President Bola Tinubu’s former Spokesman in the South East in 2023 Presidential elections,  Denge. Dr. Josef Onoh has taken a swipe at various individuals disrespecting the former Governor of Kaduna State H.E. Mallam Nasir El-Rufai on social media sparked by Nasir El-Rufai’s comments about President Tinubu’s railway project in Lagos when he stated that "two wrongs do not make a right. Sensible inclusion always trumps arrogant exclusion!!"

Shehu Sani, a former Senator representing Kaduna Central in the 8th Senate had accused the former Governor Nasir el-Rufai of whining because President Bola Tinubu’s appointments of individuals into key Federal positions do not favour him.

Sani, who slammed his northern counterpart in a post on X on Sunday, accused Mr el-Rufai of being silent about the nepotistic appointments under former President Muhammadu Buhari.

“There were people who were silent when Buhari was fielding political offices with his kinsmen and have found their voice to speak out when the equation doesn’t favour them,” Mr Sani wrote.

The former lawmaker further alleged el-Rufai’s administration marginalised Southern Kaduna, adding the former Governor made life unbearable to many people during his two-term reign.

Although the presidential aid to the President Bayo Onanuga had responded in his X handle with the comment "Senator Shehu Sani responds to El-Rufai’s cheap shot against President Tinubu" and followed up with the likes of Reno Omokri and some other APC supporters.

In a quick response, Onoh said that Bayo Onanuga's personal response to Sani's Post should not be misconstrued to mean that the President has asked anyone to disrespect Mallam Nasir El-Rufai. Neither did Onanuga's comment amount to any form of disrespect either from him.

He has his right to comment on any topic and also share his views like anyone else and being appointed by the President doesn't rob him of his personal liberties.

The President holds Mallam Nasir El-Rufai in the highest esteem,
in politics we have no personal enemies but interest.

The relationship between the President and Mallam Nasir El-Rufai goes beyond politics and it will be stupid for anyone to attempt to undermine it by going to social media and thinking that disrespecting him will grant him any special privilege in the eyes of the President.

The administration will always acknowledge with respect the immense contribution of Mallam Nasir El-Rufai prior and during the campaign in high esteem, his selfless service, commitment and dedication to the Renewed Hope remains unparalleled.

Like him or hate him, he has carved his name in the anals of Nigeria politics and his unapologetic support for a Southern President against his northern political class still distinguishes him till date.

I personally recall his support and encouragement during the campaign when attempts to use the CBN as a political tool aimed at political strangulation of the Tinubu Presidential bid using the Naira currency change while few of us were bold enough to voice out against the actions of the then government of the day, it was same El-Rufai that gave us courage by lending his voice while all those who are now forming lions of today were goats of yesterday. I personally hold him in the highest esteem.

Mr. President is preoccupied with stabilising the economy and development across every state of the regions and one of such is his consent to a proposal to establish a Federal University in Southern Kaduna.

While there are ongoing discussions to establish a Federal Medical Centre in Kafanchan, Kaduna State. Huge commendation goes to the President as this will ensure that our Most respected and distinguished Senator Shehu Sani can find closure on his recollection of nepotism that marginalised Southern Kaduna for eight years.

One can say that the President has truly brought Renewed Hope to Southern kaduna. And Sani is one of the last vocal voices from the last crusade he is entitled to his opinion as a watch dog and one of the guardians of democracy hence his comments can't in any way be taken as that of a political jobber and it's the responsibility of any respectable government to take corrections from any constructive criticism.

I urge all political actors to refrain from attacking the person of Mallam Nasir El-Rufai or attempting to use most distinguished Senator Sani's statement as a boarding pass with hope they will find reward in the eyes of Mr. President. Because if you disrespect El-Rufai today, it shows who you truly are and will disrespect the President tomorrow.

Adedeji, in FIRS, his support for the Nigerian customs recruitment exercise, and many other positive contributions.

Same El-Rufai has shown support for the current government while political jobbers are now hovering from all angles to create discord.

At no time did Bayo Onanuga insult Mallam Nasir El-Rufai hence any attempt to distort the narrative is an exercise in futility.

Nasir El-Rufai is a man blessed in building and supporting anyone he deems a friend even at the detriment of his life but few ever return to thank him. Like every human, he has his faults and he who is without a fault I dare to cast the first stone.

Irrespective of all this drama, he remains a true friend of the President and a true friend is one who sees you through when others have failed.

Mallam Nasir El-Rufai’s friendship with the President is forged beyond politics and only the President can respond to his friend in a language only both of them understands and anyone who attempts to get in between them will surely sink even if you are wearing a Life Jacket.

Two crew members were the only survivors after the plane, which was carrying 181 people, landed on its belly, skidded off a runway and burst into flames, officials said. Two victims on board the deadly Jeju Air plane crash on Sunday were Thai, according to South Korean authorities.

A father of one of the victims, Boonchuay Duangmanee, told the Associated Press that he “never thought that this would be the last time we would see each other forever.”
Duangmanee’s daughter, Jongluk, had been working in a factory in South Korea for several years, he told the AP. She had been back in Thailand visiting family before departing on the flight from Bangkok to Muan International Airport.

A man who witnessed Sunday’s plane crash in Muan, South Korea, said he is “devastated” by the disaster, describing the scene of the accident to Reuters.
Im Young Hak, who owns a seafood restaurant near the site of the crash, told Reuters he saw “a big dark smoke” and heard multiple explosions around 9 a.m. local time Sunday (7 p.m. ET on Saturday).

He first thought the noise was from an oil tanker accident, as there are many oil tankers nearby, Reuters reported. When he realized it was a plane that crashed, he thought that wild geese could have caused the disaster.
“I feel devastated,” Young Hak said, according to Reuters. “It happened right here, not far (away). We feel bad for an accident happening the other side of the globe, but it happened right here. It is traumatic. I’m not sure how long I will feel this way, but it won’t be a short time — that I know.”

One of the two survivors of Sunday’s Jeju Air crash in South Korea is conscious and talking, despite suffering multiple fractures, according to Ju Woong, the Director of Seoul’s Ewha Hospital, where the 33-year-old is being treated.

The hospital Director said the man was admitted to the intensive care unit on Sunday afternoon and examinations revealed fractures in his back, which have restricted the patient’s movement. He is currently under intensive monitoring.

The hospital’s psychiatry department is expected to help manage the man’s post-traumatic stress, the Director added.

“We did not ask detailed questions about the accident. Considering the potential trauma and the patient’s current condition, we decided not to probe further,” the director said.

Both of the crash survivors were members of the flight crew, according to fire officials. They were rescued from the plane’s tail section after the airliner burst into flames.

The female survivor of Sunday’s crash is being treated at Seoul Asan Hospital, according to a hospital briefing.

Franco Zeffirelli’s adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic love story was not without its controversies. A Toyota Sienna travelling from Lagos to the Eastern region was involved in a fatal accident on Benin/Asaba Expressway on their way for the Xmas and New Year festivals.

A video went viral on Social Media when the parents Segun Olowookere who was sentenced to death for stealing a fowl sent a message to the Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke to grant their son amnesty by pardoning him from death sentence.

"Justice Jide Falola of an Osun State High Court sitting in Okuku has sentenced two robbers to death for stealing fowls.


The convicts, Olowookere Segun and Morakinyo Sunday, were found guilty of forcefully breaking into the house of one Mr. Balogun Tope, a police officer attached to Divisional Police headquarters, Okuku, in April 2010 and carting away some of his belongings.

The convicts were charged with conspiracy, robbery and stealing contrary to Section 6(b) and 1(2)(a) of Robbery and Firearm (Special Provisions) Act, cap R 11 Laws of Federation of Nigeria 2004 and Section (390)(1) Criminal Code Law, Cap 34, Laws of Osun State, 2002.

The prosecution team, led by the state Solicitor-General, Mrs Abiola Adewemimo, called six witnesses and tendered several exhibits during the prosecution.

The prosecution told the court that on November 13, 2010, men were sighted around Balogun’s home armed with cutlass and a dane gun, and that while two of them were arrested, others escaped.

The convicts were said to have confessed that they stole the complainant’s fowls, adding that they had been in his house before to steal.

A mother has cried out to the Governor of Osun State for mercy for the release of his son, Segun Olowookere sentenced to death 14 years ago for stealing a fowl.

THERE is more troubles for the self styled Prime Minister of Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB Simon Ekpa in Finland where he was arrested for alleged terrorism against Nigeria.

In addition to the frozen of his assets he was said to be held in one of the worst prisons in the country.

According to Yle, a local newspaper, the Finnish government also froze the assets of companies associated with Ekpa and four of his accomplices, who are also in remand.

The report said Ekpa is being held in the Kylmäkoski vankila, (Kylmäkoski prison), which is reputed to be one of the world’s toughest prisons.

The prison was established in January 1993 in the Kylmäkoski municipality.

On November 21, Ekpa was sent to prison for spreading terrorist propaganda on social media.

A district court of Päijät-Häme remanded him after the Finnish National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) arrested him alongside four other men over alleged terrorist offences.

The self-declared Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government In-Exile was said to have committed the crime in 2021 in Lahti municipality.

He is accused of instigating violence and inciting terror in the south-east of Nigeria through his social media pages.

There have been calls for the arrest of the separatist following his alleged involvement in the Sit-At-Home that has relatively crippled economic activities in the South East.

The authorities in Finland had stated that Ekpa’s offence is not bailable.

His trial is expected to commence in May 2025.

THINGS seem to have fallen apart over who actually originated Fuji Music in the Southwest Region of Nigerian where the music is prominent.

Most of the Fuji fans claimed that Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde Barrister birthed Fuji music from inception while KWAM1 contested this school of thought.

While alive, Alhaji Agba told his fans he was the first to play Fuji music, transforming it from early morning 'were' with Islamic background.

KWAM 1 MUST NOT

1. I was shocked when I saw Wasiu Ayinde on video claiming that Sikiru Ayinde Barrister of blessed memory did not create Fuji music!

2. Sikiru Ayinde Barrister (SAB) started his music career in 1958 by playing 'were' in an area known as Masewele in Mushin, Lagos under Muraina Ajao. He was there for 8 years. SAB did not create 'were' and he paid homage to those who played 'were' before him (see number 10 below).

3. ‘Barrister and His AJISAARI Group’, released his first Were music album in 1966 and he was the first to release a Fuji album in 1967 under ‘Barrister and his FUJI group’. Barrister created Fuji in 1966 from 'were', 'sakara' and others. Monsuru Akande started in 1963/64 and released his WERE (not Fuji) album a week before Barrister’s WERE album in 1966. Kollington Ayinla also started in 1963 but released his Fuji album in 1973/74.

4. After creating Fuji from 'were' and sakara, SAB defined Fuji music in his Fuji Raggae Series 2 album (1979) as being the "Combination of music consisting of Sakara, Apala, Juju, Afro, Gudugudu, Aro…possibly Highlife." He continued by saying he could mould the music as he liked.

Nobody contradicted him on this authoritative definition. SAB also sang that, "Fuji sound is a new system for you." No one disagreed with him. Barry Wonder was a maestro "primus inter pares."

5. Wasiu Ayinde joined Barrister Organization in 1974 (as a 'packer') and left around 1979. He released his first album in 1981. Wasiu accepted that Barrister created Fuji music when he sang: "Sikiru mi Ayinde Commander, FUJI CREATOR mi SK erin", in that his 1981 album. By that 1981, SAB had released 38 records.

6. When Wasiu Ayinde Gbolahan became strong, after using and name-dropped Sikiru Ayinde Barrister’s name and songs as a steppingstone to stardom, he dumped his earlier adopted name of Wasiu Ayinde Barrister and now started running down Barrister by saying he did not create Fuji music!
What a garrulous absurdity of deepest dye?

7. Kollington Ayinla, aka "Kebe n Kwara" or "Baba Alatika", is another great Fuji musician of note, embedded with integrity, maturity and moral rectitude, and Wasiu’s senior by far and large. Without being immodest, Kollington Ayinla is the next in hierarchy and a contemporary to Sikiru Ayindee in Fuji music.

Great as he is, he has never denied that Barrister created Fuji music. Kollington only advised that they should focus on other serious issues apart from who created Fuji. Both Sikiru and Kollington were more concerned about current affairs and the betterment of the society.

8. All other Fuji musicians (Iyanda Sawaba – started Fuji around 1965, Shina Akanni, Fancy Aye Alamu, Adewale Ayuba, Besco Azeez, Abass Obesere, Pasuma, Saheed Osupa, Shefiu Alao, Gani Abefe, Safejo Amama,Taye Currency, etc) agreed that SAB created Fuji from 'were'.

Many of these musicians are seniors or juniors or contemporaries to Wasiu Ayinde. So which Fuji musician is with Wasiu? When SAB was alive, Wasiu sang his praise to heavens, when he claimed that he is "Oba Fuji", "Fuji King", and rated his boss, SAB as "Baba Oba Fuji", meaning, "Fuji King's Father."


9. In his "Flavour" album, where he sang the controversial ‘Orin d’owo’ song, Wasiu erroneously described 'were' musicians as Fuji musicians. None of those he mentioned.

Does Wasiu know the type of music they sang more than the singers themselves? Wasiu also compounded the error by classifying Jibowu Barrister, who never sang but was only a captain/composer, as a 'were' musician. He also described Epo Akara, an "awurebe" exponent, as having sung Fuji.

10. Wasiu obviously forgot that many years before his Flavour album, Barrister had recognized the 'were' singers.

A retired Army Officer, Dr. Garus Galolo poured out his anger against President Bola Tinubu and the manner, he said, he is running the affairs of the country.

He asked if Seyi Tinubu is now the Vice-President who travelled to where he goes while Shettima is made redundant? He accused the President of abandoning Vice-President Kashim Shettima.

MORE facts have emerged on how an unidentified Pastor had s€xual affair with a married woman, a member of his Church Choir in Egba Community, Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area, Edo State.

According to a reaction to SOJ WORLDWIDE publication on the Pastor's scandal by one of the readers, Adejumo Suraj said the woman had married for 11 years, she was pregnant but find it difficult to deliver her baby, this forced her to confess to her husband and family about her affairs with the pastor.

The Pastor was paraded in a viral video in his community.

"The Pastor was allegedly having an affair with a married woman in Egba Community, Ikpoba Okha local government area of Edo State for the past eleven years.

"The woman (name unknown) was said to have gone into prolonged child birth labour last weekend. Sensing that her predicament was as a result of the abomination of the adultery she had been committing with the Pastor, she confessed to her husband and family members so that she could be saved from untimely death.

The case was reported at the palace of the Enogie of Egba who detailed the Community Chief Priest and the youth to arrest the erring pastor.

The Pastor was therefore arrested last Sunday, a day scheduled for the annual thanksgiving service of the church while the well decorated church hall was vandalized by the raging youths of the community.

ANGRY residents of Ido-Osun has sent back a Coaster Bus belonging to Adeleke University from passing through their community.

The residents were protesting relocation of MKO Abiola International Airport earlier sited in Ido-Osun to another location in Ede.

In a viral video, the fenced location of the airport was shown.

They told the driver he cannot pass through a community where there are potholes for the Airport, he should go and pass through Akoda in Ede.

PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu has broken the jinx of impossibility on the resuscitation of the Port-Harcourt Refinery.

GOVERNOR of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke on Sunday, November 24, 2024 held his Thanksgiving Service at the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Oke-Gada, Ede, Osun State to celebrate his Second Year in Office as the Governor.

THE officiating Pastor directed all guests and members of the church for a-minute-silence for three elders in the Adeleke dynasty who have passed away; Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke, his mother, Mrs Nnena Esther Adeleke and her husband, Senator Ayoola Adeleke.

THE officiating Pastor took his message from Psalm 23. He admonished the Governor to always put God first in everything he is doing and strike a balance between public and private interest.

The Priest said the Thanksgiving Service celebrant should be careful of sycophants and praise singers and he should let people see him as a man of God and be accessible.


In his testimony, Governor Adeleke said, he still cannot believe what God is doing through him in Osun State, how God is able to turn things around for good for him in the State.

He remembered when his mother was on sickbed asked him to always sing three praise songs through which God will always answer his prayers.

One of the songs include a Yoruba song, "Ogo yi Oluwa ye Ogo yi, mase JE ko baje mase JE ko Daru..." and two other Igbo praise songs.

The governor who was filled with excitement said he woke up one day and went to the mirror and asked himself "who are you?". The answer, the Governor of Osun State. He was surprised at how God works in the affairs of men

The elder sister of Mr. Governor, Yeyeluwa, Modupe Adeleke-Sani admonished the awesomeness of God presence in Adeleke's family.

She said it wasn't time of Senator Ademola Adeleke to be the Governor in 2018 because God knows there was going to #ENDSARS and COVID-19 during the period, God made his governance possible at the appropriate time in 2022. "Adeleke's family is God's family, we will continue to serve and worship him for his goodness and mercies that endure forever."

She donated the sum of N10,000,000 (Ten Million Naira Only) on behalf of Adeleke's family.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has condemned International Criminal Court Judgement of Warrant of Arrest placed on him and his former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant.

He said the judgement is "antisemitic".

He said the ICC was "falsely" accusing them "of deliberately targeting civilians, this when we do everything in our power to avoid civilian casualties".

The ICC also issued a warrant for Hamas commander Mohammed Deif. Israel says he was killed in Gaza in July.

ICC judges said there were “reasonable grounds” to believe the three men bore "criminal responsibility" for crimes during the war between Israel and Hamas.

US President Joe Biden called the ICC move against Israeli officials "outrageous".

"Whatever the ICC might imply, there is no equivalence - none - between Israel and Hamas," Biden said in a statement. "We will always stand with Israel against threats to its security."

Both Israel and Hamas reject the allegations made by the ICC.
