: Nigeria Has Produced Another "maradonna" - Mbadinuju by sochan: 8:48am On Dec 28, 2010
Is this not the same Mbadinuju, who refuse to pay salaries for almost 2yrs. A big thief. He has should shut his dirty mouth, he lacks all moral authority to say anything
PoliticsRe: Pat Utomi Officially Declares To Run As A Presidential Candidate In 2011 by sochan: 1:01am On Dec 28, 2010
I wont waste my vote on him. .i dont think he has a chance, not now!

so who should I vote for then, if a vote for PU is a wasted vote. I just dont get people. Nigerian really do deserve the leaders they get, never willing to put out to get a good result

EducationRe: Waec Nov/dec 2010 Gce Result Is Out But Only 20% Passed Nationwide,what A Shame! by sochan: 8:28am On Dec 27, 2010
The whole education system in Nigeria is dead. the Unity Schools are dead, the Universities are dead. No investments, yet we pay NASS member billions of naira every year.

Nigerians wake up and claim your country back. This siddon look gets us nothing. the people who rule us do not send thier children to schools in Nigeria.

There must be a preventing any law maker from sending thier kids abroad or to private schools. Alos to qualify to run for elections your kids muts be attending state school.
PoliticsRe: I’ll Make Nigeria A Disciplined Society -buhari by sochan: 8:14am On Dec 27, 2010
To be fair to Buhari, he has not said that, so lets stop all this rubbishing of the man. Buhari, whether some of you guys like it or not remains one of the few credible candidates around. However to win over some of his skeptics, I would like to see him Publicly come out and condenm the recent killings in Jos and Borno in the strongest of terms. he is a northern leader, and should be at the fore of brokering lasting peace.

May her soul rest in peace

@OnlyTruth, I agree with you.

@Ochi Agha, a North South divide is our best option. There is a fundamental difference between the North and the South
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Needs To Split Urgently! by sochan: 8:56pm On Dec 26, 2010
Why dont you guys give us reasons why Nigeria should remain one. We are just deceiving ourselves if we think this stupid experiment called Nigeria will ever work, but then again I am happy to be proven wrong.
