Odunayaw: The team didn't even look like they missed a training day
Tht first half was so sleek Are you sure that strike was not a game plan or decoy to confuse the Gabonese? |

Goke7: To be honest I’ve not seen the eagles played such kind of accurate passes in that first half. They did nothing wrong but to score in that first half.
Chelle has finally given Amokachi and his fellow sexy and penetrating passes exponents their desires 😂 For some seconds , I thought they played like Barca. The skill and passes were so accurate at times one touch |

TheSuperNerd: Two Specially Monstrous Showings today
Wilfred Ndidi.... for sometime now, I have criticised his inclusion in the starting lineup and rightly so but today he finally showed why he belongs there. Ndidi shut me up!
He crowned an allround midfield display with a beautiful drive forward after our side put together a very nice vertical playing passing sequence (Bassey header interception ➡️ Moses Simon ➡️ Zaidu ➡️ Iwobi ➡️ Ndidi (who drives forward after shaking off a marker) ➡️ Ejuke.... just lovely passing.
Ndidi was monstrous in nearly all game facets today and at least finally realises that even if he cant shoot as often as we want him to, he can still provide final ball service.
Benjamin Frederick.... Everyone agrees this is one guy who can do no wrong in this team. He has not had a bad game since his debut for the Super Eagles in the Unity Cup.
In duels, he outduelled anyone. In Tackles, he was smoother than anyone (Check out the tackle on Auba in the closing moments of the first half). In Interceptions, he was colossal In Defensive contributions, he was everywhere In Offensive transitions, he drove the ball forward as a master libero and one of such actions brought a moment of sheer brilliance from 20 y/o Benjy Fred.... allow me break it down
He stepped forward from his defensive third centrally and challenged Aubameyang who received a pass with his back to his marker (Fred). He successfully won the duel vs legendary Aubameyang, left him on the turf, drove forward like a Franz Beckanbauer would in full libero flow, skipped past 2 markers and with brilliant pausa feints, directed his drive into the final third right half space where a Hungry Osimhen (who has missed enough chances) was waiting to pounce and redeem himself. And that he did... but all thanks to Benjamin "Beckanbauer" Frederick. A 20 y/o CB Phenomenon.
Brentford acquired has 2 young CB monsters from the 2023 U20 WC... one was Kim Ji-Soo now on loan at Kaiserlautern in the Bundesliga 2. Another was Benjamin Frederick now on loan at FCV Dender in Belgium's Jupiler Pro. Time will be kind to them, if they realise how quickly their Nigerian CB acquisition is stepping up to become Africa's next big thing in the CB role.
Benjamin "Beckanbaeur" Frederick is a world class talent. The finest jewel of the 2023 U20 Class. Make una tell Tosin Adarabioyo say vacancy no dey again for SE. Frederick Benjamin has taken that spot |

DrYa: Chelle has done something in these set of super eagles.. Not only do they win, they now score plenty goals.. I was surprised to see them still pushing to score more after 4 goals.. The SE we used to know will score a goal and relax.. something has changed...
Thanks to all the players and coaching crew for putting smiles in our faces tonight. Today I thought I was watching Barca in green during that first half. Chelle has done something. Iwobi said the players don't only play for Nigeria but for Chelle their Big brother |

I really appreciate and applaud Chelle. He has never been afraid to add talents into his team. First it was Benjamin Frederick, then Tolu Arokodare, then Ola Olusegun, then Akor Adams and now Chidera Ejuke. He knew what he wanted and went for it. |

Odunayaw: JUST IN from Pooja;
National Sports Commission has weighed into the issues as they've cleared all the outstanding of the team before today but the issues at hand is not about the outstanding but special request by the players ahead of the game.
More details It's either these players are playing mind games with Gabon or they are shooting themselves on the foot because even if Nigeria qualifies, majority of these players who boycotted this game may be dropped like it happened to Oliseh and co in 2002 |

QueenJazz: Unpopular opinion here, but I'd say he's more deserving than Olusegun for instance. My memory could be compromised here so correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I can recall him putting up a strong showing at the last AFCON in the group stages before he got injured.
Compare this to Olusegun who was bang average in his first outing. I can't forget his jump before that 4th goal against Benin. The guy ''long" ehhhh. But sincerely I don't see what Chelle sees in that guy. |
