Happy New Year peep. In d past year, we all have witnessed how ridiculous amount charged by non professionals and newbies have had negative impact on us the professionals and the Website Design & Development Profession. Personally on several occassions, I have been seen as a person who charge exorbitantly or "just to expensive" with clients siting exampls of other website designer who charge just 10-25k for a website (but we all know what they get at d end-frustration). This actually made me loose some jobs or in some cases, I've had to just consider and do jobs at give away price. But on a particular occassion, I literally walked away due to the clients manner of approach. If we intend to have good stories to tell at the end of 2013, then, we all must agree to charge a basic/standard fee of not less than 50k for a 5 page website. Cos if we charge less, how much will your service charge be? I charge 20k for yearly hosting and domain name. I believe we want to live above average life. Lemme hold it here for now. |

Happy New Year peep. I have this question in mind, How much do put in your wallet for daily spending? I not referring to when you intend to go for shopping as it wld vary depending on what u shopping for. How much wld u be left wif in your wallet that wld make you feel uncomfortable and dash off to d ATM? Lets know if ur are a student, corper or working class or retiriee. Plus at what point do you stop carrying money along in wallet (rather ghana must go bags like our polithiefcians and legislathieves)? |
cash22: This year is better, the more web projects you execute the more your portfolio grows, the more testimonies of satisfied clients, the more jobs you get. the more you grow.Am a witnessDid u start like me, proposal distribution and follow up? How do u source for jobs as in the initial ones and subsequently? It cld really really be frustrating. |

Well first, I thank God for d year. Actually, I left my N40k/mnth job to face web stuff. As soon as I got back to base from training (HTML5/CSS3), I did my website and upgraded a friends website, b4 I knew it I got a job of 200k, I was so happy although ish came up, they said they want 2 in 1 and dat 50k bal wld b paid wen d second is completed, 4 over 4mnths now they are yet to provide any info 4 d second website. The frustrations dat follows proposal follow up is enough 4anyone to consider a change of career, not to mention those 10k website people. Nevertheless, I was able to tru ruggedness stay on some clients neck to get job and anoda frustrating follow up for balance. Not funny. Not that easy peep. |
Very soon thhey will say they are looking to possibly find Jesus' DNA inside. |
