When boko haram menace started power was given to the north (Yar adua)to douse the tension in that region. When Niger delta militants started troubling the oil industry and the Nigerian economy, power was shifted to the south south (GEJ) to douse the tension in that region.

All true lovers of peace, fairness and national unity should queue and support Igbo presidency in 2023. I am not an Igbo man but I think they deserve it this time around.

APC does not expect to win Anambra, either In this election or the presidential election. If APC is getting 20% of the votes cast in an election that is overwhelmingly APGA, imagine in a President election without APGA? Winning a presidential election is not about winning an opposition state, but making enough inroads to do enough damage. What is means is the votes that PDP will contribute to to National total has been reduced.

An example, If you have 1m voters, and 95% vote for PDP and 5%for APc, then PDP wins that state will contribute 950k votes to the National votes. Plus because it is only 5%. Apc cannot count that state as one of their 25% to satisfy constitutional req. However if the vote is 75% PDP and 25% APC, on the surface, PDP won by a landslide but, they’ve lost 200k votes and that state now counts as a 25% state for APC.



Elections are not only about winning, it is also about doing damage to your opponents especially in their bases. If I were PDP I would be worried that APC is getting this many votes in Anambra.......of all states!!! In the 2019 presidential elections, APC got only 5% in Anambra.

Why this people cannot understand this basic logic of politics baffles me. APGA is not in competition with APC in a presidential election. Anambra is a PDP strong hold. If APC can perform like this in presidential election, it will a big plus

Ibrahim tofa defeated mko Abiola in all south eastern states except Anambra in 1993

Awolowo did not bother to campaign in the south East in 1983.
These are verifiable facts.

Awolowo made Phillip umeadi his vice presidential candidate in 1979, it did not placate them.
