Christianity EtcRe: Shepherd Bushiri Acquires A New $12m Mansion (Photos) by SoldierBoy1(m): 7:55am On Aug 13, 2017
The thing is tithing is what a Christian is expected to do, but it becomes wrong when a pastor use it for his /her personal profiting. So it's not tithing that is wrong. Therefore play your own role as a Christian by paying your tithe where the Spirit of God leads you, so a Pastor that enriches him/herself is left to God who is the ultimate Judge. All that matters is giving your tithe in accordance with the Bible as God is a God that sees the motive. Therefore tithing shouldn't be condemned even if some pastors have decided to err. Remember the Bible should be the base of living your Christian life and not a Pastor. God Bless.

BiafraBushBoy:
trash

When propaganda pops up, be sure to know it is one.

Fayemi just like the asshole named Ajimobi in Ibadan are just two sides of the same coin.

in their first tenure, they acted like saints and was trying to impress. They continued owing salaries and claimed that infrastructure was of more priority.

Oyo guys were fools to reelect the asshole named Ajimobi, but Ekiti people were wise to see behind the deception of Fayemi.

was is the end result?

In Ibadan, people are dying of starvation, salaries are being owed , no money to even enjoy the fine roads, hunger everywhere.

in Ekiti after they booted out the Fayemi asshole, No wonderful infrastructure, but people are not hungry and starving.

Op, which state would you prefer as a state civil servant?

In Nigeria you can't have a perfect state ThT flows with milk and honey!!

Sacrifices must be made!!!
We did not re elect Ajimobi, instead he rigged his way in.... Akala running under the platform of LP slashed his votes, while Ladoja had more votes. But then we know the rigging was completed at Iseyin around 11pm.

PoliticsRe: Niger Delta Militants Order Northerners & Yorubas Out Of Region Before October 1 by SoldierBoy1(m): 8:52pm On Aug 10, 2017
Most people advocating for violence here have never felt the rocking sound of a nearby bomb blast or seen the head of a loved one roll and all that could be done is to keep running if not they won't be here preaching violence. With what I read it referred to oil companies owned by northerners and Yorubas but with Nairalanders interpretations, if dire need be my Yoruba guys should come back home because no investment is worth dying for, Your life comes first.

i give up on afonjas
I am Yoruba and I don't harvest skulls, it would do us more good if we see things from a positive view. The South East having the lowest contribution in rice production does not mean the region does not have it's own contribution to the economy. Anyways I blame Nairalanders who have made all things to be seen with from a tribal view. God Bless.
AgricultureRe: The Largest Rice Producing States And Geopolitical Zones In Nigeria (Photos) by SoldierBoy1(m): 4:19pm On Aug 09, 2017
Yoruba guys here there's no point insulting the South East over an issue as this. Each region should maximize their advantages, so we should all do best in our individual capacities instead of been tribalistic. Abeg my Yoruba guy na beg I dey beg una. Aju be lo. # Omoluabi

The Yoruba guys on this thread see what nairaland has transformed you to, you can't celebrate success without mentioning names. You guys should show you're far above the reins of giving everything a tribal label. By the way it's confusing how some of you have accepted the label Afonja, we are Yorubas please so get yourself back on track and stop calling yourself Afonja.

I try to fit into the thinking of "some" Nairalanders and it's just pathetic... Any Yoruba person that has issues if Igbos are truly jews should get him or herself checked because it should be of no concern to you and those saying Yorubas would come and wail on this thread if I may ask why?, because I know being jew does not entail superiority. Abeg guys get matured and stop throwing tantrums because of an issue like this as you guys are not toddlers. God bless.

Meel:
Bro am not saying, they should sacrifice, 10 month salary.
The sacrifice am saying is that they should meet with management, and be running the school with the little IGR, with that the number of owed salaries will reduce.
Am not sure of these, but the 10 month being owed is the 10 month of strike, not that they are working and not being paid.

We are on our own, ASUU and student. We have a bleeped up govt, unless we try and better the ground for our self, we will always be losing out.
The government always win, if they even lose the governors have nothing to lose. Aregbe and ajimobi can turn a blind eye to our predicament, they have nothing to lose, but students and lecturers have everything to lose.
I get u so well but u know the VC was the one that sold out the school to these governors in the first place by telling them LAUTECH generates enough IGR but in the long run it backfired as the IGR could no longer sustain the operations of the school. So right now even if the school generates IGR to pay probably a month salary, the question is how this would be sustained in the long run because this same thing happened in the first place.

What they need is assurance to be paid fully if the audit is clean enough. They are asking for the pay. Re-read the article.
I went through the article, the truth is the workers have been pushed to the wall. the guys in the auditing committee recommended that the owner States pay an offset of 1.7billion to enable workers resume so that the audit can be carried out hoping that the remaining balance would be paid soonest after the auditing but these governors are not giving them the assurance of even paying the offset instead they come out with a propaganda intended at turning the public against the unions. The truth is even if the offset of 1.7billion gets paid, the balance must be paid soonest to avoid recurring strikes. It's the right of the workers to demand for an assurance of full payment and I don't think that's a bad thing to do and more so, it's very ok they agreed with the 1.7billion offset so the governors are the ones putting things on hold now by not paying that.

Meel:
pls what was the cause of the recently concluded 9month strike??

if my sources are right, before the last strike the lecturers aren't owned a dime(not so sure).

There has been too many propaganda, we don't even know the truth of the matter. In other to solve these issue, our workers need to make sacrifices. if they continue to be strife with the government, we as student might lose out in the short run, but they might lose out in the long run.

With the way these crises is lingering on, there is no sign of resumption these year. And if we don't resume this year, it will make it 15 month of owed salary. I repeat no government will pay it staff 15 month of salary. Our only hope is the new government, 2018/2019 govt.

If ASUU really love us and themselves, they should resume and our token of Igr should be use to finance the school, till time of possible solution.

Aregbe is owing osun doc 22 month, Ajimobi is owing state workers 4 month, and heaven did not fall. If the lecturers think, being on strike will solve the issue, they are on a long thing. Aregbe and Ajimobi don't care.

N.b My mum works for Oyo state govt, I knows how it feel.
Guy the thing is asking the workers to sacrifice 10months salary would be nothing close to fair, a lot have taken loans that only God knows how they would pay back.... It's not like there is no money but these governors are just been adamant.... No one wants to work without a pay... Even if LAUTECH resume today and salaries remain unpaid how do you think the lecturers would survive with no salaries till 2019!!!..mind you the non payment started bit by bit till the governors made it a norm. Guy I have guys that had to drop out of private universities because of this issue. God bless.

The union are not being sincere here. Why force the govt to release fund when a proper audit has not been carried out? That's like saying the independent panel carried out their own audit.
They should allow the KPMG audit go on.
Another angle to this is the fact that student in this institution are now being afforded 6 years to study a four year program. That isn't fair to private uni student who take more workload in their own four years. The public uni system is a joke.
Guy the thing is the workers need an assurance that they won't be made to resume for auditing and not get paid again, because these governors have once made them resume with a promise that salaries would be paid just for the workers to discover it was all deceit.... For we here at Oyo and Osun States, we know how terrible these governors can be and we are not ready to gamble auditing without pay again. My own parents have not been paid for 10 months and the first thing you want them to do is to resume for auditing without an assurance of payment?...

Those who are saying the auditing should go ahead should make it clear,u mean the striking workers should go back to work without 10 months salary for the audit to take place?
Note that the recommendation of the panel is that 1.7 billion be paid by both states to ensure resumption then carry out an audit but due to the insincerity of the governors and their reps the news they are peddling is that of the unions trying to help the university evade audit,I think the governors should pay some of the salaries and see if they will resume for audit to take place or not.
Do not let us forget this is APC if they are really right that the unions are obstructing justice in terms of avoiding audit they would have been sued, pls dnt let us be fooled by this lieing government
exactly most people saying the auditing should go on know nothing about these governors, they have played this same game of deceit before and the workers are clearly not ready for a re-occurence.... After the auditing what is the assurance these governors would pay... Is it Ajimobi that said if the workers were praying enough and truly God exists, he should have been long dead.... Such heartless being.

What the government is doing is good riddance to bad rubbish, some of us have both parents working in LAUTECH and I can tell you how hard even feeding is.... U did not pay salary for 10 months and then to feel justified to the public you come up with auditing and say the unions are rejecting auditing.... Like seriously Ajimobi and Aregbesola need to have their brains checked.

Even the Ogbomoso they call IDP sef is clearly not... I am so sure most of them have not been there. So making mockery of this kind of thread is a clear sign of immaturity.

Christianity EtcRe: Seven Nigerians Make List Of Top 20 World Richest Pastors [see List] by SoldierBoy1(m): 3:38pm On Jul 31, 2017
The truth is when we see rich pastors, we complain like Pastors are not meant to be rich. The truth is looking at someone like Pastor Adeboye whom many see as their spiritual father and someone who God has blessed them in some ways through him would have a lot entering into his account daily. So before the destructive criticism, if God calls you also genuinely to become a pastor and a large number of people are being blessed by God through you, the same thing would happen. God bless
