CHIEF Jeremiah Obafemi Awolowo was a rare leader that has ever surfaced in this part of the world. Hate or love him, Awolowo was "the best President Nigeria Never Had" according to Chief Odumegwu Ojukwu in his tribute to the late sage who died on May 9, 1987.


Two of his laudable achievements was Free Education and Free Healthcare for categories of children and teenagers regardless of tribes or religious background.

On January 7, 1955, the Premier of Western Region, Awolowo announced Free Primary Education for all residents in the Western Region.

In a post by x.com user, @NoNonsensezone monitored by SOJ WORLDWIDE, an Old Video of the day Chief Obafemi Awolowo launching Free and mandatory education for all in Western Region was posted.

He built 10,000 schools to accommodate 400,000 children in all the nooks and crannies of the Region, he also declared Free Medical Care for children up to 18 years of age.

Awolowo introduced free healthcare for children up to the age of 18 as well as free & mandatory primary education in Western Nigeria which includes Abeokuta, Benin, Most part of Lagos, Delta, Ibadan, Ijebu, Ondo, and Oyo. These were collectively known as the Western Provinces.


In 1952, Awolowo awarded two hundred scholarships tenable for students seeking admission for University education anywhere in the Western World.

THE giant Network Providers,  MTN, on Monday, July 29, 2024 provoked their subscribers to anger when they blocked thousands of their lines.

They alleged that the blocked lines are not NIN compliant hence their lines were blocked two days away from the proposed nationwide protests.

THE CEO of NNPCL, Mele Kyari who is troubled by the heavy allegation of workers of NNPCL owning a secret refinery in faraway Malta in Southern Europe at the detriment of his local refinery in Lagos.

Dangote Refinery CEO, Aliko Dangote made the statement after counter allegations between the NNPCL and Dangote Management in a viral video on Social Media where Dangote said he feared no foe.

Over 25 Nigerians and Gambians Nationals are stranded in Tunisia Desert without water or food about 200 kilometers away from the City.
