tbaba1234: Refs are not as fit as footballers. Not even close.. They are fit, no doubt but not as fit. You are wwrong Ref are as fit as footballers (standard), they go through similar training. That some aren't fit is an individual thing. some refs die during training especially in developing countries and once you get to the highest grade, fitness is what determines your being badged as a fifa ref. Have you ever been to a ref's training before? Btw, some refs do more than some footballers on the field of play. Lastly, alot of refs were once active players/Athletes etc |

tbaba1234: More Ejide.
Looks more like a ref here than an active player. But refs are as fit as football players too. They do almost the same warmup and training. |

You saw them crying as if they would have won na. But the atmosphere was like that of NBA. filled to the brim. Africa is getting more interested in basketball. seyi70: Hell no, they dare not say that, they got their ass kicked on home soil despite our poor free-throw shooting |
Sports › Re: Nigeria Basketball Thread! by somehow: 10:57pm On Aug 18, 2019 |
I am happy for them and for us. isaiah9: I get your point and they'll surely work on those before the Olympic. Just imagine with all those free throws miss we still won. Chaiii |
Sports › Re: Nigeria Basketball Thread! by somehow: 10:26pm On Aug 18, 2019 |
I already did that but not interested in letting these obvious issues slide. All the same, we beat Senegal again which is sweet to the ear. We have played against better pressure before, so wouldn't take pressure as an excuse. This issue has been on from the start, just imagine doing at least 35% of the 3PTA and 75% of the FTA, Senegal for humble. Now dem go dey say we won by luck due to the closeness. isaiah9: why not praise them first. Do you know the amount of pressure in that arena? Even the best teams in the world (USA and Australia) didn't beat us black and blue. |
Sports › Re: Nigeria Basketball Thread! by somehow: 10:23pm On Aug 18, 2019 |
Na, most of the regulars here already noticed this. They did well in the semi final game with the 3pts (9) was scored but the FT was still bad. So it had nothing to do with pressure. All the same, I am happy for us. Also happy that we have alot of tall players this time around. Addme: The pressure coupled with being in the final and seeing lot of opposing fans got to the girls. So many 3 and 2 pointer misses. This is their lowest points in this tournament and it's understandable. |
Sports › Re: Nigeria Basketball Thread! by somehow: 10:21pm On Aug 18, 2019 |
Bro, this excuse no gel, they have been poor with 3pts and FT all through the tournament. Go and check stats. timay: In finals, you mostly play to win. Sometimes you just do it anyhow till you get the result. coupled with the fact that they were playing against a very partisan host supporters. The coach is taking notes Sha And he will work on it in subsequent tourneys, going forward |
Sports › Re: Nigeria Basketball Thread! by somehow: 9:49pm On Aug 18, 2019 |
We won finally but they need to work on their FT and 3PTA. Just too poor, if we meet better countries with these stats, they will beat us black and blue.
Losing almost 18 free throws out of 30-31 is so bad. |

maasoap: We can't say without evidence. No one among them is talking to the public about the details of what happened, about the details of the investigation and the parties they talked to, even Siasia too. Don't be surprised if you hear that he's paid the fine. This is what I just don't like about FIFA. We thought Blatter was the problem but it seems its a systematic issue. They run that organization like a cult. |

andrew44444: I dont know between ezenwa and uzoho who is better
But Akpeyi is a write off Using stats and figures without sentiments and emotions, Akpeyi is better than them both bar his jittery, but was a bit composed towards the end of AFCON. He's the best of them all when it comes to saving 1-1 and ball distribution. Anyone can argue this with facts and figures. But left to me, both Akpeyi and Ezenwa won't smell the SE after AFCON because they can't get better again no matter what |

All the parties involved wouldn't give details to the public. We can't say much about it because we're in the dark, we shouldn't forget that Attempting without evidence we need to see the evidence! |
