They did not request for an interview. I went straight for the standard and it was within 15working days.....I dont know if it is because of the visa type.

If there is a 7am or 8am flight from Warri on the appointment day then fine. From the airport take a cab to Etiebet place, that timing gives you enough time . It is not far from the Domestic airport

1. One to get a friend to transfer money into ones account for the whole thing? The reason for this is that I don't have enough maintenance money to show in my account but my friend has accepted to help transfer money into my account and it will be their for 28days towards my application as I will be applying as self sponsor. The money will be transferred in bits for one week due to the maximum transfer limit online but it will be the total sum and I will hold it in my account for 28days

2. Please I hope it will not affect my application if they see the transfer from another person's account into mine.

3. Hope it will also be acceptable since it is in my account

Good Day Dear People, I appreciate everyone helping out on this platform. I have gained alot from this platform. I would appreciate some help here: While I was a Masters International student in the UK I had baby with my boyfriend who was also an international student. Our child is now 10years old living with me in Nigeria.

After school, I got my work permit and another extension with my child as my dependent so I returned to Nigeria. My boyfriend was still there and he finally got his permanent residence. Although, while in the relationship we broke up several times and moved on back and forth.

We recently started talking again, although I have travelled several times to UK for visiting and for 2 years I never spoke to him but I always made sure I include in my application form that I have my child's father in uk although I am not on talking terms with him and same thing I tell them at the point of entry.

We recently started to speak this year and he told me he wanted to apply for our child's citizenship . We also concluded to come back together and get married .

My question: our relationship has been on some 2009 and we had our child a year after. We intend applying for our child's citizenship first
We intend getting married.
How does he apply for a spousal visa for me especially when we did not speak for 2 years before coming back this year?

RE: Nigerian Soldiers On Escort Duty Abscond With Billions of Naira

The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to some media reports fallaciously suggesting that billions of Naira was carted away by troops on Operation HARBIN KUNAMA 111 Sokoto assigned to escort Very Important Personality (VIP) to Kaduna.

Accordingl to the wrong media report - "Some personnel of the Nigerian Army absconded with "billions of naira" while on escort duty",

While it was true the personnel have absconded with large amounts of money belonging to a VIP they were assigned to escort to Kaduna, the exact amount is not known to 8 Division Nigerian Army or the then General Officer Commanding (GOC) the Division, Major General HO Otiki as was fallaciously imputed in some unverified media reports.

It should be important to clarify that neither the GOC or any personnel of the Division is aware of the exact amount of money in possession of the VIP at the time of this uncommon, embrassing, obnoxious and painful incident. It is only the person involved (the VIP) that knows the total amount involved and disclose to the media if need be.

In the face of this disgraceful, embrassing and unimaginable professional infraction by the five soldiers, who conived and orchestrated the robbery and thereafter deserted/ absconded, the Nigerian Army authority has on receiving the report, constituted a high powerered committee to holistically, thoroughly and decisively investigate the sad incident.

For record and posterity, this was what happened and has since been reported to all the Nigerian Army formations and units and the public for awareness and possible arrest of the criminals when seen:

"The under listed 5 soldiers of operation HARBIN KUNAMA III Sokoto were detailed on escort duty from Sokoto to Kaduna at about 1500 hours on 11th July 2019. The VIP was in a white Hilux, while the escorts were in a Buffalo gun truck. The soldiers conived and robbed the VIP at gun point on their way to Kaduna. They however abandoned the gun truck at the airstrip in Jaji. They have since scattered in different directions including Jos, Suleja etc as indicated in last geoloc tracking".

"Nigerians are by this notice advised to intercept the following individuals or report them to any police station:
1. Cpl Gabriel Oluwaniyi 07083502341 08063406601.
2. Cpl Mohammed Aminu 07034619455.
3. LCpl Commander Haruna 08039594638.
4 LCpl Oluji Joshua 08137622689.
5. LCpl Hayatudeen 08033756986.

All the above listed 5 soldiers were attached from Infantry Corp Centre Jaji".

All formations and units of the Nigerian Army have been alerted and requested to direct their men to be on the look out for these 5 deserting and disgraceful soldiers. They are to be apprehended and handed over to 8 Div Provost Group for prompt action/ prosecution.

The Nigerian Army as a respected institution, under the able leadership of Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai, will do all that is necessary to fish out these criminals. Such kinds of individuals, once discovered, - have no place in today's Nigerian Army.

Do you have a valid visit visa. If yes, then you have nothing to worry. Just provide the address of your boyfriend on the land card. In case you’re asked what you business in UK? Just be honest and tell them you are visiting your boyfriend in Liverpool who invited you. Have in hand a copy of the invite and his telephone number. Since you’re a frequent traveler to the UK, I don’t envisage any problem at POE.

Vicjustice: Well, you don't seem to understand the reason Justwise asked you that question regarding the difference betwen Family Visit and Tourist visa...
I thought these issues had been raised before and they had been addressed... Now, about the American visa, that could only be a problem to someone who doesn't seem to have enough fund to finance two international holiday trips: but as someone who has a hundred and sixty million, why do you worry so much about a Uk tourist visa? Except there is irregularity with your huge finance causing a concern of corruption or dangerous activities especially such that finances terrorism. If you're clean from these, I see no country that won't be happy to grant you something more than a tourist visa

Error meant 1.63 . If i did not understand why he asked me d difference btw a family visitor and tourist visa then more light should be shed on it or you just ignore the question. I guess you should know that was a mistake as from my earlier thread with you where I mentioned I was a salary earner. Dear just wise, thanks for your response. From ur question, family visiting visa is when u have a family in uk and visitor is when u are without a family in the uk, the point I was trying to drive at is hope cos my boyfriend is on psw dat hope it wouldn't hinder our visa processing I didn't mean influence that was why I asked if you thought it would be more safe to book an hotel instead of putting his address down in the form. Also with booking an hotel would it raise an eyebrow that why would I want my child and I to stay in an hotel when we can stay with him and also that why am I applying for visitors visa when I ave a bf on temporary psw. It's just raised questions I need to she'd light on. Also just to add this, my son and I have an American visa which we were issued in April 2013 but we are yet to use it, hope these would affect getting a uk visa as well. As at today, my acct balance is 163 million hope it alright for my child and my application. Thanks always

Vicjustice: Your PSW is not a certificate of employment, it is a legal document that makes you eligible to take up employment in the UK, and it entitles you to travel in and out of the country under it terms and conditions: and as it does not guarantee employment, you shouldn't have any problem whatsoever except there is a clause that explicitly states that you must take up an employment during its validity otherwise, you haven't broken any rules for being unsuccessful in finding a job in the UK.


Yes, you can apply for family visit if there is available evidence that your boyfriend in the UK is indeed the biological father of the child, but in the absence of such evidence, it would be more difficult to prove the paternity than to apply for a tourist visa: either way, it is important to bear in mind that your boyfriend (being in the UK with PWS visa) does not add much advantage to your applications especially as he does not have a conducive accommodation for you

Do you think its just easier n straightforward that my child and I applied for a visit visa instead of the family visit and we just book an hotel but I hope from uk embassy records that it does show dat my bf who is my baby dad still presently in the uk. Thanks just wise , my major concern is does it matter that I didn't work in the uk with the psw and I was more n Nigeria in 2012 because I started working here and that I still travelled on the psw as it will show on my passport. Also, is it okay to drop my bfs home address and do I need him to write any letter for us at all? Also, is the balance in my acct okay for my little boy and myself? Thank you

Also when the company writes my letter do they have to put it in that I have been there since April 2012 . Also do I ply for a 2years or 5years as I have had two years twice before I switched into other visa categories though its going to be my child's first application as I had him in uk in 2010 and he only becam my dependent visa the post study work permit. Dear just wise, I have been following up on your advice and responses to people. Pls I need your advice based on uk visa. I started getting uk visas since 2002 from 6 mths visa to 2 years twice and in the year 2007 I went to study a post graduate diploma in a particular course whose duration was 18 mths including internship. I got 2 years student visa from Nigeria then after the completion of the postgraduate I plied for a masters degree in the uk and came back to Nigeria to get another student visa in 2009 . During my masters , I had a child in 2010 with my boyfriend who was also doing his masters in uk. Though he started his masters 4 mths after I had started mine. After the completion of my masters I got a post study work permit which started from march 2011 till 2013' my child also got the dependent . In January 2012 I came job hunting in Nigeria and I got a job in April so travelled to uk with my child on the psw to shop and we spent 3 weeks as the father of my son was already on psw and was working then we returned and travelled again with my child in oct 2012 and we spent almost 3 was again. I also made another trip to the uk again in jan 2013 with the psw though spent a week. The psw expired in march 2013'. The point now is I want to apply for a visiting visa with my child but don't knw if I should apply for a visitors visa but remember I said my boyfriend the father of my child is still on psw in the uk and his expired in niv2013 or is it family visitor. Also as nth parents name are on our child's birth certificate . Also I work in nigerianand I presently have 1.5 million in my current acct.i can get a letter from my office etc. another question is would the consular officer raise a brow on the times I used the psw and times I stayed in Nigeria and would they request why I was still using it when I already got a job in Nigeria.
