It is foolhardy to think cult groups don't have such robust resources to track/trace people on the Internet. Many of them have found their way into Nigeria Security Networks and Government corridors. You can't even feel safe outside Nigeria sef, they can contract exécution. No one is exactly anonymous on the Internet, it depends on who is looking.

Please how many passports is my guarantor supposed to present?

I have been at NIS office since morning, saw my file on the table in the morning and the interviewer promised to call me soon. Only for me to go back there, and my file was missing. We spent the last 3hrs ransacking the whole office to find my file. They finally found it. Only for me to find out during the interview stage that I cannot be captured today cos my guarantor's form has only one passport. The hell.! On that same form the guarantor was asked to present only one passport.!

These guys are so good at frustrating somebody. I spent the entire day at NIS office to achieve nothing! I hate this system! �

Shey you see, the system doesn't like you because you want to toll a path that will deny them hundreds of thousands daily, so you have to be extra prepared for them such that they won't find any fault in you. Like you go there with at least a copy extra of everything should in case they mess up your file though it is not that hard sha.

Truly, there’s no 32pages passport in Alausa as at today that I went there. Most of those who are privy to the information of non-availability of 32pages passport opted for 64pages 5years passport. So, if you need your passport urgently just apply for the 64pages 5years passport do not waste time waiting for 32pages passport because you don’t know how soon it will be available. My advise.

I don't know how true that claim of no 32pages 5years is but I remember vividly that was the same story those errand boy immigration officers were telling me when I wanted to do mine last year; advocating I opt for the 64pages one. I believe it is a marketing gimmick of some sort to fleece unsuspecting people of more money.

She has submitted, the supervisor initially agreed to write the letter and later said he can’t write it as his job as at stake. She had to submit all of the above except a reference and included a JD given by HR

This email was sent after HR noticed that supervisors were issuing references to staff when HR refused them references.

She has 5 more days to submit because of this issue. I told her to add emails from her bosses detailing her job duty , like two emails per month from the last 12 months. The office refused to write reference or even give bank statement reference to her , they said it’s against their policy

There shouldn't be much issues here... Let her provide them with;
1.employment letter,
2. payslips,
3. her work ID Card or complimentary card,
4. get a colleague preferably a senior colleague or direct line manager to write her a work reference on a plain sheet of paper(scan the colleague's Idcard/complimentary card at the bottom/top corner ). THIS IS ABOUT THE MOST IMPORTANT, IT NEEDS TO CAREFULLY DETAIL HER WORK DESCRIPTION IN LINE WITH NOC 2171. No need for any letterhead. Carefully address it to IRCC.

My simple review of the Panasonic TX-47AS740B after about 1 week use...

Everything works....

Screen Quality.....9/10....screen also has an auto dimming feature...meaning it adjusts itself to the light in the enviroment.....screen is crisp, clear and has wide viewing angles....I can hardly notice any difference in screen quality between it and my 14 inch 1080p laptop....

Screen mirroring works perfectly....I mirrored a 4gig 1080p movie (Gods of Egypt) via my Samsung a20 to the TV....not a single blur or skip...mirroring distance works from as far as 30 feet away from the TV....no reduction in video nor image quality at all....

Wireless and bluetooth also work perfectly....works perfectly as well....The inbuilt apps in the TV work perfectly.....Netflix and YouTube work perfectly....the tv browser also works well....na those ones concern me ...i have not had the interest or time to test other apps ...

Power....with my current backlight settings, the TV consumes 32.5 watts when playing movies via USB, and 37.8 watts while using wifi or screen mirroring....I cant wish for better power management

Connections....the TV has one USB 3.0 por which can be used for recording TV programmes to an external drive..i tested it a bit and it works...2 USB
2.0 ports for normal USB content play and 3 HDMI ports...i tested all and they work ....

Camera.....You wont even know the TV has a camera until you open the video cam app inbuilt into the TV...then the camera slides up out of the top of the TV...once the video can app is closed, the camera automatically retracts itself back into the body of the TV...th camera is clear enough...but it could be better sha ....Though I have no complaints sha

There is a fully functional micro-sd slot ...I put a 64 gig micro ad card in it and it now serves as the TV's memory for recording programmes...

I also has free-TV....as in you can just get a dish connected to the TV and watch some nice channels for free....I have not tested that sha...I have no interest in free channels

The Ethernet port also works for wired internet connection....I took the TV to my office to test that

The TV has two 10-watt speakers which sound quite nice....

There are some other connection ports that the TV has that i have no need for...dem say one na SCART or somtin...e no consyn me ......thank God e dey sha in case I need them...

The TV runs the Panasonic Viera operating system....once the TV is switched on, it takes barely two seconds to boot and be ready for use ....My one terabyte hard drive connected to the USB 2.0 port barely took 3 seconds to fully load up...

On the whole, The TV is a very good buy and if you are practical like me, and not carried away by shady terms like 4k, UHD, etc, and a 47-inch screen is ok for you, you cant go wrong with this TV...

Did you just paid to an anonymous person at their office or to an officer of the Nigeria Immigration Service who was probably referred by someone you know?
Hope you know that touts masquerading as officials of NIS are within their office claiming they can help you fast track passport application within 48hrs.
If you paid to one of their officers, simply call him to finish his job buh if you had paid to a tout well kiss your money goodbye and start afresh but this time DO IT YOURSELF. Its very simple, you will get it in 2 weeks

You can only renew your passport 6months to the expiration period of the current one, so the earliest you can begin the process is August.
Your kids will be registered separately as minors and you will be their guarantor afterall the state assumes that children can't abscond without their parent's consent.

Ikoyi PO Lagos Office and I also believe their Abuja Office too, it is fast and reliable as at the time of reporting. The reform in NIS is actively in motion there. Do it yourself, simply follow all the steps outlined in the testimonies of successful applicants here.

It is really, I went for my Interview/capturing on Friday... and I was attended well my the servicom lady, maybe because twitter directed me straight to the PROs office.
On getting to the PRO’s office she summoned for the lady at the servicom who then attended to me.
But you see those people at the long room. MAD O!!!
No one wanted to attend to me, they were all jumping around carrying one white file or the other, I almost cried, when I was going to raise my voice, one of the officer over the counter (a lady) started shouting too, “you better calm down, sheybi you decided to do it on your own, ehen, better calm down, because you haven’t even seen anything, yen yen yen”

Then in the capturing room, they kept on jumping the line and slotting people in, it was so annoying. They even had VIPs.

Sorry about the not too cool experience, the lady described must be one of the two chubby ladies towards the last point in the long room heading for the capture room. The day I did mine, their displeasure was obviously shown on their faces.

Take consolation in the fact that it is done regardless and you haven't supported the decay in the system. Should more people take that bold step to DIY the system will eventually adjust itself to accommodate the changes and reform. I'm so sure you also met two or more officials of the NIS that also helped to direct you kindly aside the admirable Servicom lady.

Encourage more people to DIY still it might be rough and slow but it a burden we must bear to reset a lot of our government parastatals, agencies and ministries and encourage the reforms happening there.

Yeah, the Official even minded their business, none was really concerned if I was a DIY applicant. Many chose to help and direct me too. If this new NIS continues at Ikoyi PO then the reform we have all craved is already in motion albeit picture motions better than nothing.

I went in 9:03am came out 11:14am. I didn't spend a dime extra differebt from making photocopies of 6pages at 50naira each and the notary stamp of 500naira.

Special note to the fair servicom lady, she was immense and detailed, took pride in helping people out, gave me the branded NIS file which helped accelerate the process. I'm saying too much already... I will load it later, gat to keep hands busy at work now..

I just took courage to DIY today, submitted my application, pay 25.5k in Gtbank, payment was confirmed within 3minutes and scheduled for capturing on the 7th January.

Between all NIS officers are claiming they can't deliver 32pages in reasonable time, not sure the reason for this. Somehow that scares me that the booklet might be scarce.
