Guys, please can I still use this ruptured battery? It ruptured while I was trying to change the screen on a kiddies tab. It gave off some gases and odour the moment it ruptured but didn't swell.

Is it still safe to use and repeated charge without risking an explosion. The tab is for my nephew.

Interesting read. I must commend your determination to get most item on your wish list for the TV. Buying a used TV for a vendor is a big no for me sha. I pray you you get justified for the bargain in retrospect

The guy really need to do a lot of research about phones and their brands in China to start with cos of the market power... Now on the x5 does that mean Nokia will reduce the quality of the phone cos it is meant for China market.. Do you think they don't value their quality control or they don't have standard unlike most of the product that is produced for Nigeria market..... Anyways I am enjoying my x5...its a beauty to behold

Nokia will not deliberately compromise on quality regardless of the market, worst case you will have the minimum value money will get.

So I asked a friend whose uncle works for Nokia as an executive marketer about the surprising price difference between the x5 and the 5.1 plus and here's what his uncle told him PS: if u think it has anything to do with the earpiece or extra LTE bands then you're very mistaken
As we all know, the x5 was originally meant for China as it doesn't come with a pure Android one os like the 5.1 plus which was meant for global use, those that were talking about complaints being more from x5 users were very correct cuz the update wasn't originally meant for the phone, it just got added as a last minute attempt to reach the multitude as many people like bargains and China has more people than most places in the world , so they didn't want them to feel discouraged and left behind, ultimately the x5 will experience more bugs than the 5.1 plus on an average scale and future updates might not necessarily solve most of those problems so he was told. Secondly, the 5.1 plus is expected to last longer than the x5 due to unspecified upgrades to the 5.1 plus before official announcement ... He said he's waiting to see an x5 user who would use the phone for more than a year and a half without countless issues. Thirdly, the warranty also plays a huge part too in the price difference

You might be right on the bug experienced by some on their X5 or X6. I don't really understand how that works. I haven't experienced anything of such.

Now I laughed on the durability part, you said he suggested X6 and X5 will have countless issues... Isn't that laughable to you and you feel it is logical that Nokia will produce the model with inferior materials that won't stand the test of time and introduce it to the China market where the company is pushing to regain significant market share by earning it.

Don't you know that those that bought the X5 or X6 in China to use in China enjoy warranty on the product.

Then, just incase you don't know, almost all the major player in the mobile industry have the price of their product significantly cheaper in China than other countries of the world. The increase in price across the global market is as a result several factors ranging from production, labour, transportation, licensing, storage, marketing, storage, distribution, taxes, promotions, competitions etc

Only Airtel and Ntel 4g works for now in Nigeria and some reported Glo 4g too in some locations . Personally I didn't allocate any supported 4g sim to my phone

Bro, the ear piece addon does not help your narrative. It shows you never really dig deep into the facts before buying.
The 6.1plus for International Market was packed with the manuals, charger, cable, earpiece, sim tray ejector and the phone itself. Note: the earpiece is even the regular earpiece that shipped with the Nokia 1. There is nothing special about that earpiece.

The X6 for the Chinese Market shipped with the above, the exemption is the earpiece was substituted for the silicon case which is even a more functional accessory for instant use.

My X6 from China flashed with global rom is Nokia 6.1 plus. Even buyers from North America with better purchasing power took advantage of this lopsided market price.

Never for one day has my phone struggled with the Android One experience.

I have never experienced a bug after update... Can't tell y the bug is selective.

This is y I brought this phone, prompt updates and promised support

Why you sef go buy rubbish brand 'samsong', compass sef small for the sensor the phone no get now.

Bros, you see that experience above is exactly what I have with my X6. Purely same.
Equally as confused as you when I was about buying the phone. But I was clear later I want the X6 because of the shorter notch, 6gb variant and white color. These 3 settled it bcus I have a little more money to spend.

The X6 is marginally better not considerably better.
One thing also I heard there is no molded Google camera for the X5.

So let your budget decide. I intend to use this phone for 5 years Issa Allah.

At first thought, the card might be fake or badly partitioned. But try on another device first.

That's my experience bro. I'm not talking about a big dent on the screen but scratches that are noticeable when screen light is out and angles bent. Maybe u should check yours again if is without temper glass.

No mind the scratch test guyz.. Can you imagine the Sunday after the Friday I got this phone, I forgot it in my pocket in church with my house keys, and there was a noticeable scratch on the screen afterwards. The keys are not even the regular jagged keys.
After that, I was careful with what comes in contact with the phone, yet different little scratches were obvious on the screen. Seem Nokia is not really Nokia anymore.

Yet still, when I do a comparative cost analysis to value, I will give this phone 91 out of 100. Very fluid and no lag at all.

I didn't add to the review, this is a phone u should have ur temper glass on from unwrapping, it picks scratches easily even without coming in contact with hard objects.

Okay lemme write a short review of this phone Nokia X6, 6gb ram 64 gb rom. I have had this phone for 18days now. I will rate different aspect of the phone on a scale of 5. Note, this review is based on my user experience and bias.

Cosmetic ~ 4.8
From unboxing the phone, you will instantly fall in love with the nice glossy glass finish. All buttons are exactly where you want them and feel very nice on click.
Screen ~ 3.6
The IPS Lcd screen of the phone is very captivating, exact color bend. However, the screen touch is not very responsive on double tap to wake up the phone an opposite experience to the experience I had while using the Nokia lumia 930 which was very responsive and sensitive. I particularly love to use the double tap to wake up my phone, otherwise I would have rated the screen a 4.3
Camera ~ 4
The pictures are good enough to capture moments exactly as they unravel. Good image stabiliser too on video recording.
Battery ~ 4.1
A full charge gives approximately 8 hours screen on time on moderate use and about 5 hours on heavy use. On standby, I'm sure the phone can last 2 days on light usage.
User interface and rendering ~ 4.4
Pure android one expérience, no unnecessary apps and ads. Highly optimised.
Audio ~ 4.8
Not exactly loud speaker for both calls and media but just precise quality for my listening.
Connectivity ~ 4.9
The network signal reception is very good, even while in the elevator you are all connected. Downside though is the X6 isn't compatible with Mtn and other network 4g in Nigeria. Made me waste the massive 4.5 gb awoof data Mtn gave me on sim upgrade though the blame I returned back to Mtn. Data bonus should not come with such cavaet.

Same here too... Upgraded yesterday. But few improvements noticed too... Double tap to wake phone more responsive than on oreo, better camera, better ram management and interface.

Hey guy, please i need help on how to install gcam on x6. I have downloaded 2 gcam apk, but once i click the install icon nothing happens. I guess it has something to do with giving permission to install from unknown source but issue it i can't find that "install app from unknown sources" from the security settings. Help please.
