It is confirmed, we are not getting Villa and neither Pato nor Pirlo. We're moving too slowly in my opinion, it is embarrassing. We quickly re-sign a 31 year old that had a miserable season and fail to move in for new buys. It is certain with the way things are going that no big names will be coming to the bridge. |
lol . . . in the spirit of deborsky . . . so damn funny ![]() I want Villa not Aguero. Our midfield is way too crowded with the wrong sort of players. |
Rumours: We are prepared to offer 30 million Euros for Pirlo Why did I not play football? |
That was a mere comment after he lost out to Germany. What happened to freedom of speech? ![]() |
FBS:They've started their lies already . . . Why will we buy Glen again? |
Ibime, As usual you are long on words and short on understanding ![]() 1. Achievements are measured by trophies, nothing more nothing less. Not by players, or style or even profits . . . dude football is all about winning PERIOD!!! For example Arsenal has been profitable the last few seasons but short on trophies and hence unsuccessful. 2. I have always supported and respected Guus. 3. JM left us the team we have today including the defense, mentality, determination and spirit. 4. Why are you head over heels about JM's pay package sef? Na you dey pay am? See me see trouble o. Sharrap dia jare. How much did Guus earn in his short stint. You JM hater ![]() |
None of those were 30, Malouda is now an incontrovertible success, Ferreira played his part and the others are debatable. |
While Ibime continue to rant against JM, RA bought Ballack and Shevy Scolari bought Deco Ancelloti will buy Pirlo and possibly swap Essien in the deal |
BAD NEWS!!! Ballack signs new deal |
Ancelloti leaves Milan Carlo Ancelotti has announced his contract at AC Milan has been terminated by mutual consent. The news clears the way for the Italian coach to be installed as Guus Hiddink's replacement at Chelsea. More to follow, http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=651460&sec=europe&cc=3888 |
Guus is simply terrific. Thanks for the time Guus. You're up there with the best. |
Frank Chelsea LAmpard!!! |
Ibime, Nateevs, Reply to your recent criticism against JM: The source of the information is simply not credible. Was this an interview with Makalele? Who granted the interview? What newspaper was it on? We simply can not bring this up as evidence in an argument. JM is history, though with him we shared a great history, trophies and built the team we have today. FACT!!! Now, we should forget what we have achieved and aim to achieve much more. Forget mistakes (which no one is above making btw), forget misplaced criticism and sites that are trying to sell ghost stories. Let us concentrate on the future. Today we will lose one of the best managers in the world. It would have been nice to keep him. Let's see how his last game goes. Cheers mate. |
It was a sad sad day for European football yesterday. The refereeing was completely horrendous. I could count 4 clear and justifiable penalty appeals. How anyone can claim those handballs were not a legitimate call for penalty is just beyond me. The rules are simple 1. Goal bound hand balls are penalties 2. If you raise your hand, it's a penalty Malouda taken down in the very 18 and the ref points outside the 18 for a freekick. Drogba clearly brought down by Abidal and the ref fails to give a penalty. I'm convinced the only way to get a penalty against Barca is by being shot dead in the very penalty area. It's sad really but these things happen. We failed to capitalize on our chances. Drogba had a beautiful opportunity to finish the game but he failed to score, just as he had done in the first leg. Anelka went down several times when he would have ran ahead to meet the Valdes alone. We won't have needed the ref to make right decisions if we had taken our chances so the players should also be angry at themselves. That being said, I think Drogba and Ballack's antics at the Ref was completely disgraceful and unprofessional. These things happen in football. Are they going to attack every Ref that fails to blow his whistle their way? It's just a shame really. |
Even Ibime has joined me on - DIDIER THE MONSTER DROGBA!!! ![]() Wonders shall never end. Meanwhile am I the only one to notice how well Malouda has improved? What does Guus say to these players? |
What a thriller! This should be the referee's last game in the UCL this season. I am seriously disappointed by his refereeing. Lampard and Drogba were marvelous on the night. Beautiful reaction by Chelsea. |
Let's take it one game at a time, bro. |
These two days have not only come with shocking suprises but may have made JM look pretty small. Yesterday's Porto game showed what Porto can continue to do without the special one. Perhaps if Porto goes ahead to eliminate ManU we may just get a new "special one". Our match today was a breath taker, really. Ivanovich of all people scoring two goals and Didier the monster Drogba increasing the tally. Beautiful game by Chelsea. We were totally outstanding. Ivanovich is definitely the man of the match. |
Ref was bribed . . . period!!! |
This Ref was bribed . . . really. |
Who would have thought? Never in my wildest dream. This makes JM's effort in 2004 largely negligible. Beautiful game by Porto. |
Kalou, na wa o Stoch will be good for the future . . . next season probably. Lampard is my man of the match |
That should have been a goal against us. Wrong call |
Good shot by Lampard. Anelka out . . . Di Santo in . . . good. |
Lampard through ball to Malouda and Malouda scores!!! |
Anelka's passing decision is really wanting |
Lampard Scores!!! |
Anelka is crap. Where is Drogba? |
Malouda is crap |
nateevs:We can not depend on Quaresma and Stoch. Hiddink is right to start with Malouda and Kalou |
cabali:I have not been particularly impressed with our games. There were in no way comfortable wins. We fail to put teams to the sword and kill the game. Our defense also seem to concede too easily. Up until the last game I did not think all that was particularly Hiddink's fault. Since he was also winning matches there wasn't need to criticize. Overly I think we lack the required personnel to play the way we ought; to deliver the way we should. Everyone agrees we need wingers. Anelka at the moment is player out of role since we lack wingers to support a 4-4-2 and as a result his goal scoring has reduced. We also agree we need to let go of some old dogs that fail to give 100% through the season. A lot of changes has to be done and too much was wrong before Hiddink came in. Our objective this season should be to qualify for the CL. Anything better than that would be a great job by Hiddink. Will you renovate a house that you are evacuating? Hiddink is leaving at the end of the season, how well do you then expect him to do? |
I agree Hiddink got it wrong with Spurs but to be sincere I had lost all hope of winning the EPL, Hiddink or no Hiddink. I think I would rather judge Hiddink on our overall performance at the end of the season than by a match. I think our objective should be to qualify for the next years Champions League. Meanwhile Gerrard is on fire. I can not help but think what we would have been like had he fallen for JM's overtures and joined Chelsea. He is the best player in the world at the moment. |
