PoliteActivist: Sooo, how come sales people end up talking people into buying something they initially said they'd absolutely not buy minutes before? They do their homework! They prepare their game well. The customer has no chance!
"Sure, take care" and that's the end of it? Na, not good. Women that change their minds constantly and are not really sure what they want. A woman may say no to you this minute and regret it the next - and you already out of communication? Not good
Best thing anyway is, never approach girls for date directly. Otherwise you're already a loser. If you must, first build yourself up so much in her imagination and read her so well, she can't possibly say no! But most people are lazy, no preparation at all, no imagination, just shot in the dark and hope for a miracle! Yes you made a big point i can relate with by subtly creating an imaginative future she craves to be part of. |

SixSeven: You will enjoy this if you never heard about it. Have you heard of Universe 25?
The Universe 25 mouse experiment explains why finding a good man feels impossible today. In that famous study, scientists gave mice a perfect world with unlimited food, water, and safety. However, this lack of struggle and extreme overcrowding completely destroyed their society. Today, modern digital dating has created a similar trap, causing a complete breakdown between men and women.
First, dating apps create an illusion of infinite choices, much like the endless resources in the mouse experiment. When mice had too many options, they stopped forming real bonds and grew stressed. Similarly, when humans scroll through endless profiles, people become disposable. This digital abundance causes choice fatigue, leading to superficial conversations, quick ghosting, and a marketplace where the quiet traits of a good partner are completely overlooked.
Second, the experiment led to the rise of "The Beautiful Ones" - male mice that completely gave up on fighting, mating, or interacting. They withdrew into isolated corners just to eat, sleep, and groom themselves. Today, millions of stable, kind men have become the human version of these mice. After facing constant rejection from dating algorithms, they have quietly checked out of the dating market. They have retreated into their own worlds, focusing strictly on their careers, gym routines, and solo hobbies. They are still out there, but they are invisible because they stopped pursuing.
Finally, when the male mice stopped acting like partners, the female mice isolated themselves too, causing the entire colony to go extinct. In the modern world, because online courtship has died, both men and women have retreated to their separate corners. To break this cycle, the search must move off the screen. High-quality men who have withdrawn from apps can only be found in real- world spaces that require effort, such as local hobby classes, sports leagues, or volunteer groups. They are just as tired of the digital noise, waiting to meet someone in real life.

What are the lessons for men and women?
The collapse of Universe 25 shows that when an environment becomes unhealthy, the behaviors of both sexes change in ways that deeply hurt each other. For modern men to break out of this cycle, they must consciously reject the temptation to substitute real life with digital escapes like excessive pornography, video games, and social media. In the experiment, the male mice withdrew because dealing with the crowded community became too stressful, choosing instead to focus entirely on themselves. Modern men are doing the exact same thing by using digital dopamine loops to replace the hard work of real-world courtship, finance, and emotional vulnerability. To fix this, men must accept the stress of potential rejection, turn off their screens, and actively practice being present, reliable, and courageous in physical social spaces. They need to realize that shielding themselves from the discomfort of the modern dating market only cements their status as modern-day "Beautiful Ones," leaving them completely isolated.
At the same time, certain modern female behaviors are directly contributing to this male withdrawal. In the final stages of Universe 25, the female mice became hyper- aggressive, isolated themselves in high nests, and rejected the males entirely, which completely broke the natural desire of the males to protect and pursue. Today, the digital culture encourages women to adopt a hyper- defensive, highly critical posture online, often labeling average male awkwardness or basic courtship attempts as toxic or predatory. When men face a digital landscape where the penalty for making a mistake is public shame or instant cancellation, they decide that the stress of trying is simply not worth the risk. By treating the entire male population as a threat or demanding a flawless, hyper-wealthy partner, women inadvertently train good, average men to stay quiet and invisible to protect their own peace. Wow brilliant!! This is intellectually appreciated, |

As a first-time buyer, which one would you recommend for me and why?
I’d really appreciate your suggestions. Thanks Honestly speaking, all are wonderful economical vehicles, just chose the one that appeals to your lifestyle. |
Car Talk › Re: Tips For First Generation Car Owners by socoharley: 10:02am On Jul 01 |
YourGFsnatcher: If you are the first person in your house to buy a car, this might be useful to you.
Some of us were not privileged to have parents who had cars, so simple car maintenance might be new to us. No matter how smart you are, when it comes to cars, experience is key, but knowledge will help you save cost and avoid heartbreaks.
I will not go into minor details like checking of temperature, oil, filter, etc for believe that's what you will first learn. Let's go into more complex issues.
1. Ensure you understand how your car works more than you trust your mechanic
My first car was a Peugeot. The major issue with maintaining a Peugeot is having an electrician that understands Peugeot wiring.
The brainbox of my car was burn because the electrician thought the car had issues when it didn't turn off after the ignition was off. Not knowing it's a security issue, he rewired the car and burnt my brain box, had to buy new brainbox and the car was never the same again. Why the car didn't turn off was because the AC was on, and turning on the car with the AC on usually affects some components like the fuel pump, so the manufacturers made it such that without turning off the AC, the car won't turn off. But other models don't operate like that, so it was a new thing for the electrician
Don't just meet any electrician, ensure you find someone who understands how the model of yiur car works. If not you will spent money every week on one problem or the other, and it all leads back to electrician issues.
2. Know about your care model.
My second car was a corolla that has never been tempered with. So when I started the car during cold season, the radiator fans weren't working. I panicked and called the electrician to help me fix it. He charged me a lot of money. What I didn't know what that the fans will not start until the engine temperature gets to a particular degree. He disconnected my fans from the sensors such that the fans will start immediately when the engine is on...so in essence, I paid someone to mess with my car
3. Understand your lights.
Some car models will automatically turn on your parking light when you disengage the Handbrake. Don't panick, that's how they are design, rewiring the car to put off the light will be doing damages to your car. In the evening or during rain, the dashboard light might automatically turn up too. These are all normal, don't pay someone to mess with your car.
4. Understand acceleration
Finally, this is one the reasons why you can burn fuel and destroy your engine without achieving efficiency.
Accelerating is not all about pressing the accelerator to the highest point. Doing that will send signal to your engine that it would consume more fuel and work at full capacity. That will just break your engine.
Smart acceleration is not rigorous, the car understands that you want to move faster, that's why it's not called velocitator but accelerator, meaning the velocity changed with time. Just maintain that soft paddling and you will achieve the acceleration you are looking for. That doesn't stress the engine and saves you a lot of fuel.
If you want to have a rigorous acceleration, then buy sport cars, that's what they are meant for. Their engine power can withstand it.
What has been your experience and mistakes when you had your first car? I don't see the relevance of all you wrote up there without teaching them dangerous warning signs and sounds to save a detroriating situation. |

mayor1814: A South Africa-based Nigerian man popularly known as Big Joe has been reportedly shot dead outside his shop in South Africa. There have been growing concern regarding South Africa xenophobic attacks against Nigerians and other Africans in recent months. This is seen as terrible step taken too far in the ongoing attacks against Nigerians and other Africans living and working in South Africa.
