Please has anyone been able to check their admission status or PostJAMB screening score for UNILORIN? I have been checking for my niece and all I see is "You have not yet been recommended for admission. Check back later."

Someone should explain more and better to me, please.

What a stupid idea. Ask anyone who has been to prison their experience. I say this because that is what awaits you when you start beating people up, even people that owe you.

If you were in the US, I would say you go to a small claims court and file a claim against him. I think the maximum claim you can file against someone is about $5,000, it could be more. You do not need a lawyer to do this. You just go down to the small claims court and they'll give you a form to fill out. Once you are done, pay the administrative court fees which should not be more than $30 - $50. The court will send him a notice in the mail and give him a date to appear in court and defend himself. You will have to be there as well. I will advice you bring all evidence showing how he owes, etc. If you don't have proper documentation showing how the transaction took place, you will loose. However, if you can proive beyond reasonable doubt that he owes you, the court will award a judgement in your favour + court fees. If he fails to show up at court on the date he was told to appear, a judgement will automatically be awarded in your favour. Typically, the court will work out a payment plan with him on how to pay you back in case he does not have the lump sum to pay all at once.
You don't have to be insultive to make a good point like this. I have thought of all you wrote here and the issue is in the payment plan. This is why I have not filed a complaint against him with the Interpol. But if after the time I gave him elapses and he has not done the needful, we will go the legal way.

And you are actually considering it too. You people are just too animalistic for words. I will keep saying that every Nigerian is a potential murderer. What if someone dies in the process of you beating up his family members?
Of course I am not planning to go beat up the younger brother. I was thinking of talking to a lawyer to know the best way to approach this. Why would I go beat up or send people to beat up an innocent guy? The most I thought of was arresting the guy if my lawyer says it's possible and within the law.

Hmmmm...Never thought of this o. I actually know his younger brother and can get how to see him. But from what I heard, he doesn't really care about this younger brother. I might just try that with the hope he won't prefer to lose his younger brother for money. Thanks plenty.

I did a job for someone in the US and gave a friend's US account to receive the money with the plan of opening a domiciliary account here and asking him to transfer the money to it. Over time, the money got to some thousands of dollars with him. I eventually opened the account and sent the details to him so he could help me transfer it. He didn't respond and when I called him he didn't answer the call. I called him several times after that, no response. I sent mails to him, no response. I tried to contact him on Facebook and found out he had deactivated his account. It's been like 6 weeks now and the only response to all the messages I sent to him is that even if I report the matter to the police, there is nothing they can do because it is a civil case and he will go ahead to declare bankruptcy and all he owns in the US is a TV which costs about $300.

I have all necessary details about him but I need to know the right way to go about this. I can push it to a level where he will face some charges due to his travel and work history in the US and may even lose so much but that may not eventually bring back my money.

Please, dear people, what do you suggest I do?

Breast milk alone is not adequate for a 1 year old.. that's why she's not walking.. she's malnourished..
You need to be firm woman...
STOP breast feeding that baby... and feed her, after hunger has dealt with her she will start taking food...
Your child will suffer from failure to achieve developmental milestones if you dont give her food..
Lol @ she's malnourished. My friend's baby eats everything called food and is yet to walk at 14 months. Is he over-nourished? I've left her with my niece few times when I had to go for business meetings and it's the same story. What I want to know is other foods I can try. Abi I should bring her to you for a day? Maybe you can help me perform the magic.

She just turned one on Saturday. And how do I not pamper a baby who is just a year and few days old? If I succeed in forcing food into her mouth, will I force her to swallow it too? And I don't know how to do the traditional force feeding with pap or cereal. Please if you know what I can do to make her swallow the foods that go into her mouth, tell me please.
HealthRe: My Baby Takes Only Breastmilk by solidhomes(op): 4:12pm On Mar 24, 2015
adanduka:
Madam, breastfeeding does not improve baby steps. Weaning is necessary for your baby to develop and for you to save your breast additional gravitational pull. Your baby needs other foods to get the needed nutrients which breast milk at this age will not give her.
You want the best for your child and I am sure you are trying. Just continue cos that's what mothers do- persevere.
You've tried most fruits, just continue to make them available even if she handles a bite per meal.
For solids, have you tried soft EBA with ogbono/okro soup?
Kids generally improve on their appetites as they grow older.
Cheers!
Thanks, ma'am. I've tried eba and ogbono soup too. Like you said, I'll keep trying and pray one day I stumble on something she can't resist eating.

Stop breastfeeding her. Just stop.
Sometimes you have to force kids to eat. Yellow pap with Nan and other solid foods like rice and eba will do.
Feeding 1 year kids pap is easy. Hold them like a baby and firmly restrain their hands and legs and give the pap.
Keep trying different fruits, there must be some she likes.
She is not walking well yet so I don't want to stop breastfeeding now. I try to feed her pap that way but she spits it out. She can only take it in the traditional way of force feeding babies. Please do you know any fruits I can try again? I've done banana, mango, mashed apple, cooked carrot, grapes and oranges. She used to take pineapple with her dad but not again. She eats few grains of rice and like 4 strings of noodles.

U have to force her to eat

No breastmilk

I force feed her with cereal or pap and milk when I get someone who can. I don't know how to do it myself. There is a grandma in my house who helps but my baby kicks her strongly that I feel bad asking her to do it again.
HealthMy Baby Takes Only Breastmilk by solidhomes(op): 10:08am On Mar 24, 2015
Please mothers in the house I need your help. I have a one year old baby who has practically lived on breastmilk till now. I did the 6 months exclusive for her and didn't give her water even. At 6 months, I bought Aptamil for her which she didn't take. I was told to try other formula for her and cereals too and I began buying all sorts which she also did not take. There is no cereal/formula I know and have heard about which I have not bought for her. I also started giving her home-made foods, yet no way. I did the mixed pap and grinded soya beans mixed with crayfish, fish, and groundnut, yet the story is same. The most she will do is take a spoon and that will be all. When she turned one, I bought Milo and NAN 123 for her, she refused it. I tried imported Ovaltine and Bournvita too, story is same. She won't even take biscuits or juice. I have tried the Gerber and Cow and Gate stuffs, no way there too. I am very worried and cry whenever I see her very flat tummy. The ironic thing is she is very strong and smart. The day I saw her do the 'shoki' dance when a neighbour was singing, I was shocked. Please what can I do to make her eat? I give her Wellkid Multivitamin.

uchetobi: @solid homes, buy groceries and cereals so you can be a bit independent of the cooking at your hosts house. Pls dont starve the baby. If you have friends in the US, you can go visit them and come back because hosting a visitor for so long may be tiring on your host, especially since you people are not family and also their financial standing may not b so great. If you cant then support them by doing general cooking twice a week or pitching in with general groceries or so
Thanks, sis. I'm seriously planning how to sanely spend the remaining long months. When are you leaving Naija and where is your destination?

toslad: @ Solidhomes! Where u are can't be as cold as where I am! Hubby was to return after 2 weeks if u see as I cried like a baby cos of boredom! Lol.

I feel @ about 30 weeks u shd still be able to fly intra country! If you have the funds, u may travel to some other states for the time being to return to ur hosts later. Alternatively, google a central location and lodge in a hotel for some days to get ur sanity!

Pele o! Me na cold wan kill me for hia.
Toslad, you are very right. I hear Houston is not as cold as other parts of the US.

Your suggestion about flying intra country is a good one. I'll discuss this with my hubby. Thank God he is just going to leave on Tuesday and he can also see what his people are doing.

The reason we are here in the first place is because they insisted it's not wise for me to stay alone during pregnancy. But it even feels more alone here because it is all man for himself. Imagine my hosts saying I am lazy for feeling dizzy when at 3:30pm I had not eaten or drank even water for the day.

I'll discuss possible alternatives with my hubby. But for real, I don't mind going to stay in the hotel after my doctor's appointment on Thursday; at least to restore my body and mind.
