I think am missing something, with my daarsat decoder and 4.4m, i still get red on the 11449 h 27500 S2, QPSK,
Or my timing is always bad, since they are not stable,

I dont know there's some that did not happy that HITHIEF(HITV) will not be able to milk us again,i could remember when they started in early 2007 their subscribtion is #2000 naira when there is no epl immediatly they got d epl in august 2007/may 2008 is #3000 for about a mouth later its increases to #4000 because there's lots of subscribers & later #6000 but now they wanted to increace d price to #8000 start from august this year but God didn't allowed that to happen.they are thief asking all viewcentres to pay #15000 per month & they are chasing them with mopo.who is talking about our own?our own my foot,DSTV has been in nigeria more than ten years b/4 hithief & there's no chasing & unnecessary increasement within 2007/2010 i bet you if hithief still in regime for the next three years guys get ready for #12000 for subscribtion fees.to me i support quantity with quality.

So u too sabi the statistic, Htfy is not proudly niger, imagin N6k for 10 useless channels, back then apart from saturdays/sundays, nothing to watch for htfy, 'cos i prfer ait, channels, tvc to thier rubbish movies,
Dsty 9k was consistent over a long period with good content, even without the epl, u still get good content for the 9k, N9k ACN, WCup, nigeria league, SA league, kenya league, brazilian league, budsleaga, seria a, international matches, African champ league, good studio with professional commentators and picture quality, do u see the supersport studio during the wcup, hmmm, i love it, but htfy, they will be discussing about the person that supplied them shirt and tie for that match, about their individual club they supported, oh no, thank God, let them go back to the drawing board and plan again, let see if they will survive with epl,

As at 7.30 pm today I got both TPs of Abudhabi sport with my motorised 2.6m dish,the signal was 52\53%,at the same position my jsc sport 1-10 were all up and running. To be confortable u need 3m dish

At about the same time i got both tps on my 3m dish, the signal was 83% on daarsat decoder

I tried the 11449H27500 tp around 8.30pm yesterday, no show, is their any other tp to be used?

Try to strike a balance by lowering your dish while you keep an eye on your signal strength between JCS and Abu Dhabi. Alternatively, you may decide to install another LNB for 7.2 deg west along with the one for 7.0 deg west.

I can remember my comments about HITV when they started out,
No company succeeds as opposition company just as no party has succeed as opposition party.
You build a company to compete not to oppose! I even prefer Mytv to Hitv with their EPL.
All Mr Subair wanted to do was to disgrace Dstv, in doing this he left his constituency which happens to be his subscribers.
He gave the money he was suppose to use in building a virile company to the EPL organizers.
Dstv survived without the EPL, lets see Hitv do it too. This might be a blessing in disguise for Hitv, with the pressure of the EPL off their shoulders, they can now build a DTH company that we will all be proud of, even without EPL.

Htfy made a deposit of $40m of its bid price of $115m…but as they could not provide the balance on the due date or guarantee in paying the balance, dsty were called and promptly wrote a cheque of $100m and the deal was signed…
Do you know the sad story for Htfy? The $40m bid deposit is gone…it has been forfeited to owners of epl right…So how will Htfy pay back that $40m loan without epl? Who will subscribe to htfy again…I hope they are not going down to their grace early ooo

you are right, but i want you to know something, when Dstv clock 4 years do you know Dstv then? and they dont have good stations then and there station is not up to 32. but Hitv just clock 4 years and we are complaining. i tell you most of this Dstv station are FTA station.

Let me tell you that competition is not by force but by choice…u need to read economics very well…also know what we called substitute value…so you want me to wait till the next ten year to enjoy good content from HITV? Men wake up…in this fast growing technology era?
Do you know when GLO came out? That was yrs after ECONET & MTN…Glo came with good competitive value…reduction in sim card rate, call rate, per seconds billing… no down time…bros, n pple start rushing to Glo as the savior…that is a good Nigeria company…MTN has no choice than to come to reality of life that Nigerian are not meant to be milked…HITV did not realize that…they have good intention…but bad delivery manner and bad management/planning…
I know a good and vibrant Nigeria cable will still come to compete with DStv with time and they will carry their equipment back to SA…but for now we have no choice…dstv now own the right…
But with FTA, the sky is the limit…enjoy bros…

I love competition, but do it the right way? apart from epl, who will subscribe to hitv? but lot of pple will still hang on to dstv with 2500-4k a month without sport, ask why? Good content delivery,

It was in the news last year that HITV won the rights to air EPL for the next 3 years. If DSTV is now saying they have the rights, it means HITV could not pay for the rights it won. Besides, there is no way the EPL will award the rights to the two DTH. A week ago, DSTV were also in the news telling Africa how they plan to show EPL in HD excluding Nigeria, and today they have come to say they have the right to air EPL in Nigeria, it clearly shows HITV has reneged in payment for the earlier EPL rights it won. My own assumptions though.

No assumption, na fact!, DSTV will never try put such kind of thing on thier site if its not true, do u know the legal implication of such thing? and our mr Subaiaru of Hitv is a lawyer or was a lawyer turned bizman, he will fight them hard, but now apa ti jabo, and the court case is still pending, am so so sorry for hithief, good concept, bad management/planning,

Apart from EPL nothing for hithief, and without epl, they are gunner like other cable tv that came, saw and never conquer, u spent a lot of money on winning epl right through bank loan without good content to consumers, u'll definately loose,

To drive home my point, I would like you to trace the direction in which the lnb arm is pointing using a compass.I bet you shall come up with a value between 180 degrees and 187 degrees. Please perform this simple experiment so as to put this matter to rest.

@blexxonmak, i understanding ur point, but it seem the dish is facing North-West, try to check the pics on page 2 for clearity.
What i also want most people tracking this bird to know is not to limit the tracking to east in tracking W3a, that's why most people find it difficult in locating the stubbor bird. Try to rotate the dish and try all posible angle to accomplisg ur goal, in FTA anything is possible - i've learnt.

Let us not create confusion here, because there is no new W3A signal in the west.
Remember we all know this satellite is a high altitude satellite, so your dish is facing west and you are getting it.
Have you considered the elevation of your dish with that facing the satellite directly and compare?
The difference may not be pronounced but I tell you can not get this with other satellite with lower elevation from your end.
I hope you can understand from the illustration bellow, both dishes facing opposite direction, but receiving same signal, just because of the position of the satellite above them.

Ah, that case? It's taking another tune o, NCC is trying to support HITV that Musical Copyright Society of Nigeria, (MCSN) is not a legal copyright collecting body,
NCC said what they need now is a letter of protest from HITv to stop MCSN from performing illegally,
So make HITV grow, and our poor artist to rotten in poverty,
If Hitv is using the artist work, video musical expecially, then they should be pay biggerly, 'cos Hitv collect subscription biggerly

What's the big deal in this? If you leave in the riverine area, how do you go to school? aren't you going to cross the river to the otherside in other to get to school.
