I understand what you mean by it being a saving grace for some people but you know some of them who don't see themselves as downcasts that could not pass JAMB later turn out well. It's all a matter of one's individual input into life that determines the output. But some were made to go due to what their parents wanted like a girl I know she had the best WAEC result in kd and also the second best JAMB and she's studying elect elect in my school and till now sef she's on a 4.92 CGPA... So u may be right.... But also looking at it critically JAMB was just not fair to some people like my junior Bro set when the wrote JAMB the highest in ppt was 208 which was scored by the best in their set while guys that wrote cbt the lowest was 215 that's why some times I don't like using JAMB as a yardstick. |

in that case it's justifiable. But some institutions are terrible enough to compromise with things that ought to matter a lot.
Well, we hope to see a new generation of African scientists who will liberate us from the long-extended shackles of the white that has caged our self-esteem I tell you some private universities are just disgracing the good ones... I believe our educational system would change one day and we would be given the opportunity to utilize our potentials... Keep soaring high Bro. |

Newerakings: Most of you ran to private universities and Ghanaian Universities because you could not pass Jamb and Post UTME..... Nonsense. not so true Bro... I'm a student in one of these schools and I know a lot of bright minds who their parents just don't want them to go through the hardship they went through while in school.... I tell u a very good environment helps most private University students... No strike, lecturers are compelled to come to class, very good accommodation and so on. I tell you if government's universities can adopt these things the same thing would also be happening because there are a lot of bright minds also in government universities just that they are subjected to the wrong conditions. Though I would also acknowledge some private schools are bad eggs dragging others collectively into the mud. |

I don't blame people because my father too once belonged to the school of thought that all private schools are substandard until he had an encounter with CU and LMU... it's the bad eggs that do cause the ill comments. |

God will help us sha No actually in the case of Landmark University and CU the rich ones don't have an option too because our practicals are so compulsory and monitored to the core so it's almost impossible to see a CU or LMU graduate that does not know shit about what he/she studied because they make sure you spend your parents money well by force. |

And before anyone query the contribution of all these first class degrees to Nigeria pls let us also query the value of UK first classes to Nigeria because at least there are more UK first class recipients in Nigeria than there are those from CU. TheVictorious were u in CU today? Please tell them because the way some people take private schools as sub standard ehn... I'm a student and I can proudly vouch for CU, ABUAD BABCOCK, LANDMARK, REDEEMERS, BOWEN etc. I know what it takes to bag a first class degree in this schools trust me. |

Alanzazani: I have also decided to start speaking up. We shouldn't allow these misguided youths overshadow reason with stupidity. Most of the ipob supporters on nairaland are just young and angry youths I can feel thier pain. They need an escape route. The country has failed all of us myself inclusive.
I have sat down analysed the current struggle and I have concluded Kanu is not the right person to spearhead this struggle. He lacks tact and wisdom. There are millions of ibos in Nigeria. If a referadum which I know won't be conducted is conducted we owe ourselves a duty not to be lackadasical about it. Ibos in the north, enlightened and nationalistic ibos should come out and make thier voice heard. These miscreants feel anybody with an opposing view is Yoruba. I have tried educating the blockheads how sitting at home will make APC claim Anambra state on a platter of gold. That criminal called Kanu is playing out a script. We will understand where this leads to at the end of the day. As per a state of emergency that won't happen my brother. Politicians will mobilise thier supporters to vote believe you me. If 10000 people cast thier votes in Anambra then an election held with voter apathy. The only downside is an unpopular government will finally be installed in anambra state. And this lunatic would have succeeded in destroying the gains recorded in anambra state after the end of the reign of the criminal government of Mbadinuju. With all the ibo you wrote here one kid called you an Afonja. Wonder will never end I dey tell... They still dey call this guy Yoruba... The truth is Biafra could be the way forward but has anyone taken time out to reason what are Kanu's visions for Biafra after it is created?... But then when u try to be a critical thinker some see you as an opposition and end up calling u names. |

Nice tips... Cost to design would not have much impact on a project owner with a good financial base but can be detrimental to a project owner not wanting to exceed the limit of his/her estimates... Therefore DTC would be best for such people to avoid probable project abandoning. |

mainman7: Some intelligent NLander Yoruba guys and I were discussing igbo/Yoruba observed stuffs and we came to one conclusion that some igbos were applying 48 Laws Power rules to brainwash gullible Yorubas here. Last year, they started derogatorily calling and generalizing all Yorubas as Afonjas when we were known as Awoists since my earliest times on NairaLand. They know you soon take on the Character of the name you accept. Before this igbos started this nonsense, we on NL know purselves to be Awoists portraying the great Awolowo values. Just like the igbos planned and hoped, now some gullible easily brainwashed Yorubas go like "we Afonjas are the best" .... Afonja was the greatest Enemy of Yorubas while Awolowo brought innumerable great pace-setting Achievements to Yoruba Land and to Nigeria as a whole. Awolowo is Nigeria's Greatest Generallissimo whose millitary intelligence and strategy quickly ended long-fought Civil war. igbos fabricated and perpetuated a lie that Awo ate poison when it was medically confirmed that Awolowo died from cardiac issues, which must have resulted from restlessly patrotically carrying the burden of efforts to make Nigeria great. Even Great Britian said Awolowo is the best President Nigeria never had. Some brainwashed Yorubas may try to point out Awo's fault, forgetting that NO humanbeing can be perfect. Ojuckwu cowardly ran away, yet igbos celebrate him till date. If he was to be Yoruba, he would have been skinned alive when he returned. Infact, his family would have been made to forever bury their head in shame. If you have NEVER achieved 10% of what Awo achieved for Yorubas and you crucify Awo... Any igbo that calls we Yorubas afonja again instead of Awoists shall soon shattered by thunder! I dey tell u... Yoruba person too go follow dey shout I'm a proud Afonja up and down.... Afonja was just a failed traitor... The reverse psychology has gone far deep into some that they now sheepishly pride themselves in nonsense...I pray some Yoruba peeps here have a rethink |

Henry240: They are not designed to be built or used with armour. You use the vehicle for roles were it's advantages are maximized.
It's advantages are;
- It is air transportable, this means that it is so light, the Nigerian army can simply sling it under a Nigerian Air Force helicopter and take to anywhere operations are to take place against any enemy.
- Firepower, for such a small vehicle, you can see the amount of firepower it can bring to bear on the enemy. A 12.7mm Heavy Machine Gun, and a 7.62mm Light Machine Gun
- It is an All Terrain Vehicle, it can be used in all the terrains, very important advantage. The enemy cannot hide.
- Speed, it is a very fast vehicle both on and off-road
- Thermal cameras, you can see cameras visible in the vehicle, this means for night raids, commandos can sneak up on the enemy and let hell lose, without having to turn on vehicle headlamps.
- Situational awareness, this means since the vehicle is open, they soldiers are constantly aware of their surroundings and movements around the area, unlike in a vehicle with armour.
The vehicles brings so much advantages, as such no armour is required. You can see the soldiers are all wearing bulletproof vests, that's all the armour they would need. Thanks Bro.. U just said it all. |
