So now I'm finding the courage to write my own
What I'm writing here is not a lie,it happened to me just this last month
If any of you want any proofs
I have many proofs to show I'm not lying


I'm 24 years old and I don't even have any skill like that,ran away from home in Ibadan because of too much problems
I came to Lagos upper last year and started doing some jobs,
But last year I got into a factory where I was seeing small money to manage myself
I wanted to save at least 250k before the end of the year of this year but that's where problems started
Early this year my leg got into a machine at this factory,my leg was broken and couldn't work
I stayed at mum place until I could heal,this was for like two months
During march,my leg was a little bit ok so I went back to this factory to work again
I was saving money and bought an android phone
That's how at my working place my phone and over 30k was stolen around April
I was sad but didn't lose hope and continue to work only that one day I had a dream that I saw someone giving me a small black nylon
Fast forward to last month
My phone was stolen again,the person I gave to help me charge it lost it
This same phone was the Samsung galaxy S5 I begged a nairalander Lexusgs430 to buy for 15k which Lexusgs430 later gave me for free
It was the same week I lost the phone,this unfortunate incident happened to me
I began thinking again about how to get another phone
So on August on Friday,because I was on night shift,I was sleepy and wanted to rest a little,I didn't know that my hand was at a machine
As they on the machine,my finger got cut
I lost the finger next to my big thumb on my left hand
I was so depressed and sad
At the factory they didn't want to help
So after going to the hospital,they told me that I will need 100k for refraction of my finger because it has almost cut off
The 100k I got and sent my.brother to retrieve for me
Can you believe my own blood brother ran away with the 100k I wanted to use for surgery,and this my brother knew what I was going through
I had to borrow money for the surgery
After the surgery,I'm at home now healing and thinking about my future
All im thinking about now is to find a way to find a job to pay back my 100k naira debt
It was even someone at my working place that followed me to gbagada general hospital
I'm tired of my life now self
All im looking for now is someone who can help me with a job
The strange thing is this
I had a dream of someone giving me a small black nylon,I just didn't make anything of it
Can u people believe that after I got back from hospital the day this incident happen
Then one of the workers at the factory gave me a black nylon
To my surprise,it was my finger in this nylon
This same small black nylon,I had seen in my dreams days past

So...how come the thing keeps increasing?

Well, it will keep increasing in the short run if the supply doesn't increase from the CBN and that in itself depends on increasing our Foreign earnings through crude sales, foreign remittance and attracting investment etc. The demand right now is high though it will reduce also with time - we all demand dollar to majorly outsource internationally things that can be done locally. Remember, there was a time where every young and technologically exposed Nigerian was buying almost everything on foreign e-commerce sites, items that are available in the local market, this put unnecessary demand on the dollar. The Elite and our import dependent industries are the worst culprits.

Until we are ready to explore, exploit and market Nigeria, we will not make gaint strides. However, be sure that giving the BDCs highly subsided dollars which they end up selling at the black market rate is not the way to go.

scrapping BDC is the best decision CBN has made in recent times

To get your PTA/BTA, U submit your documentation which is then sent to the bank headoffice electronically , who then review and if requirements are met , sent to CBN who then disburse funds to the bank , that is how the process works for all banks, most times people complain of not getting it on time, thats because 1 too many applicants, 2 your details are not correctly filled and the guy reviewing just get tired and moved to others that dont have issues

BDC people are the ones that makes it looks like our life depends on dollars, it doesnt and shouldnt , even now if u take PTA and later cancel your flight, they know u are taking fx to sell to BDC, U will be blacklisted cos they now check flight of people taking PTA

Many Nigerians need to be educated on certain actions of economic policies such that you walk them through the process involved, checks and balances. Ignorance is a big disease and much more dangerous is our teeming population of uneducated graduates - many of them are only able to read and write but incapable of critical thinking.

I wonder how many country in the world where you will find people hawking currencies like Akara and bread, the way we do here. The BDCs have outlived their relevance to the growth of the Nigerian economy, they were creations of nepotic government to provide cheap but astronomical avenue to profit at the expense of million other Nigerians.

Interesting is the ridiculous article of the opening post of this thread, worst still it was promoted by one of the leading online tabloids - probably all in a bit to rubbish the government. The unfortunate damage is the number of people who will find this credible item upon which the evaluate the government actions on the BDCs.

Until Nigeria and Nigerians look inward to meet through local integration of material components for production and servicing human utility, we will never fully escape this Dollarised economy.

You need to clarify what your do in the Accounts Dept... Are you an auditor, an accounting officer, bookkeeper, accounting clerk etc? Some roles in the accounting department might be in Noc category A or B or C.

Watch out for occupation in NOC C, you might not be ineligible.

I can't easily dismiss the offer letter but it looked very pedestrian and suspicious.

As per your passport renewal, better take your destiny in your own hand and visit the immigration Office, all you need to do there is to capture your data on your appointment date, it barely takes more than 2 hours. The next time you will visit them is to pick up your ready passport, another maximum of 2hrs if everything sail smoothly. Missing from your desk for a combined time of say 4hrs in a period of say 1 month will not make them sack you except you are bad at your job and not appreciated.

This is my first time of hearing that a married woman must get a consent letter from her husband. So that is part of the requirement for Tourist visa.

Please i need advice on the above. I used to be married and now separated from my husband for more than 3 years. I also applied for a divorce since 2019 which is still on process. They won't capture you until you produce court document of separation/divorce from your husband. It is a seriously messed up situation for separated women. Yes, there is a court ruling nullifying consent letter from Husband as a requirement - but they choose to play deaf to that ruling ( they still process it still if you are strong willed or ready to pay the errand immigration boys) and will rather frustrate women especially when it is DIY.

Since you are not legally divorced yet, maybe (ASK Others ooo) you should use married as your marital status especially if you can get a copy of your husband valid passport. A lot might be tied to that court proceeding on your divorce when it comes to travelling and its document, please try to expedite the process with all you have.

Wife has expired passport in her maiden name, so renewal/change of name due to marriage.
Husband has expired passport in his old compound name (surname - KING; he did the passport before he married) , and wants new passport in his last name which the wife and children use( surname - KINGSTER). Marriage certificate, NIN, Driver's License are all in KINGSTER, He has sworn affidavit and newspaper publication for change of name, and likewise the wife.

I don't know how those documents are not enough to capture the wife ooooo until the man does a valid passport. We were giving lectures and stories of how women run away with the kids and all sort. I tire oooo

Bros, It was serious war this morning, and they appear (at the Servicom Unit, Ikoyi) to be sincere and not trying to mislead or frustrate us. They insisted that we must produce the Datapage of the Husband Passport, a valid Passport at that, before they present the wife for capturing.

I thought it was a joke sort of and called their customer care line which they picked at Abuja, after so many back and forth in a 25-minute call; the summary was that she has to provide a valid husband's passport datapage, I imagined the kind of frustration women with sufferhead husbands go suffer. I don't know what applies generally, maybe it a new requirement, I even requested that they update the information on their website to capture that as a required document, so they don't waste people's precious time.

Thank bros. We are making arrangement for the husband to go to Abuja to do data correction on his passport, that one sef the officer is saying make we bring 200k.
