@Martswoll We seem to have similar profile having studied in Europe and purposely came back to apply in Naija. We both applied for our trv a day or two apart. My CIC profile is currently under eligibility review and background check is in progress as well exactly just like yours. However, mine is a little bit different in that I got a medical request last Wednesday. That was my first update after over 2 months that I submitted my application and it came with medical request. I understand how the waiting could be frustrating and if you don't mind we can connect offline.
Regards, I also submitted mine 9 of March. Not gotten any update yet. This is 2months already. |

Martswoll: Travel history 4 years bachelors program in Cyprus finished and came back last year October. 10 days tourist visa to The Republic of Georgia, 3 days transit visa turkey , entered the country.
Please guys is having a travel history a good thing or does it equally delay your application cos of background checks, cos I’ve seen people with no travel history get medical call or TRV faster between this March and April , I did Mum Biometrics on 1st March btw
Image shows my current state. Have deferred my May admission to September however. I am having similar issue, I applied since March 9th. With good travel history, I am yet to get a response from Embassy. |

Sorry dear. Please don’t give up AKUPSME: I was refused today, Applied March 16 Paper route

Phocusjosh: You are still within the study permit processing time for Nigerian applicants which is six weeks. Your application is just four weeks old and expect that cic already contacted you that there is no update on your application yet.
Just be hopeful for a favorable outcome because some applicants here last year waited for up to one year for decision to be made, and you know boss Jeremy application is still ongoing. Note; he applied last year September. Thank you. Hope who is Jeremy.. Flavour awaits him. Yes I got a mail that there is no mudate on my application yet |

Dear Guru,
I applied March 9th online routine and did my biometric 13march.. Up till now I have not gotten an up date from embassy.
This waiting process is so not cool.
I have seen people that got responded within a month. Is this long wait a normal process.. |

kylexy61: Please after I got a medical request from CIC last week, I completed the medicals at the hospital this monday, 9th April. But my portal still says "We have requested for a medical exam". I'm a bit concerned. Isn't it supposed to change to "We are reviewing your medicals" or something similar? Or does it simply change straight away to "You passed your medicals" after some few days? When did you submit your application |

Osemigho: Hi everyone. All the best in our various applications. God will help and favor us all.
I have come to say again that if you have any thought of staying in Canada after study, it will never be a bad idea to read about Canada express entry. Some of us did this time last year and God has been faithful.
I don’t know much about the study visa now but I would advise you write “full admission scholarship” as your sponsor, in the crucial cic form, if you have scholarship that can cover your tuition and living expenses. During my time, I wrote that and only added bank accounts (mine and dad) of less than #2m to my app. Some scholarship holders account was not even up to that and they got their student visa.
Studying in Canada is tougher than most of us think but your determination and grace will make you stand out. I could only come back now that semester is rounding up.
A lot have changed since I know this place. Truly, information is key and leads to transformation. If you think you can, yes! You can.
For those coming to Calgary, I may have some tips about Accomodation and study. Feel free to reach out.
Regards, Osemigho. so what do you think I do. Kindly share ideas |
