Manure fans had shares in the club, the take over would mean their shares would be bought off. I believe this was also a good reason to fight. David Dein (Vice Chairman - sorry for my error) is a prominent force not just in Arsenal but in English football and he wanted the club to be sold. I believe it was the "Chairman" that opposed him. Forget the "board" crap.

I noted that chelsea was a poor club before we were bought. Neither Man U or Arsenal can identify themselves to be poor clubs. Chelsea could hardly pay for a striker much less get a multi million pound stadium. Why then does your Vice Chairman want one of the club's shareholders to buy bigger shares? Simple so he can make veto decisions about player purchase.

After Fegie's threat, he still remains at Man U after the buy (perhaps his shares were untouched). Probably becuz he too is aware that in club football it is your bank that matters.

Personally, I have no qualms with buy-outs. Yes teams are loosing their english heritage, but i'm not english. Football is changing in England in terms of ownership. In terms of money, it has always been thesame story and it will always be - you need finances to compete. Stop victimising Chelsea for this, it only exposes your own hypocrisy.

I'm tired of replyin to all this anti-chelsea post and i would reply to only meaningfull once from now.

I hope he does not leave. I think what he needs is to hire vialli as an assistant. We played excellent football then and still managed to win 5 cups (including fa cup and cup winners cup) which is not bad at all. He has mustered up belief and team-spirit within the club which should not be tampered with.

People(even opposing fans) should understand that stakes at chelski is higher than at any other club. To be sincere, for a normal club we are having a good season. We dared to compete on 4 grounds. Just what is the beef. Is it wrong to dream? to believe? And we came close - semifinals of champions league, 2nd place in premiership (and still on), won carling cup, finals in FA cup. And this is at a time when our Owner and Dictator is at odds with our "All Star Manager". When the manager did not want to sign shevshenko and ballack, it was imposed on him - well to be sincere i dont blame roman on this one after mourhino wasted his millions on ketzman, wrong phillips, and del horno. When the Manager begged the club not to sell Gallas but to pay outright for Ashley Cole, he refused again. December, he begged for money for a defender, again the club said no. And since then, they have been a lot of rumours concerning his job. Even at a point the players did not know wat was happenin as one of them confessed - " we read things from the paper like you". How the team got to this position is really worth praise.

One thing no one can deny is that Mourhino is a very good manager (probably one of the best). Yes he moans, so does fergie and wenger. He plays mind games, fergie is even better. Chelsea may not be one of the most entertaining teams but atleast they have showed some results in the past three years under his era.

I've been a chelsea fan since vialli when we were a poor indebt club. When it took 2 seasons or more to pay for Hasslebank. No one really bothered about chelsea then. Now we have the money and can buy whoever we wish and no one likes us, everyone is interested with chelsea, its politics, its owner, its game play. Now we buy cups. Chelsea bad! Chelsea wrong! Blah Blah media trash. Yet Manure (once owned and supported by shareholders and fans) is now american, so is liverfools and westham. ASSnals VP left becuz he wanted the club to be sold too. Do i smell hypocrisy?

There is a channel that is FTA that is showing English Premiership live now receivable in Nigeria. Whoever wants to discard his DSTV are free to do so, they no longer have monopoly of showing english premiership in Nigeria.

What are you saying? Will FTA get to PH, Lagos, Abj, Calabar and every other major city? Will it host 3 or 4 live matches at once with beautiful analysis? Even with that DSTV is much more than sports. NO OTHER OPERATOR can compete with it in anyway(well except prices) Maybe the Government would ban MNet and Africa Magic soon.

I was sad when i heard the news. DSTV was doing so well - I dont know what all this monopoly thing is about with private sectors even with microsoft. If you can compete do so if not go and source for the government's help. I think that is how it goes this days. And i can cook up my conspiracy theory that its one of the competitors that went crying and lobying.

The game was tensed but very dry. I can support chelsea when we win and are a bore but man as a neutral i would have slept during the match. Liverpool and Chelsea dont like each other much but how come we dont see that on pitch. I can remember barca and real, now that was a game. We really need to change our game plan.

To be sincere i'm really dissappointed with chelsea. As usual we have failed to score when we need it the most and have again conceded from another setpiece. I knew carvalho and ballack(who has not played to well) missin this match would be a defensive nightmare). As for shevshenko - he makes no difference, right now a waste of money and i hope he improves next season. How can a guy be free in your 18 when taking such a dangerous freekick. How can you miss a goal wen all you need is a leg to touch it or a head. I really think we need players that can play and keep the ball on the ground.
