Thanks for this info. I appreciate the correction. I have been moving funds that I converted from USD nearly 1.5 years ago back to USD now. The loss is monumental I tell you. I wrongly believed "change" will improve the value in favour of Nira. Sadly, Now I know better
hayqinsbFX:
No no sir...d conversion of ngn to cad is even at the best position for the past 4months now...
As ngn dey go down cad dey go down...naa 2 of us get oil wey we depend on Naira is even gaining against Cad as of present.

DO NOT be confused and DO NOT be lazy and you will be very fine.
Trust be if you can read all Part 8 with a clear and clarified mind. Ask specific questions thereafter you will be OK.
I have been following since part 5. Most pages are repetitions because:
1. People hate reading back. They just repeat questions answered not long ago.
2. People quote long post in their reply and do not bother to close gaps in the original post while adding needless gaps in their reply too
3. Unnecessary / avoidable ranting and bickering.
4. Great humor which I love so much . So don't be intimidated by the pages. Skim tru. unnecessary stories.
People who are exceptional in their opinion are consistent so you may just Identify a few of them and read all their post on this
thread and you will make great progress soon. There is also a summary page that is being regularly updated by great guys here. The last update is less than 72 hours. so read back and also make google.com your friend
Verostef:
Am dreaming of Canada. Pls where do I start.
I read part 7 till am confused. Now part 8 is going far.Show me the way pls
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by soji0509: 9:40am On Jul 17, 2015
Could it NOT be the astronomical fall of Nira ? I guess those involved where qualified marginally in respect of their finance and a massive, sudden devaluation of Naira with no prospect of it stopping, I guess gave rise to the insufficient Funds. Painful indeed
Crich:
Yes, that's my thought because funmi14 got a med mail on July 5th and went for the med on 6th, then she received a denial mail today, 16th. My friend got a med call yesterday 15th and a denial mail today 16th. Why get denied same day 16th? So, I think their system messed up today. Such situations should be given some attention and consideration. It's so demoralizing although I think it will be resolved.

@Team12: Your capacity for research is EXCELLENT. Take a bow Please.
May the LORD grant you and all others, infinite harvest for the good job on this forum(amen).
Many have never been to cic site to know the useful pieces of info that exist there much less be able to discover this hidden one cheesy
Is it NOT surprising that guys are still asking for address of the medical clinic ? In the last 3 week 72 hours hardly pass without someone repeating that same question.
My people please make effort to read a few pages back before asking basic questions. This will do all of us a great deal of good. Wishing everyone successes in our application and in life generally (amen)
Team12:
Please don't reach that conclusion. I have people that mailed cic and still got their TRV. You can never be punished for following guidelines from their website. They specifically have "Case Specific inquiry" link on their website for people to complain about their delayed app (beyond 8 weeks)...Stay positive!!!
Guys, when your app is more than 8 weeks, rather than send normal email to accra.immigration@international.gc.ca, please use the link below to send a case specific inquiry to cic. If your app is still less than 8 weeks, do not use the link below
https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/case-cas-eng.aspx?mission=accra

@Richcasey, please add this to your list of links. Thanks!

You have paid for it already now, I guess u did online. Or you Didn't you apply online ? They sent you a letter to your mail box when u submitted your application. Check your spam and your CIC account you be be able to get that mail. You are expected to print it as proof of payment. You may then take along 5K in case of "any-incacity ". I reality you need only 300 nira or so for a folder which FAC will sell to you to contain your biometric doc. You may call VAC to explain you sutuation they should be able to offer you the much needed help ASAP. Hurry please
lamama1:
Thank you, bro for your I was think I was goin to get a request for it. Thank you and please how much is the biometrics.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by soji0509: 8:08am On Jul 14, 2015
Congratulations. I hope you know that monday MAY be a public holiday. Confirm from the hospital if they will be working that day.
Are you very far from Lagos ? If I were you and not far from Lagos, I would have traveled in the evening to pass the night in lagos so that I could be at the hospital by 7am latest. The test at IOM Ikeja is said to be very fast and could be concluded within 30 minutes.I will then return to base immediately. You should be able to give you place of work a call by 8.30am that you will be in shortly. That you had to attend to an issue not earlier envisaged. If truancy had not been your habit, your office will understand and bear it with you if you package it well. Do not delay the medical test unnecessarily please.
Thomby2k12:
Please, will it not be too late if I go to IOM for the medical next week Monday? I will not be able to get any permission until Monday.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by soji0509: 7:53am On Jul 14, 2015
No body will request this from you. You have confused it with Medical request.
Run fast now to the VAC at LEKKI if you are around lagos to do it. Your application submission is not complete without it. You have only added a few extra days to the processing time of you app by this omission. Time is not your friend right now. Run, run, run to VAC immediately with your passport and the other required doc generated during your online application. Best wishes.
lamama1:
Good Day people, please I m having issues with the CIC cos after applying July 3rd I am yet to get a biometrics request and more please I wld like to knw within how many days is 1 meant to get the request cos this is more than 10days already and I am hyertensive already. Thank you
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by soji0509: 10:49pm On Jul 11, 2015
Go and read your initial posts. Someone warned you but your attitude that time did not encourage the person to give full details.
Those days were not encouraging at all. Justwise noted it. Until red card was issued by justwise it was insult galore from newcomers. I had composed a warning for you then but reading a reply from you that you know what you are doing make me delete it. You react too quickly on this thread preventing contributions that normally should have matured your perspectives. You seams to think that you can become a distinguished professional only by attending a particular school. On the job experience can be much more valuable many times.
In spite of all, be positive. Our analysis here are major trend observations that are always overruled by HIS favour and Grace. May the LORD perfect your APP. in the eye of the V.O. (AMEN)
hayqinsbFX:
Bro thanks for your analysis.
I went for the second one in my first application and I had no one to tell me not to even after asking specifically that my prog was for 3years....

I got a fasttrack option which would be 2years for my second application....

Buh The thing is fasttrack or no fasttrack....an engineering graduate is deem superior to a technologist...thats why re transferred into the 3rd year. to earn a degree after completing the adv diploma.

I saww the caips note of an Indian foing for fasttrack after bsc and the VO wrote that program of study is not a logical progression of previous studies..

I still have a chance as every case is handled differently...but I would have avoided a lot of heart ache by just going for a PGD..

Your case is not complex but I fear you are trying to make it so.
Remember that they have your last Application.
Please be very, very consistent with it. You can only update what exist already but you MAY not claim contrary to what you earlier claimed. Your problem was NOT SOA you know now.
Over analysis i'm smelling here.
I now see that It is difficult for a Doctor to treat himself grin grin. It will end in praise this time around, just believe (Amen). Cheers
hayqinsbFX:
I think i would state that too in my letter of introduction.
i want to do without my SOA at all cost...
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by soji0509: 11:19pm On Jun 18, 2015
Hmn. This thinking is what led someone, name withheld into a delay and I have a sense of guilt that I kept quiet when I noted it. With due respect, our plans as humans should be in 3 level: Short term, medium term and long term.
In my view, if long term is difficult for me to plan for and I'm hard pressed by circumstance, I try to concentrate on the short time 1st and take consolation in the fact that when I get to the river of long term, I will cross it in future hopefully and prayerfully.
What do I mean ?
1.TRV "choping" should be our 1st focus (i.e. for those pressed) as things have become harder.
2. No two cases are exactly the same. So if in your own case, based on the available funds and proof of academic progression ( via PGD) your case is best packaged with 1 year program please do your self good by 1st applying just for that. When you get there, you can always find another suitable 1 or 2 years program to enroll into that will make you nearer to your PR desire and enhance your marketability.
For example, If in your case, it make sense to do PGD, MSc (3 years in all) and you will be nearest your PR, then go for 1 year first. Bear in mind that I don't know your details. This advice can't fit all situation also. It is useless for 1st class graduate for example. Remember that PR requirement is also not uniform nationwide. The have provincial nomination too. Alberta, BC I know have a friendly requirement. You may google more on this. Guys kindly add to my contribution. Its a personal impression anyway

babajust:
montrealer, can some1 with a year program qualify to apply for PR? Generally, wat qualifies one to be a PR? I've read elsewhere that it better to do 2yrs program if one wishes to get a PR after study. Gurus with ideas should pls enlighten on this. Thanks
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by soji0509: 10:44pm On Jun 18, 2015
With due respect, you have not been reading other people's post attentively here ! If you have and your are so pressed like this to refire, you will know that your case is NOT at all complex. You will also know that the info you have provided above is inadequate.
People's advice will be useful to you only to the extent to which you share honest and accurate info with this forum.
1. Which program are you going for (I know it as I had to read your few post here, not everyone as that time. Experienced people are very busy incredibly). 2 Which level. 3. What is the duration. 4 Which region is it (estimated cost of living varies based on region)
5. Do you have a sponsor / co-sponsor ? If yes how much did they specify they will help you with ?
6. Are there no other accompanying refusal reasons ? Is the reason ticked just 1.
Please, in your own interest, follow the example of the documents as listed by those who have gotten the TRV. Thereafter you will get excellent, useful pieces of advice. You may need more than a phone to do justice to the subject. Confirm if this #5,680.00 is British pounds. Best wishes

Sossun:
i have received my document back,i got a form inside it which show that Pursuant to section 219 of refugee and immigration,i did not have sufficient fund to pay my tuition fees for the period of yrs without working in canada, and also for accompany, but i never said anybody will accompany me during my studies period,i have #5,680.00 in my account and my tuition fees was $14200 and i have even pay $1000 and i attached the receipt on my application that was submitted ,pls what can i do,and how much did you guys think i need to put inside the account, thank you very much,GOD BLESS
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by soji0509: 10:24pm On Jun 18, 2015
With due respect, ONLY YOU can answer that at present ! I mean by now you need to have a check list of TRV winning document based on applicants who have succeeded and whose circumstance is similar to yours.
If you do, then honestly, have you evaluated what you have now using their own as your MINIMUM bench mark ? If yes and the result is satisfactory, you can still submit next week with upfront medicals.
If I were in you I will still continue to prepare for January 06 as back up even if I submit now. It is better to over-prepare than to under-prepare. Those V.Os are getting more strict this days. Remember that no application is perfect but there is a minimum. HIS GRACE can be a good complement that perfect an application in the eye of the V.Os.
List all that you have at hand now in fair details and the house would be a position to offer your precise advice

TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by soji0509: 5:02pm On Jun 18, 2015
NO that is not true. Read back. Stop speculating discouragingly with "they said". Yes The CIC says 4-6mnts since long time ago even as early as 2006 when there was no online route. Things just got improved. Many (if not all) online Applications are forwarded to Accra, Ghana.
This makes processing time faster thaN stated on CIC. Hurry up, gather all doc and ask for support of those who recently won their TRV.
The joy of their success will make them lend you a helping hand that you so badly need. Use PM (private mail) facility of Niraland for quick response.
Bear in mind however that you are asking for a favour. Everybody has more that enought at hand and no one is being paid to be here. So Cast your net very wide and be very polite. I assure you guys are very kind here. Trust me, you are in the right place if you act well your part very well. Best wishes
waleakins:
@darefestus
you know the letter of admission is only valid for one semester, but they said because of ebola outbreak in africa, study permit processing will take longer than usual. 4-6mnts. so the letter of admission will be valid till jan2016, so as to gv embassy enough time.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by soji0509: 4:49pm On Jun 18, 2015
You need to read back. Some body was delayed just less than 5 days ago for a 1 year program with the SOA you just asked about. That is why many are not replying you as they think you should have gotten the inference. Is the said amount in your own account ? Add $10K CAD to your tuition and Convert to Nira and see what remains !
Find additional sponsor or a co-sponsor in order to play safe . If its difficult to get additional co-sponsor, then you may consider the 2nd preparing for the 2nd date in your admission letter. Things are getting harder with TRV application. Many with less got it in the past. But remember, Nira is now greatly devalued !
What is the duration of your program ?
waleakins:
Pls my bros n sis,i want to ask, if the school that gave me admission estimated $17500 as first year expenses, and im presenting 5m in soa to d vo, is d money sufficient
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by soji0509: 4:39pm On Jun 18, 2015
It is late but NOT TOO late. Many of those submitting right now are for Sept. admission.
You need to be fast about it. Latest by weekend if your are going via online route. You may also try to do upfront medicals. This will hasten the process
waleakins:
thanks for the reply @all. e be like say if person no cry una no go reply cheesy i want to submit my app on monday. but im confused abt d starting date i should fill in d permit form. d sch i applied to gave me to starting dates 06 sept 2015 and 09 jan 2016, is it late to submit for fall sept2015?. cos i hv all d necessary docs with me. is it compulsory to submit waec result?

I have been experiencing the same for the past days. I thought it was network issues. Move to a 3.5G internet and the result is the same.
Tried it mid-night, early in the morning, afternoon to be sure it is not a transient issue.
Can some one help us call the CIC Nigeria office ?? Or assist with their Number if they pick their calls.

I personally feel this story is not good for this space.
A private mail to the people mentioned above would have sufficed
And also seek assistance /opinion of Immigration professionals of the concerned countries.
I now see reason why everyone from Nigeria is treated with suspicion by default until otherwise proven.
My people have a saying that it is not every piece of personal cloth that is fit to be sun-dried in public. If I were a V.O., with the expose that am reading here recently, I will become merciless on applicants. We need to know how to get help discretely on issues like this .

@Justwise, kindly do the needful here

adigunoluwa:
@ tnuola, siga ,vicjustic and all the members of the house. I am new on the tread. Please read my complicated issue and advice please
I applied for UK visit visa in 2009 but I was denied due the fake document my agent arranged for me from Halifax bank in uk . So in 2012, I got an agent that linked me up with a lady that won visa lottery (America dv), we did an arranged wedding on march 2012 and I did my real wedding with my wife june 2012 same year, while she(real wife) changed her name via affidavit and on newspaper august 2012. Unfortunately the lady and I was denied under misrepresentation in September 2012
My issue now is that, My real wife is planning to school in Canada and she is submitting our real wedding certificate that was done on june 2012. If by God grace she has the TRV, I will love to visit her by December and I heard that America, uk and Canada shares information, while Canada will realized that the wedding certificate I used for lottery is different from the one my wife uses without been dissolved.
Someone advised me to dissolve the first and shift my wife registry date from june to a week before her change of name. but I don’t want to take any risk again as regards manipulation of documents which might have effect in her application

i accept the responsibility of committing all the error because things was rough back then but my situation has changed now. which i am thinking of coming out straight of the past mistake i made in my future application.
