Operatives of the Lagos Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, arrested two suspected internet fraudsters at House F10, Victoria Crest 4, Lekki, Lagos.

The suspects: Udemba Chukwuemeka (a.k.a Jody) and Jamal Jamiu Onasola (a.k.a. Jamal) were arrested at the residence of a musician: John Njeng Njeng (a.k.a Skales).

The two suspects, suspected of being involved in dating scam, described Njeng as their " mentor". While Chukwuemeka has been in Njeng's residence for two years, Onasola has only stayed there for few months.

They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

Chicago State University said it has found several certificates after diligent search matching the replacement certificate which President Bola Tinubu presented to INEC in 1992.

The school made this known in its response to Judge Nancy Maldonado’s order that it supply the documents wanted by Atiku Abubakar, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party.


The unearthing of similar certificates has taken the sail out of Atiku’s fishing expedition to Chicago.

The School said after diligent search of its archives, it has found at least three certificates matching the replacement certificate which President Bola Tinubu presented to INEC in 1992.

Atiku in his Request No. 3 wanted: “True and correct copies of any diplomas issued by CSU (other than to Mr. Tinubu) that contain the same font, seal, signatures, and wording (other than the name of the recipient and the specific degree awarded) as Contained in Exhibit C to the First Liu Declaration, which purports to be a CSU diploma issued to Mr. Tinubu on or about June 22, 1979”.

The school responded: “The documents responsive to this request which CSU, after diligent search, has been able to locate are produced herewith and Bates labelled CSU 0008 through CSU 0010.

“The students’ names on these diplomas have been redacted for privacy
reasons.

“CSU is also producing, Bates labelled as CSU 0011 and CSU 0012, diplomas prepared for other CSU students (with their names redacted for privacy) which match the format of the Tinubu replacement diploma dated June 27, 1997.”

On Atiku’s request that the school should produce a copy of Tinubu’s certificate issued in 1979, the school maintained its position that it does not keep copies of students diplomas, talk less of the one issued in 1979.

“CSU does not in the ordinary course keep copies of student diplomas, and after diligent search cannot locate a copy of the original diploma it prepared for Mr. Tinubu in 1979, hence has no documents responsive to this request”, deposed Michael D. Hayes, counsel to the school.

In going on a fishing expedition to Chicago’s Great Lakes, Atiku wanted to push the point that Tinubu did not attend the university and that he forged the certificate.

The search appears now to have collapsed.

Hayes also said as requested by Atiku, Jamar C Orr has certified all the documents.

Atiku’s request: “True and correct copies of any CSU documents relating to Mr. Tinubu that were certified by Jamar C. Orr, Esq., including without limitation, the documents in Exhibit D to the Uwais Declaration, and all Communications to or from CSU concerning the certification of such documents by Jamar C. Orr, Esq., during the period August 1, 2022 to August 1, 2023”.


Hayes: “The responsive documents certified by Mr. Orr are produced herewith and Bates labelled CSU 0013 through CSU 0032. CSU’s prior objection to the Communications aspect of this request was sustained by the Court (see Doc. 40 at pp. 28 -29 and Doc. 54 at p. 32), hence no documents responsive to that subject are being produced”.

When Awolowo was sentenced to prison, a lot of Progressives were shocked, some died instantly and some became sickly! Some people(Bishops and Statesmen) went to beg the Central Government of Zik and Balewa. The Government agreed to free Awolowo but, knowing fully well that Awolowo would not agree, they said his wife HID must come to beg the government and after that, Awolowo would be freed. The aim was to put Awolowo's wife pictures begging the government on front pages of major newspapers.

The 'Eminent' men went to meet HID and persuaded her to beg the government. HID thanked them all but said she could only do that if her husband permitted her, if not, she would not. Recall in 1986, similar offer was made to GMB's former wife but she fell for it, Buhari later divorced her.

AFTER the first Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu was sacked by former President Umaru Y'aradua of blessed memory, he delivered a lecture on corruption where he was a special guest outside the shores of Nigeria.


In the lecture, Ribadu has this to say in a viral video monitored by SOJ WORLDWIDE, it was transcribed below on how he risked his life fighting corruption in Nigeria and how he prosecuted three major looters in Nigeria.

"Let me put a question first
How many of you are here? How many of us and please raise your hand if you have received a letter from a Nigerian you have never met promising you love claiming to be the governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).


So on and so forth how many of you here? I also have received it I received a letter from Nuhu ribadu to my own email asking me to give the details of my own account that I have some money and that I was looking for someone to keep it for me, well they are from the 'conmen', we call it Advanced Fee Fraud and in Nigeria it is known as 419, name after the criminal code, code that creating Advanced Fee Fraud as an offense, okay!

Do you know that every year $60 billion leave Africa illegally this is a report from Economic Commission for Africa.

One money is going this way the other money is going the other way poor Africa, billions going out, well as you can see I’m a Nigerian, I’m from this paradoxical continent.

Where today, our most notorious exports is stolen money, stolen money. I was also at the fore front of effort to change this narrative in 2003, the then President of Nigeria, President Olusegun Obasanjo called me and handed me a piece of paper appointing me the First Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

It was a pleasure by the International Community that we must have that Commission the world was getting fed up with us no one knew about the Commission, not the president, not the parliament, nobody.

It was just a piece of paper that was given to me no money no office in four years I build that institution into one of the most, if not the most successful and formidable anti-corruption agency not just in Africa but in the world.

Yes, we worked hard we build networks across the world we went to look for support we covered billions we convicted hundreds of people we almost change the entire fight against corruption in Nigeria.

How did I do it? I want to share it with you, I do intend to give a story of three cases out of the hundreds we handled, the three will probably explain the entire work that we did, the frustration, the difficulties and of course some of the success stories.

The first one will be a case of a Nigerian stealing in Nigeria and stealing from foreign countries that I told you earlier, the second case will be a gang of foreigners stealing from Nigeria, corruption Nigeria, the last one will be a case of Nigeria politician stealing from his own people and often taken the money out, taken it to development world.

The first case Emmanuel Nwude one of the most successful 419 fraudsters, he duped a Brazilian Bank about $254 million dollars successfully the bank collapsed, the manger died.


I personally arrested Emmanuel Nwude and as usual a fraudster like him wanted to compromise me, to bribe me, he called me, sir, what is your problem?

This money belong to the white people they are rich let’s share he will take half and give us half that’s the end of the story.

People like him get away with this kind of behavior of course I refused I charge him to court I literally took everything from him, money in and outside Nigeria, properties in and outside Nigeria, in one bank I seized 10 million worth of his own shares, I got him convicted.

I returned the money to the victims, the Brazilian, this is me returning the money but not only that I return to others as well, this is me going to China, Hong Kong, to return. We return millions of dollars to victims across the world."

This is justices at work. But the case of Emmanuel Nwude made us to be more determined to clean out, to sanitize, it was terrible.

People like him compromise our law enforcement, compromise our banking system. In the course of his own case we stumbled into an account, an account with millions of dollars belonging to someone very close to him, very close, guess who it is? My boss the Chief Law Officer, the Inspector General of Police (IGP Tafa Balogun) in Nigeria.

A tough job, I arrested him. I charge him to court, I recovered everything from him, I return it, I got him convicted, he served a jail term. But not only him. Even the banking system during the period that we worked in less than two months I arrested about 49 Chief Executives of banks in Nigeria.

Many of them are friends, personal friends, it was a tough job but fighting corruption is a war, and if you are in a war you must go for the big target, get a suitable candidate for you to make a maximum impart that’s what we did and it brought a change we were fed up, our country was in a mess they destroyed the name and image of our country, I needed to do that.

The second case is the 'Harley Button' scandal I’m sure some of you might have heard of that, Harley Button is my own case as well I was the one I refused to allow you to die.

It’s a case of four companies,   global companies, multinational companies, from the US, France, Italy, and Japan, coming together and they got a contract of about 6 billion to build a Natural Gas Project in Nigeria.

In the course of it they decided to bribe the Nigerian government officials about a hundred and eighty two million dollars with evidence.

I first got a hint of this case in France. I went back home I try to investigate the case but it was so difficult or probably impossible because the companies were not there in Nigeria. They didn’t have account, there are no records, none of the persons were inside Nigeria they all left .

I had to come back. I rushed back to Paris. I went to France many times. I put on a letter of request for about a year, I was trying to get the French authorities to help us. At the end, the investigation magistrate told me the letter that I wrote about a year ago they couldn’t get anyone to translate it from English to French language.


I knew that then it was a hopeless case. I move to Italy. In Italy I had a friend called Fabio. Fabio was one of the big prosecutors but they were extremely busy it was the days of Balesconi.


Fabio told me they wanted to ask of my own support because of they were involved, then I thought of going to Japan.

Japan is extremely far but I just know I might also end up in the trap of this translation because I do not speak Japanese language. I decided to go to Washington D.C at least, the problem of translation won’t be there.

But wait a minute, there was a problem, as at that time the Vice President of American was Dick Cheney. Board member of 'Harley Button'. But to my pleasant surprise the DOJ, the Department of Justices in US took the case, they investigated.

They brought the people to justices they place a fine of over 1.5 billion dollars against the company the biggest for a corporate corruption in the world. I also was here in Berlin I came and reported Siemens here.

And also Bill Finger, Julius Berger, I couldn’t get the support I came here I met with BKK that’s the investigating authority here I tried if they could take my own case Siemens. Siemens was involved in corruption in Nigeria as well as Julius Berger, Bill Finger, I couldn’t get support as well.

I decided to get to Washington D.C I went back and they took the case. The three cases, the US government make over 3 billion dollars in term of fine against the said companies.

But the sad part of it is that in my own country where the criminal activity took place not a single individual was made to face justices especially after to leave my own position not only that we did not make a dollar out of that money that was made by the US authorities.


The third case, is the case of a Nigerian politician stealing from his own people and like I said often taken the money out.

James Ibori was in the UK he got convicted twice for stealing in the 90’s.

He found himself back in Nigeria he was elected and became the Governor of Delta State, one of the richest oil producing state.

He was a governor for eight years, we started investigating him just like other politicians. We and also the UK authorities were also investigating him.

We found out that James took at least half of the money that the state earned within the period that he was the governor and that state must have earned over a billion dollars. While I was investigating him of course as usual like all of them. James approach me with 15 million dollars in cash to stop his own investigation. I called my own people because it was a massive bag two people will not be able to take it. We took the money and lodge into Central Bank of Nigeria. I arrested him after that, I charge him to court.


I presented the money as evidence before the court of law just then James Ibori friend became President of Nigeria.



They decided to go after me,  they sent me to a school. The school that I was a teacher before, I was asked to go and become a student.



They attempted on my life, they tried to kill me but as God will have it Umaru and things started falling apart for James. James was arrested in Dubai, taken back to the UK he was arrested and convicted.

Today James is serving a jail term in UK prison. Thanks to our efforts and thanks to what I called globalized justices. The case of James Ibori is a clean example of how corruption fights back nobody fight in stages.

First they will try to compromise, give you the money if you want, if you refuse, then you will be a target of destruction.

It happen to me but I’m grateful I survived, I thank God we have been able to achieve something.


Today, Nigeria is one country in terms of return of stolen money. We succeed in getting our money back more than any other country in the world. Switzerland alone return over a billion dollars to Nigeria. Thanks to the work we did.

Today UK established a Special Unit within which they have a special oversea anti-corruption and that is making a massive success.


I want to ask every other country to do the same-thing together I believe we will be able to make it possible for any stolen money to stay anywhere in the world and also corrupt people will not have a place to hide it.


It make sense to fight corruption. Corruption is a monster. I believe my mind set then help us to fight corruption and if we are successful we do not need hands out again we will take care of ourselves and you will be happy with us.


And probably we will not see those nasty things that you see everyday, people died in trying to move from one continent to another.


It is sad, it is tragic, we if take care of ourselves we will not see this kind of things. We work hard to make sure from our own side we have done it.


I think all of us do have a role to play in this, if we come together we will make it. Corruption is the monster.


A bullet was directed to my face It is probably the most dangerous work but I most tell you it is worth it. I asked all of us to stand up and fight corruption it is a monster that most be fought but I want to assure you that this is one fight, this is one war, that is worth fight. AFRICAN richest billionaire, Aliko Dangote is in the eyes of the storm in his home country in Nigeria over the wide disparity in the prices of Dangote Cement.

Nigerians have taken to social media to call out Aliko Dangote for selling his bag of cement for N5200 in his own country but selling at N3,699.15 in Benin Republic.

A Twitter user identified as @drpenking called out Dangote for selling his bag of cement for N5200 in Nigeria despite the fact that the raw material is sourced locally in Nigeria.

According to the Twitter user, the billionaire needs to explain why he sells at a higher price in Nigeria but sells lesser in Seme, Benin Republic.

He tweeted;

“Dangote cement is produced in Nigeria . The raw material is sourced locally in Nigeria at almost zero cost. Nothing is imported. Almost zero taxes yet the price of cement is 5,200 Naira in Nigeria and same is sold in Seme, at 3,699.15 Naira. Sit & Explain to me.”


Reacting to this, Nigerians expressed their displeasure at the billionaire Aliko Dangote as they criticized him and calls him all sort of names like, very greedy man, Monopoly boy, among others.

A video has surfaced on Social Media where an Islamic Cleric ordered a woman practicing ISESE religion eight days to vacate her shop otherwise she would face their wrath.

THE Billboard that surfaced in Abuja Few days ago with the inscription, "ALL EYES ON JUDICIARY" has been removed, SOJ WORLDWIDE reported.

The Billboard was sponsored by 'Diaspora's for Good Governance' suspected to have been erected by the supporters of the Labour Party Presidential Candidate in the February 25, 2023, Peter OBI.

The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal has reserved judgement on the petition filed by Peter Obi against the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a message posted on the official Twitter Page of @Woye1 monitored by SOJ WORLDWIDE Correspondent, the Billboard was removed for violating the Advertising Agency at the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

According to the statement, the Advertising Agency will be prosecuted and their licence withdrawn.

We are unable to confirm if the first Billboard erected last week as reported by SOJ WORLDWIDE has been removed or not as at the time of filing this report.

THIS will be the first time in the history of Nigeria that a group of people belonging to a political party will create awareness on the type of judgement Judges should deliver.


This did not happen in 1979 Presidential election in celebrated case between the Presidential Candidate of the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN), Chief Obafemi Awolowo and his opponent, Alhaji Shehu Shagari of the National Party of Nigeria (NPN).

The bone of contention, at the time, has to with 12.2/3 of Kano State.  Every Nigerian were expectant but there was no intimidation or anyone influencing the Judges on the manner of judgement they should deliver.

The judgement favoured Shagari, the opposition took it in good faith.

Nigerians are witnessing strange things from fake news to people threatening Judges on the type of judgement they should deliver.

A dramatic brawl on the Montgomery, Alabama, riverfront pitted people standing up for a Black riverboat worker against a group of white people who began beating him for telling them to move their illegally parked pontoon.

“Several subjects have been detained, and any charges are pending,” a police statement added, without elaborating.

The brawl appeared to start when a pontoon boat prevented a larger river boat from docking. When a Black riverboat worker objected, he was attacked by a group of white men.

The conflict escalated when a group of about six Black men from the riverboat confronted the white party. Cheered on by bystanders, they beat three white men and two women, at least one of whom could be seen first striking others by running up and throwing her body into them from behind.

At least two of the women jumped or were pushed into the river. A third was beaten over the head with a folding chair, video showed.

After the arrival of police officers, the brawl subsided – and then briefly reignited before police began cuffing the participants, Black and white.

NBC station WSFA of Montgomery reported that four arrest warrants have been issued in connection with the altercation and “there’s a possibility more will follow after the review of additional video”.

THE crisis in the family of the proscribed Independent Peoples of Biafra, IPOB has degenerated and snowballed into full blown crisis as the self styled Prime Minister of the body based in Finland, Simon Ekpa sent back harsh words to Nnamdi Kanu's Special Counsel, Aloy Ejimakor.

Ekpa in his immediate response to Ejimakor from the message the IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu allegedly sent from the DSS custody was that the SIT-AT-HOME directives be stopped immediately.

And that the fundraising to fund the directive is a crime against him, the IPOB and the ESN.

In a response, Ekpa ordered Ejimakor never to mention Biafra in any of his correspondence and Press Release any more in his reaction via his official Twitter Page monitored by SOJ WORLDWIDE on Monday.

My direct response to you is to tell the DSS and the Nigeria state, which you now represent, that the Biafra government has decided the following:

1. From this date, you are hereby prohibited from using Biafra in your legal business dealings, as Biafra is not a company nor business;

2. You are hereby prohibited from interfering in anything Biafra, if you want to do your legal business, do it but you must remove Biafra from it. This directive is coming from the office of the Prime Minister of the Biafra Government In Exile. The only legitimate government of Biafra;

3. Tell the DSS that sent you that once they desist from interfering in Biafra affairs, that will automatically solve their problem.

4. If you are man enough, come to Finland and challenge me, you can as well hire a lawyer in Finland;

5. We have abolish economic empowerment day, it can only be coming from a criminal like you.

THE leader of the proscribed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB operating from the custody of the Directorate of State Services (DSS), Mazi Nnamdi KANU is getting angry over the actions of the self styled Prime Minister, Simon Ekpa whom he accused of his plans to destroy Igboland over his alleged senseless SIT-AT-HOME directives and fundraising to prosecute the order to destroy Igboland.

This was contained in a Press Release by the Special Counsel to Kanu, Aloy Ejimakor on his official Twitter Page monitored by SOJ WORLDWIDE on Monday evening of August 7, 2023.

According to him, KANU referred to the actions of those who refused to take his order using his name, IPOB or ESN without his authorization as committing a crime with his name. He added that he will deal with such person regardless his place of residence.

Kabiyesi, His Royal Majesty, Oba James Adelusi Aladesuru II (JP) Petu Bi Owuro, the paramount ruler of the ancient town of Igede-Ekiti kingdom and its environs the throne of his progenitors on the 26th of June 1959 at a tender age of 26.

Oba J.A. Aladesuru II (JP) was born in 1933 and Crowned as 27th Onigede of Igede Ekiti on 26th June, 1959. He is a descendant of the OKIRIBITI ADEYIBAKA dynasty. He succeeded Oba Olubusi Apata from Onaowuro family who reigned between 1950-1957.

Oba Agunsoyebiosupa Aladesuru (I) who was the king between (1890-1941) and his wife, Olori Johanah Ogunkolade Aladesuru who was the Eleventh wife were the parents of the king and his two siblings namely: Late Princess (Dns) Olufunmilayo Fatunla (Nee Aladesuru) and Prince John Aladebusuyi Aladesuru.

Oba J.A. Aladesuru attended Baptist Central School, Igede Ekiti. He was trained as a photographer at ISEYIN between 1955 and 1956. He worked as a clerk in Upper Region Agricultural Farm ILORA near Iseyin, Oyo State between August and November 1956.

He thought in PINNOCK memorial Baptist Primary School [PMPS] Via ILORA between 1957 and August 1958. He was transferred to First Baptist Primary School Ilora via Oyo as a teacher and later transferred back to Pinnock Memorial Primary School in January 1959.

History has it that at the turn of making Late Oba Agunsoyebiosupa Aladesuru 1 Onigede of Igede, the father of the present strong and handsome Oba, the king, the choice was made without any election, it was a matter of bringing him home from IWOROKO EKITI where he was residing.

Same thing happened to his son. While Oba J.A ALADESURU was at Ilora he did visit his friend, High Chief J. A. Olowere, the Osolo Of Igede at Ibadan. Chief Osolo during his visit to Igede was cut in the web of the struggle to have his friend installed as the King.

When Chief Osolo met his friend later, he seized the opportunity to brief the Prince now the KING on the idea being muted back at home. However, the Prince i.e Oba J.A Aladesuru’s reaction was as spontaneous as it was negative. He rebuffed the offer in its totality.

Highly disenchanted with the development, the Prince drafted a strongly-worded letter that he intended to send to his people at home. But God tempered his annoyance with some elements of rationality as he decided to have his letter perused by his friend before being dispatched. To his eternal credit, Chief Olowere counseled his friend against sending the letter and the latter complied.

Mr J. A. Olofin (Balogun of Igede) who was then a councillor in Ado District Council as well as a member of Ekiti Divisional Council went ahead to convene an inclusive conference of all Igede people on the issue of Onigede chieftaincy in early 1959. It was held at the house of High Chief Aro Famoroti. In attendance were the High Chiefs (Agbailu) and eminent Igede indigenes. The conference main theme was “Onigede Selection and Rule of Law”

At the end of the conference, a position paper endorsed by all stakeholders was prepared and forwarded to the Western Regional Government in Ibadan for necessary approval. Apart from Mr Olofin, other known indigenes of Igede who played notable roles included Chief Mrs J. A. Fatunla, Mr E. O. D. Adedipe and Mr S. A. Fajemilehin and Chief J. O. Osuntokun, the then Minister of Local Government in the Western Region also made a valuable input.

Government approval of Prince James Adelusi Aladesuru as the Onigede-elect finally came very early in 1959.

On the receipt of the official letter of approval from the government, the Enumo met and fixed the crowing ceremony of the Onigede for 26th June, 1959. But the greatest task remained getting the Prince to accept the offer. The clarion call to bring the Prince home got intensified in all quarters. Indeed, it became the dominant issue in public discourse in the town and in any gathering of sons and daughters of Igede outside the town.

At a point in time, one of the Princes who had earlier been sensitized by Chief Ogundana decided to bell the cart. His name was Prince Simeon Aladesuru. Because of the sensitivity of the mission to be accomplished, i.e bringing home his brother, he had to prepare very well. In this wise, his sense of history, versatility and experience all combined, put him in good stead to accomplish the task. Thus, with the letter of appointment of his junior brother as Onigede carefully tusked inside his traveling bag, Prince Simeon headed for Ilora.

On Monday, 8th June 1959, he arrived at his destination. Coincidentally, he saw his brother a distance away going out with a view to executing an assignment given earlier to him by his church. The naming ceremony of a newly born baby to a co-church member was to take place and he had been assigned to lead the solemn ceremony.

On sighting his visitor, the Prince’s eyes were enveloped with darkness and uncertainty. He was thoroughly confused. Though he had not been told, but he already knew the likely reason for the visit of the least-expected august visitor. All the same, the message was finally delivered to him and despite the initial mixed feelings with which the young Prince received the message, he finally bowed to the verdict of fate.

He summoned courage and went ahead to perform the initial planned naming ceremony of a co-church member.




Very early the next day, Tuesday, June 9, 1959, the two Princes set out for Igede en route Ibadan. But throughout the period that the journey lasted, it was a gory tale of emotional pains for the would-be Onigede. For once, he felt quite nostalgic for Ilora and the good times he had had in the community and on the other hand, he looked at the challenges posed by the task ahead with trepidation.

But the situation in Igede was at variance with his expectations when he and his half brother arrived the town later on the day. As a matter of fact, his anxieties fizzled away when they got home as they were welcomed ceremoniously by the people of the town.

Immediately Kabiyesi was crowned, he became a rallying point of Local Government administration and took effective control of his chiefs and the entire people of Igede. The age groups were coordinated and strengthened, while Elegbes and the war veterans of Igede were encouraged to hold their meeting regularly. Kabiyesi elevated some deserving chiefs to Enumo status to ease his administration.




The 64 eventful years reign of Kabiyesi has no doubt brought remarkable and visible progress, development and lofty achievements and attitude to various segments, including but not limited to development in Education, Health care delivery, Sanitation, Politics, Social-cultural life, road network, commercial and infrastructure. These have advanced tremendously in the last 64 years of his reign.
