No you don't need to submit your passport,since it is EVisa

Hello guys, so I applied for the E visa through the DHA website on the first of January and yet no response and please I’m currently in Canada as a Nigerian, do I need to summit my passport?

Please reach out to VFS cc the embassy, because recently I know someone that SAA couldn't let him fly because of variance on the passport and flight ticket

I am thinking perhaps I should get an affidavit. Though all the names are correctly spelt, just the arrangement between the first and middle name.

This means that there is variance(in arrangements) between the first/given name in my international passport, but the surname is in order.

The truth is some visa officer are just something else
Especially South Africa visa officer they do as they want
It’s a sticker visa it’s only normal they issue 3month then six month
But no they believe and no the power is in their hands hence the issue whatever they like
To anyone struggling to get one country visa or the other
Don’t give up no matter how hard
And believe one day you shall have victory
I have applied for the sticker visa

But because I am a first timer they kept denying me over plans over again
Until this year when I got my first evisa
And then this sticker one
So please donot give up
Especially when God has not given ip on you!.

Brother I'm a frequent traveler,this new development started November,they started pegging visa to 8 weeks for sticker visas,I not sure for evisa,but if I get my stats right,they only give what you requested for

There are levels to this things, when you travel more, you get what others dont get.

I'm currently in SA,so I'm thinking it is a new development asking from people we came together,Grace also said something similar about it 3 weeks ago.

It means you should enter between 19th to 29th and at point of entrance they will stamp in for the days specified

Please I have been issued South African Evisa which states that validate date as 19th Jan and Expiry date as 29h January through DHA direct.

Since SA tourist visa is usually 90days, does it mean I can come in between 19th and 29th January then stay for not more than 90days or I was just given 10days visa to come and leave within that 19th and 29th January?

They Don't give 90 days again.Max is 8 weeks

You can actually pick it up at a DHL sorting center,when I was trying to pick my passport for my last visa I was given the option to go to their sorting centre at Ikoyi that my passport was there.

Grace you have to be patient ok. You waited for months. So let dhl do their work.

You have a tracking id, follow it through online.
Dhl does not waste time.

Yeah would have done that but there is no specific location written on the platform of where to pick up …all customer care are on break and not picking up
….just like @hunee said I would just have to be patient and wait for the estimated delivery date which is on Thursday. Although it means I have to reschedule my ticket again

You can pick up yourself,but you need to reach out to the customer care number to tell you where their drop off location or sorting location is or go to the site and change delivery address to DHL center close to you

I am supposed to travel this December for the festive period but my passport is still with DHL
And in the tracking system it says ‘processed at Lagos ‘ and the estimated delivery date is Thursday which is too far already
I don’t know if there is anyway I can pick up myself
Plus their customer care are not picking any calls 😒😒

I always submit my passport along everytime I drop my docs at VFS, because I'm a frequent business traveller,so max 7 days I have gotten my visa everytime

Well it is still the embassy that will stamp it not VFS,VFS will only take your passport and send to the embassy,they are not the one to stamp your passport.

My application has already been processed by the embassy and released to VHS.
I’ve already gotten an email from VHS to submit my passport within two working days. I wouldn’t have gotten that email if my application hasn’t been released to them.
I have no business with the embassy at this stage.
I only need to submit my passport to VHS and get my visa stamped on it.

You won't be able to track again, because decision has been made already,so go and submit and get your visa

SA,will find funny reason to deny people visa,this Saturday 3 people were sent back to Nigeria on account of visa issues at the point of entry.

Currently that is what they are giving,most people that got visas this period,it is single entry or a multiple entry for 8 weeks,for Nigerians

Multiple entry (30 days stay), valid for 8 weeks... I'm concerned about the validity though, this would be my 8th SA visa and all of them were valid for three months, I wonder why this one is less.

It simply means you must enter before 31st of December and you can only spend 30 days,so if I were you,I will travel 28 of December to enter SA 29th of December and leave January 29th. I hope this helps

A visa will have a timeline.
If her visa is valid from Dec 1 2023 , they will state the expiration date on it too, number of entries allowed (1,2, M) 1 - Single , 2 - Double, M - Multiple, S - Single. She already said she is allowed 1 entry and her visa is valid for one month(which her employers want her to stay longer)How then does she enter anytime and leave anytime within under one month or more when there is a maximum stay period allowed her?
The conditions are also included (Maximum stay allowed, not allowed to convert visa e.t.c)
A visa validity is not same as visa expiration
Maybe she should tell us when the visa starts and ends, number of days allowed as it is on her passport.

I picked an SA sticker visa randomly online and attached for clarity.
This visa below states that this person can only stay in South Africa for "25days" on a Single entry. Which she must present a return ticket to immigration on entry for that period of stay.



So going back to my previous advise, if you read it carefully, Apply for an evisa and attach all requisite documents. The DHA grants 3 month visa for frequent traveler as you fall in that category OR you use the first option.

Considering appropriate timings for applications matters, the evisa maybe your quicker alternative.

Please direct further enquiries to vfs or the embassy in Lagos as I have given the best advice.

Before if you applied for a month trip they might end giving you three month multiple entry but now it’s not the case anymore
What you ask for is what they will give you and may not even give you what you want it’s just luckkk getting your document right and prayers
To all of us still waiting I pray for a positive outcome

@dexydidi how many days do you want to spend at SA,this is so easy,on your visa,it says on or before December 31st,2023,it means you can travel before then to spend 30 days,like you can travel in December 28 and spend 30 days,which is to January 28.easy peasy.

Currently that's what they are doing,I had someone with similar story,the Consulate is really up to something,you might have to go and then come back and reapply, because you can't reapply until after the other Visa expires,or you go from December 28 till Jan 28.
