Ghanaian star Kevin-Prince Boateng has blasted his brother saying he wants nothing to do with him again after the former Bayern star was found guilty of assaulting his ex-girlfriend recently.

Boateng recently appeared in a Munich court for a domestic violence incident that took place in 2018 while he was on holiday with his ex-girlfriend in the Turks and Caicos Islands.


The 2014 FIFA World Cup winner was found guilty and fined €1.8 million for his actions, although he managed to escape a jail sentence.


His brother Kevin-Prince has now insisted he wants nothing to do with him anymore.


“I’ve already distanced myself from Jerome [Boateng] for a long time,” he told Bild.

“I appreciate and respect German law. I despise violence against women.

“I don’t identify with the actions of my brother and therefore I have nothing to do with him anymore.”

Kevin-Prince, who currently plays for Hertha Berlin, has reportedly not spoken to Jerome for a while now.

“Kevin cut ties with Jerome months ago, but this has remained silent until now,” a source told Bild.

“Jerome was always seen as the good and sweet brother, whilst Kevin was seen as a bad boy. However, it is the opposite.”

Former Chelsea, Newcastle and West Ham striker Demba Ba has retired from professional football aged 36.

Ba, a former Senegal international won the Europa League with Chelsea in 2013 and twice won the Turkish title, first with Besiktas in 2016-17 and then Istanbul Basaksehir in 2019-20.

He was without a club after walking out on Swiss side Lugano in August.
He wrote on his Twitter handle:”What a wonderful journey it has been. Football has given me so many beautiful emotions.”


Ba first moved to England in January 2011 with West Ham from Hoffenheim, having scored 40 goals in 103 appearances for the German club.

He scored seven goals in 13 appearances for the Hammers before moving to Newcastle six months later.

For Newcastle he netted 29 times in 57 games, joining Chelsea in January 2013 where he started just 23 of his 51 games for the Blue – scoring 14 goals – as he found himself third choice behind Samuel Eto’o and Fernando Torres.

In between stints playing in Turkey he also played in China for Shanghai Shenhua.

Nigeria goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi is expected to leave South African club Kaizer Chiefs In January 2022, Completesports.com reports.

According to several reports, the 35-year-old will move to another club during the winter transfer window following a successful spell with the Amakhosi.

Akpeyi linked up with Chiefs from another South African club Chippa United in January 2019 penning a one-and-a-half year deal.

The former Warri Wolves goalkeeper signed a new two-year deal in January this year.

He is now expected to leave the Glamour Boys before the expiration of his contract in June 2022.

Akpeyi has made 25 league appearances for Kaizer Chiefs since arriving at the club.

Paul Pogba is reportedly leaning towards signing a new deal at Manchester United.

The World Cup-winning Frenchman has entered the final year of his existing contract with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side and continues to be heavily linked with a free transfer to Real Madrid next summer.

Arteta stated that the young striker has beven withdrawn from the senior squad.

He explained, “He made his debut against Brentford and he played the following game against Chelsea as well. It’s been a big step for him in the last few months.

Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has rewarded his teammates N5million following their 2-1 win against Cape Verde on Tuesday, in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

The money was from the N10million he was rewarded with for reaching 100 caps with the Eagles.

“For the 10 million, I’m giving back 5 million to the team,” Musa, who was surrounded by his teammates, team officials and NFF president Amaju Pinnick, said in a short video on NFF TV.

The country’s football governing body announced the gesture will be extended to other players who achieve such a milestone.

Musa made his 100th appearance for the Eagles after he was included in the starting eleven against Cape Verde.


The 28-year-old was later replaced by Henry Onyekuru in the 72nd minute.

He made his debut with the Eagles in 2010 in a qualification match against Madagascar for the 2012 AFCON.

He has represented Nigeria at two AFCONs (2013, 2019) and two FIFA World Cups (2014, 2018).

Also, he was part of the Eagles squad that featured at the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil.

Brazilian football icon Edson Arantes do Nascimento popularly known as Pele, has celebrated the successful surgery which he underwent to remove a tumor.

The three-time World Cup winner said he had the surgery last Saturday, days after he was hospitalized in Sao Paulo, Brazil.


Commenting on the successful surgery, Pele wrote on his Instagram page:”My friends, thank you very much for the kind messages. I thank God for feeling very well and for allowing Dr. Fábio and Dr. Miguel to take care of my health. Last Saturday I underwent surgery to remove a suspicious lesion in the right colon.

“The tumor was identified during the tests I mentioned last week.


“Fortunately, I’m used to celebrating great victories alongside you. I will face this match with a smile on my face, a lot of optimism and joy for living surrounded by the love of my
family and friends.”


The 80-year-old has had several significant health issues in recent years.

He had a failed hip replacement surgery in 2012, and has been hospitalized multiple times due to kidney and prostate issues.

He was a member of the Brazilian side that won the 1958, 1962 and1970 World Cups, which makes him the only male player ever to achieve the feat.

He is still Brazil’s all-time leading scorer with 77 goals.

Former Real Madrid director general, Jorge Valdano has disclosed that Lionel Messi’s departure to PSG hurts the Los Blancos.

Messi left Barcelona this summer to join the Paris club in a two-year deal.

Valdano in an interview with El Pais said that La Liga will never remain the same without Messi.

“There’s the feeling that Barcelona just didn’t have the money to pay Messi. An illusion was created, and because everything happened so fast it seemed like he’d been kicked out. In a game where identity is so important, getting rid of a legend like him isn’t just painful, it’s inexplicable.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier between Brazil and Argentina has been suspended after the host country’s health officials stormed the field to remove four Argentine players.

According to the Mirror, the match played in Sao Paulo started, but was halted minutes from the start after four players allegedly falsified Covid-19 documents.


No less than four Premier League players that play for Argentina face the brunt of ‘lying’ on documents that they filed to gain entry into Brazil for the match.

This however changed within minutes of the start of the game, Brazil’s health authority Anvisa entered the pitch along with the police and ordered the match to be stopped until the four players were off the field and detained.

Cristiano Ronaldo has banned his mum from watching his debut game between Man United and Newcastle this weekend.

The 36-year-old completed his return to Old Trafford on deadline day, signing a two-year deal with an option to extend that for a further 12 months.

Ronaldo lost his father Jose Dinis to liver failure due to alcoholism in 2005, just two years into his first stint at Old Trafford.

In an interview with Dailymail, the five-time Ballon d’or winner stated that he’s not prepared to lose his mother at the moment.

“She’s not allowed now to watch big games,” he told Piers Morgan in an interview for the Daily Mail.

“I say, ‘Listen, I don’t have a father any more. I don’t want to lose my mum, too, so you’re not going to watch the quarter finals, semi-finals, or finals.”

FC Porto of Portugal defender Zaidu Sanusi has finally arrived Nigeria’s camp ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixtures against Liberia and Cape Verde, reports Completesports.com.

Nigeria goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has rejoined Cypiot Club Omonia Nicosia on a three-year contract, reports Completesports.com.

Uzoho linked up with Omonia Nicosia after terminating his contract with another Cypriot club Apoel Nicosia.

Today singer Rita Johal says Mahrez, who earns £160,000 a week, transformed from a down-to-earth dad who shopped in Asda into a “big head” after his move from Leicester City.

And Johal thinks Tottenham striker Harry Kane’s wife Kate should breathe a sigh of relief now that his £160million transfer to Man City has collapsed.

The 28-year-old mother of two exclusively told The Sun on Sunday: “I can’t comment on other people’s lives but moving there changed my husband.

“Harry Kane’s wife probably had a lucky escape. Others should be careful.

“Riyad let fame go to his head. He changed when he went to Manchester City.

“But a footballer’s career is short-lived.

“They should remain grounded and loyal to those they care for, even when they have moved up to a bigger club, because when it’s all over they will realise who’s truly there.”

Rita told how she changed her faith for Muslim Riyad, stopped drinking alcohol and accepted a quiet life with the star when she first met him seven years ago.

But when he moved north for £60million in 2018, she says Riyad, 30, turned cold towards her.

Now he has moved on and is engaged to influencer Taylor Ward.

She said: “The Riyad I met is a different person to the one he is now. He parties, he acts like a flash footballer.

The pair became inseparable and just four months later they married in a secret ceremony.

Johal said: “We had a small wedding at home.

“I loved him, I wanted to do that. I changed the way I was for him. I changed my faith.

“I stopped drinking, as he didn’t drink. I loved his values. And I wanted a solid family life.

“I wanted us to be strong together like my own parents and he felt the same way.

“Our wedding was low key at home with two priests and our close family.

“We were madly in love and we wanted to be together for ever.

“At first we were just a normal family.

“Riyad wasn’t flash. Yes, he was a footballer, but we were just your regular couple with our two little girls.

“He went and played football, I was a stay-at-home mum. We would watch films together.”

But in July 2018, Manchester City confirmed his signing on a five-year contract. The transfer fee of £60million made him the club’s then most expensive player.

Johal says that is when their lives changed completely. Rita, now living in Beaconsfield, Bucks, said: “The loving, humble and caring Riyad disappeared.

He started to believe his own hype. He had yes men who told him what he wanted to hear. I started to see the change in him.

“He stopped asking me how my day went and what I was going to do.

“I think I became the boring wife at home and he had this glitzy lifestyle away from me.

“He started to just ignore me.

“Obviously I asked what was going on and he would say, ‘I am pressured, it is the football, I am stressed’.”

Kelechi Iheanacho, Wilfred Ndidi and Alex Iwobi are among the five players who have arrived the Super Eagles Eko Hotel camp, Lagos, ahead of the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Liberia and Cape Verde, Completesports.com reports.

Arsenal are reportedly considering former Chelsea and Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte as Mikel Arteta’s successor.

Former Nigerian forward, Jonathan Akpoborie believes Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr has the array of players to lead the team to glory land in Cameroon.

Nigeria, three-time champions of the AFCON, are joined in Group D by Egypt, Sudan, and Guinea-Bissau.

The team will open their tournament campaign against seven-time champions, the Pharaohs of Egypt, on January 11, before taking on 1970 champions Sudan’s Falcons of Jediane on January 15. They will thereafter round off their group stage games against Guinea-Bissau’s Djurtus on January 19.

Speaking with Completesports.com, the former Wolfsburg striker stated that the Super Eagles will qualify from the group stages regardless of who they face.

He noted that the real task comes during the knockout stages where Nigeria are likely to face some of the big teams in Africa football.

Akpoborie, however, urged the German tactician to sharpen his ability to read games quickly in a bid to avoid a repeat of what happened in 2019 AFCON.

“I must confess that the Super Eagles won’t find it difficult to qualify from Group D that consists of Egypt, Sudan, and Guinea-Bissau because we have the players to get the job done.

Imaobong Nse Uko, the reigning World U18 fastest girl (51.70s) lived up to expectation on the opening day of the World Athletics U20 Championship in Nairobi, Kenya, running 52.33 seconds to qualify for the 400m final which will be run on Saturday.

Nse Uko, the youngest member of the Nigerian mixed relay team which set a new African record at the Tokyo Olympics ran the fastest qualifying time in the semifinal heats and looks on course to becoming the third Nigerian girl after Fatimah Yusuf (1990) and Bisi Afolabi (1994) to win the quartermile gold at the championship.

The 17 year old will run from lane six in the final as the lone Nigerian representative.
Also through to the final is the 4x400m mixed relay team who also ran the fastest time and a national record time of 3:21.66 in qualifying for the final this evening at the Kasarani stadium in Nairobi.

In the 100m, the trio of Godson Oghenebrume, Praise Ofokwu and Tima Godbless qualified for this evening’s semifinal.

Oghenebrume ran 10.35 seconds to win his heat while his compatriot, Favour Ashe (11.00s) disappointed as he finished seventh to crash out of the blue ribband event.


In the women’s race, both Ofoku and Godbless made it to the semifinal.

Ofoku ran 11.65 to win heat two of the first round while Godbless was second (11.59) in the third heat behind Namibia’s Beatrice Masilingi who ran a new 11.20 national record to win.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has offered the Juventus forward to Manchester City this summer for just £25m.

Ronaldo has just 10 months left to run on his £25.5million-a-year contract at Juventus and his future in Turin is far from certain, having been linked with moves to PSG, Real Madrid and former club Manchester United in the past.

Tammy Abraham has joined Roma from Chelsea for a club record fee of £34m and has signed a five-year contract with the Serie A club.

The 23-year-old will wear the number nine shirt at Roma and becomes the club’s fourth signing of the summer.

Tottenham Hotspur centre-forward Harry Kane is reportedly still determined to join Manchester City before this summer’s transfer window closes for business.

The 28-year-old was not involved in Tottenham’s 1-0 win over Man City on Sunday afternoon, with Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo claiming that the England captain was not fit enough to be named in the squad.

Chelsea have re-signed Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan for £97.5m.

The Champions League holders confirmed Lukaku’s return on their official website on Thursday.

The 28-year-old returns to Stamford Bridge on a five-year deal, having left the Blues to join Everton for in 2014.
The fee is just short of the British transfer record of £100m paid by Manchester City for Jack Grealish.

“I came here as a kid who had a lot to learn, now I’m coming back with a lot of experience and more mature,” Lukaku said.


“I have supported Chelsea as a kid and now to be back and try to help them win more titles is an amazing feeling.”

Raphael Varane could reportedly be announced as a Manchester United player on Wednesday following his move from Real Madrid.

The World Cup-winning Frenchman is set to complete a move to the Red Devils after the club agreed a £34m deal with Los Blancos, but quarantine and visa issues have thus far prevented him from linking up with the squad.

Belgian star striker Romelu Lukaku is set to become the most expensive player in history in accumulated transfer fees as he nears his Chelsea return.

Lukaku is close to re-joining Chelsea – ten years after first doing so – with Inter Milan accepting a £97.5million bid.

It means he will have cost the most in joint transfers ever, surpassing Neymar’s prior record of £246.6m.

Inter signed the Belgian for £74m in 2019 in a move which rejuvenated Lukaku.

He scored 34 goals in his first season as Inter narrowly missed out on the Serie A by just a point.

But last season Lukaku helped the Italian giants end their 11 year wait for a league title as he hit 24 goals in 36 matches.

It has convinced Chelsea to go back in for their old striker, as they looked to bolster their threat in front of goal.
