The thing is tithing is what a Christian is expected to do, but it becomes wrong when a pastor use it for his /her personal profiting. So it's not tithing that is wrong. Therefore play your own role as a Christian by paying your tithe where the Spirit of God leads you, so a Pastor that enriches him/herself is left to God who is the ultimate Judge. All that matters is giving your tithe in accordance with the Bible as God is a God that sees the motive. Therefore tithing shouldn't be condemned even if some pastors have decided to err. Remember the Bible should be the base of living your Christian life and not a Pastor. God Bless. |
It's our culture as Yorubas so it's good she's doing what is right. |
tit:Even If, it's a welcome development. Note :it's Yoruba not Afonja. God bless. |
It's great the way I see less of my Yoruba guys finding trouble on a thread that does not have anything to do with them. Keep it up guys. It's good you guys are beginning to live and letting others live, Thumbs up. |
BiafraBushBoy:We did not re elect Ajimobi, instead he rigged his way in.... Akala running under the platform of LP slashed his votes, while Ladoja had more votes. But then we know the rigging was completed at Iseyin around 11pm. |
I don't know why some of my Yoruba guys keep infiltrating this kind of thread, can you guys just stay clear because it's purposeless making hate comments on a thread as this. Abeg show you're more than that abeg. Show you're true Omoluabis who do not get dragged into a needless display of Bigotry. #Omoluabi |
Most people advocating for violence here have never felt the rocking sound of a nearby bomb blast or seen the head of a loved one roll and all that could be done is to keep running if not they won't be here preaching violence. With what I read it referred to oil companies owned by northerners and Yorubas but with Nairalanders interpretations, if dire need be my Yoruba guys should come back home because no investment is worth dying for, Your life comes first. |
One of them wrote a prescription like that for me just today... I almost went crazy trying to understand, all I could read were the first and last letters and then mg. |
IgboticGirl:I am Yoruba and I don't harvest skulls, it would do us more good if we see things from a positive view. The South East having the lowest contribution in rice production does not mean the region does not have it's own contribution to the economy. Anyways I blame Nairalanders who have made all things to be seen with from a tribal view. God Bless. |
Yoruba guys here there's no point insulting the South East over an issue as this. Each region should maximize their advantages, so we should all do best in our individual capacities instead of been tribalistic. Abeg my Yoruba guy na beg I dey beg una. Aju be lo. # Omoluabi |
So when did it become a crime for our Yoruba politicians to fuel a protest?Meanwhile no right thinking Yoruba would act like a slave to an Hausa man, so you guys should stop taking the actions or words of a minority as that of a whole tribe as they are nothing but a minority. |
The Yoruba guys on this thread see what nairaland has transformed you to, you can't celebrate success without mentioning names. You guys should show you're far above the reins of giving everything a tribal label. By the way it's confusing how some of you have accepted the label Afonja, we are Yorubas please so get yourself back on track and stop calling yourself Afonja. |
I try to fit into the thinking of "some" Nairalanders and it's just pathetic... Any Yoruba person that has issues if Igbos are truly jews should get him or herself checked because it should be of no concern to you and those saying Yorubas would come and wail on this thread if I may ask why?, because I know being jew does not entail superiority. Abeg guys get matured and stop throwing tantrums because of an issue like this as you guys are not toddlers. God bless. |
Guy forget you tried jare... I been dey dining with my pman I almost chop slap because water fly comot my mouth. Once again nice one Bro. Thumbs up. |
Meel:I get u so well but u know the VC was the one that sold out the school to these governors in the first place by telling them LAUTECH generates enough IGR but in the long run it backfired as the IGR could no longer sustain the operations of the school. So right now even if the school generates IGR to pay probably a month salary, the question is how this would be sustained in the long run because this same thing happened in the first place. |
Desyner:I went through the article, the truth is the workers have been pushed to the wall. the guys in the auditing committee recommended that the owner States pay an offset of 1.7billion to enable workers resume so that the audit can be carried out hoping that the remaining balance would be paid soonest after the auditing but these governors are not giving them the assurance of even paying the offset instead they come out with a propaganda intended at turning the public against the unions. The truth is even if the offset of 1.7billion gets paid, the balance must be paid soonest to avoid recurring strikes. It's the right of the workers to demand for an assurance of full payment and I don't think that's a bad thing to do and more so, it's very ok they agreed with the 1.7billion offset so the governors are the ones putting things on hold now by not paying that. |
Meel:Guy the thing is asking the workers to sacrifice 10months salary would be nothing close to fair, a lot have taken loans that only God knows how they would pay back.... It's not like there is no money but these governors are just been adamant.... No one wants to work without a pay... Even if LAUTECH resume today and salaries remain unpaid how do you think the lecturers would survive with no salaries till 2019!!!..mind you the non payment started bit by bit till the governors made it a norm. Guy I have guys that had to drop out of private universities because of this issue. God bless. |
Desyner:Guy the thing is the workers need an assurance that they won't be made to resume for auditing and not get paid again, because these governors have once made them resume with a promise that salaries would be paid just for the workers to discover it was all deceit.... For we here at Oyo and Osun States, we know how terrible these governors can be and we are not ready to gamble auditing without pay again. My own parents have not been paid for 10 months and the first thing you want them to do is to resume for auditing without an assurance of payment?... |
donatusdesmond:exactly most people saying the auditing should go on know nothing about these governors, they have played this same game of deceit before and the workers are clearly not ready for a re-occurence.... After the auditing what is the assurance these governors would pay... Is it Ajimobi that said if the workers were praying enough and truly God exists, he should have been long dead.... Such heartless being. |
What the government is doing is good riddance to bad rubbish, some of us have both parents working in LAUTECH and I can tell you how hard even feeding is.... U did not pay salary for 10 months and then to feel justified to the public you come up with auditing and say the unions are rejecting auditing.... Like seriously Ajimobi and Aregbesola need to have their brains checked. |
Abeg Yoruba guys on this thread stay clear, no insults or tantrums should be thrown because Igbos being jews should not affect us in anyway, so no need drawing unnecessary attention to ourselves which would lead to insults. Thank you. God bless. # Omoluabilawa |
Obi1kenobi:Leave them ooo... Most times I try to picture a responsible young man or lady commenting with so much hate and immaturity on nairaland, it was then I discovered most of them are people with less brain engaging activities. Even the Ogbomoso they call IDP sef is clearly not... I am so sure most of them have not been there. So making mockery of this kind of thread is a clear sign of immaturity. |
Long Live the King. |
Marvis4real:It's going to be a wonderful experience I promise you... Wish you visit soon. |
Oselu28:Leave them ooo... It's probably his daughter's house sef... Nigerians and pushing people to impress at all cost ehn |
The truth is when we see rich pastors, we complain like Pastors are not meant to be rich. The truth is looking at someone like Pastor Adeboye whom many see as their spiritual father and someone who God has blessed them in some ways through him would have a lot entering into his account daily. So before the destructive criticism, if God calls you also genuinely to become a pastor and a large number of people are being blessed by God through you, the same thing would happen. God bless |

As for the people doubting the man's testimony... I pray God won't teach them a lesson in a hard way. |
RIP comrades... You live on in our hearts and you shall be duely avenged. |
sniperr007:Some people are parochial in their view of everything... It's so frustrating coexisting with such people. |
I see it as a beastly act for a guy to have forceful carnal knowledge of a woman not to talk of a 14 year old girl... For those turning the thread into an Avenue to express tribal bigotry... Have some respect as this is one of the least threads you should do such. God bless. RIP girl and may God comfort the family. |
VanBommel:Amen thanks. Have a blissful day. Thumbs up. |
