Dont waste time repairing it..get a tokunbor alternator for your peace of mind..I made same mistake repairing mine but at the end I had no choice other than getting a tokunbor alternator and the money spent on repairs that never worked was more than the cost of a tokunbor alternator

My Benz c 180 99 model is crossing 100 when I accelerate hard on the hill. I have changed the thermostat to 71 degrees and no remedy. I have connected the fan with relay so the fan can pick as soon as the engine starts and still no remedy. Please what do I do? kindly help.

I suspect camshaft sensor..but use computer for better diagnosis

It's a good car but the major problem is getting unconverted one..as you know it's a European Corolla..the unconverted ones are extremely expensive...

the people here refused to capture my friend saying that his license wont be processed if they do..he is planning to pay another drivers license fee

I applied for a driver's license in Lagos, Ikotun office precisely and after several weeks got the temporary license. But to my surprise, my sex was changed to female by the FRSC officer in charge of data. Before the capturing, the mistake was spotted which I asked them to change but they still went ahead with the mistake.
Now am in a fix because after the capturing I was told by the officer that he can't change it again. I want to know if there is anything I can do before the permanent license comes out? Searched FRSC website and there is no mention of such a mistake and how to rectify such.

its desame problem a friend is dealing with..the truth is ur permanent license will never be processed..just pay another fee and recapture

Meanwhile to the issue at hand, depends on how good the conversion was, things that give such conversions away are things like wipers positioned and going the wrong way, gear buttons positioned to the right side, master window controls on the right side, etc.

But some good conversions are difficult to detect unless vin check

Also some models are always rightie, like all them corolla altis, camry premio G and corolla hatchback, no original left hand drive for those ones

diagnosis it..what causes it is camshaft sensor ..and use star transmission oil..that's the right oil for benz transmission

In fact, anything rubber or plastic expires. Only that they don't have exact expiry dates. That's what even the manufacturer cannot tell you so they put the production date and you follow a safe maintenance guideline from say 5yrs to a maximum of 10yrs. Beyond, 10yrs no tire can be guaranteed even if it never touched the ground. Still this doesn't mean it has expired.

You can see a brand new 2009 tire which doesn't look expired, but when you start using it, it detoriates very rapidly within a month.

you can make your point without being abusive..all over the world five to six years is given while Michelin states their tires have a 10 year maximum life span and should be replaced at that point regardless of wear. A 2010 Michelin is still in use in Germany but u cant use even 2015 in nigeria..get your understanding right before coming all out as if we are fighting. Your contact in Germany is not an authority in cars tyres, he just spoke ignorantly (no pun intended). All tyres made of rubber forgive road going vehicle have expiry dates.

what if you are the ignorant one?I can send you a link where second hand tyres and other used things are sold in Germany..when it comes to tyres they lay emphasis on thread of tyres..and the tyres are not for export

I can relate to this..the cars I bought from Germany both has 2010 summer tyres that looks like brandnew..my contact in Germany said that there is no such thing as expiring date for tyres..they only check if the tyres has worn.

swear an affidavit and police extract that as the time of registration u could not access the engine number because of its complex location. That the registration and the documents remain valid.thats all
