Well, we need to have a clearer picture of how the excersize has gone so far. It has all been speculation to a large extent, also we need to know if there is a major problem? what can be done to fix it.

The impression I get, might be wrong, is one who isnt in total control. Transparency must now be allowed to reign, and the nation who has forked out over 80 billion Naira need to know how far?

It doesnt make much difference. For the sort of money we are talking of, there is really no reason why Jega should be compromising on standards. The reason why the sort of money was thrown at this excersize was for it to be a world class event, not this showdy, backstreet alley nonsense we are getting.

And yes everyone, including you must question how our money has been spent, to me we have all been short changed.

You have world class compnaies who have done biometric registeration in large numbers successfully, probably at the fraction of the cost. So yes.

The governor is damn useless, and that is a fact. there has been no development in that part and many other other parts of the state. uduaghan and Ibori have embezelled the whole funds meant for the state and the people and in my opinion he should be in jail, rather than allowing him run for elections. They have really let deltans down, and quite frankly I cannot wait for the day he joins his brother in jail.

Listen Jjega was not hired for the elections alone. His job spec states that he is in charge and oversees INEC. That includes effectively running the organisation. Now for anyone to suggest that he should not be critisize for a terrible job so-far, smacks of the typical Nigerians mentality, which says "we dont sack or take resposibility for phuck-up, we just pat them on the back"

Nigeria can only move forward if anf only when we are prepared to tell ourselves the truth.

I agree with you. I am from Delta north, and cannot understand for the life of me what happened there. I also know for sure that a lot of good people did not vote or Support Uduaghan.

Honestly, I understand those emotions so well. Been through them time without number, and my conclusion remains that Nigerians are the problem.

That is we, me, you and everyone. The difference here is that you feel the pain and need to speak out, living in the UK probably offers you the opportunity to see things even clearer from the pespective of what works and what doesnt.

take for instance the recently run delta state elections that was widely accepted by the Good amongst us as a total fraud, but guess what even on here I had people on here suggesting that wasnt the case. some even suggested that is was ok to bribe people with 1000 naira for votes.

Then comes the PDP primaries and all the delegates money sharing

The Governor is a total Nyash-hole and so are his commisioners. Yet some claim he won free and fair.

Do you mean INEC specific software? rather than OS. Dont see the need to develop a new OS for INEC.

Funny enough, majority of the issues here were reported during the last voters register. We had 4 yrs to get it right. I pointed out at the time that  wht happens when the battery pack runs down? what provisions had INEC made for constant electricity?

Would not have been better to have these machinces setup in local government offices, where you can setup about 15 /20 machines, with constant electricity, and probably technical support to assist when things fail?

What about kitting out moible buses, with generators, 10 machices in each, with a technical support staff. these would be the village / remote crawlers

Absolute rubbish. Did they train them properly? were the machines easy to operate? were they fit for purpose. This is just plain nonsese, because the writing was on the wall weeks before, but stupid INEC failed to see anything.

In my opinion, lack of proper planning, and the use of the wrong equipment is to blame, not the poor corpers.
