Thanks a lot that was very clear! I got admission to niagra tru an academic agent. I was not hinted on future charges. I am just discovering they charges for visa app which was diff from admission processing fee is too outrageous. My question is can I ditch d academic agent and go abt d processing mysel? Hope it won't work against me as d said agent is quite a major player in the canadian eductational system for years

What I actually mean is i have a salary account that has up to 6 million naira in it. I also have a reasonable pension SOA. my parents have a landed property. what I ask is can I use these to file in for application without a co-sponsor statement of account?

It is all same only grammar differs.... Make sure you detail your reason and emphasize that you will be back to Nigeria upon completion, and make sure that your tie to Nigeria is sound and convincing

Last week I applied to confederation college in Ontario but i was surprised when a lady called me from Nigeria that she is a representative of that institution here in Nigeria (though i also received a mail from that college that their rep here in Nigeria shall contact me). she's asking for my credit card info in order to pay for processing fee of which am about to take send it.
Pls house, has anyone ever experienced this before? and
should i continue with the application?

I have read people who did not pay their school fees and yet chop TRV. My dear pchax is one of them. Read his post starting from january 2015. However some school expect you to pay acceptance fee before they issue you unconditional admission. Go to the web site of the school or mail the international admission office for the exact situation in your school. The Canadian high commission will process your application without full payment of School fees.

This type of attitude irritates me and I believe this is one of the reasons why Nigeria is not progressing. Please permit me to take this personal and go into hibernation after I finish ranting. Yes, this is a rant!

I worked in the Software Industry for quite a while in Nigeria and I met very brilliant and smart guys but the industry is going nowhere in Nigeria because our software developers lack something - COLLABORATION. I see dudes here churn our some wonderful apps and solve problems. I have met some of them and they are not half as smart as the average Nigerian but they are more productive. Why? 'Cos they put heads together and augment their strengths.

Now bringing it home, someone was asking for an SOP to use as a guideline and you arrogantly dismiss the person. I honestly believe that a lot of people here fail in their application because they do not have ideas of how to package their applications and sell themselves to the VOs. I am a strong believer in the open-source stuff and sharing of knowledge. I mean, just imagine if people here could gain access to dozens of SOPs, they can pick ideas from a couple of them and form their own style. This new style would add more to the already existing dozen SOPs. See, these Indians, Bangladeshis, heck, even Iranians do not have a proper command of english and they chop TRV more than Naija. I stumbled on one of their forums and that was where I got most of my ideas from. Imagine! Iran has had strained ties with America for decades and don't even have a Canadian embassy or consulate or whatever in their country and still they are the 4th largest population in my school. Most of them said they went to Turkey to apply for TRV. How come these countries get approval despite terrorists ties or little or no diplomatic ties with Canada? They use templates. They collaborate. They share!

Please guys, let's learn to share and collaborate more especially when it would add more to knowledge. I am not by any means saying you should share your SOP before you get your TRV (that is plain stupidity). But after you don chop the Visa, you can remove personal info from your SOP and share it. Or at least share the RESOURCES that you used to construct your own SOP if you are uncomfortable sharing your own.
