Godons1: This is the only Abia man I've seen that is proud of his State.
Quick question to you @SonOfEl. * Why is it that, Abia have zero good Roads. *Why is it that Abia State does not have a standard market. *Why do they use a Bus to evacuate waste from the State, instead of Trucks. *Why is Abia dirty.
Ovamboland: Youre very ignorant, which Seaport or Airport levies goes into Lagos state account? Is it not shared among all the states?
Don't you have markets and private ventures in your states? Whose fault if you fail to raise revenue from them if they truly exist.
Did you not claim you're all entrepreneurs and competitive? Why is it not showing in your state IGR the way it's seen in Lagos, SW and other developed societies? Another lie spotted.
It's not SW fault you failed to create investment destination in your states. You can't be close minded and hostile to investors and salivate over the returns going to those who are investment friendly and welcoming.
You keep displaying this i-too-know attitude that eventually shames you.
The money shared among states comes mainly from oil export, not from internally generated revenue. Lagos state government also collect levies from port and port-related activities. See this ignoramus trying to sound informed. Businesses run by igbos in lagos is due to the infrastructure already put in place during the lagos capital status era, so stop shouting.
Awkabigboy: The pictures from the filthy and pig farm called Abia state is already everywhere on nairaland. No one should be proud to come from Abia only pigs should come from there , why are u abia people this cursed

There are millions of proud abians. Our problem is simply that we are media shy when it comes follow up in politics and leadership.
Question 1 is invalid. There are good in-roads, but there are also terrible roads. Go to YouTube and see the latest videos on Aba.... Umuahia by the way have decent roads.
Question 2 is invalid. There are standard market (the new market that replaces the one at isigate) and malls (Abia mall and Aba mall in Umuahia and Aba respectively) in Abia state.
Question 3 is just plain dubious. Trucks are used to offload waste.
For Question 4, there is no state (including yours that isnt stinking or dirty). Abia's poor media publicity is just the issue here. Umuahia is neat. Abiriba is clean and well planned. Aba needs to do more to enforce cleanliness.
Awkabigboy: The pictures from the filthy and pig farm called Abia state is already everywhere on nairaland. No one should be proud to come from Abia only pigs should come from there , why are u abia people this cursed
If you think i should deny my hometown because of maladministration then you are sick upstairs.
Look who is shouting 'curse' in nairaland. Your state has nothing that i should envy...not even close
kingawothefirst: You sound pained. Osu people shouldn’t speak when free-borns are talking. I refuse to acknowledge you, you are forever a slave both in this country and abroad. Stay out of my mentions.
We control Lagos economy. That's why we give tinubu heartache.
Awkabigboy: Anambra my state is the envious of all and the pride of Africa. And deep down u know this.
Abia is cursed and should even learn from a new state Ebonyi that was just carved out of it yet they have achieved what abia can't meet up in the next 20 years. Shame shame shame
Lol.....Look at this one....i opened a thread to say some positives about my state and you busy vomitting. There is no big deal about your state. Noise making doesn't mean your are the best, no matter how hard you try
I admit that we have bad leadership in abia, does that mean nothing positive comes from Abia? Jealousy. What do you have that we should envy? NOTHING.
Awkabigboy or whatever you call yourself, take your silliness elsewhere. I'm not comparing states. I love my Abia state despite its present challenges. You live in denial of how undergoverned your state is. Okpoko the biggest slum in Alaigbo (located in anambra) comes to mind
Awkabigboy: 95% of people mentioned here are already dead and mean nothing anymore . You should be more concerned on how Abia has become the worst state in south east, no road , no good governance. Health workers are owed 10 months salary
Silly envious lies.
Check the list again and correct yourself. Is your state well governed? Is Nigeria well governed? So who are you to condemn another state? Shall we throw the baby away with the bathwater. Think before posting.
No road no road....how many roads does your state have that Abia doesnt have? E no go pass two or one....that is if your state even has roads.
Your state is the worst NOT Abia, no matter how bad Abia is.
seunmsg: The man who should never have been head of state. He was a conservative soldier who had little or no idea on how to run a complex and diverse country like Nigeria. Grossly incompetent and was never prepared for office. No wonder he couldn’t last for more than 6 months.
Looking back now, I think things would have taken a different dimension if the original coupist of 15tb January, 1966 had formed the government instead of the reactionary government of Ironsi. Nzeogwu, Ifeajuna, Ademoyega etc were better educated and prepared for government. Maybe we would have avoided the bloody counter coup and the bloodier civil war that we are yet to recover from.
Your collective biase wont recognize the fact that he actually had a genuine plan for Nigeria. ARE YOUR COMPETENT LEADERS NOT PRACTICING THE SAME UNITARY SYSTEM THEY MUDSLINGED IRONSI FOR? ENVIOUS SOUL.
Did General Ogundipe even have balls to take over?
Abia is God's own state. But you know, satan wants whatever belongs to God - worship, praise, glory and finally, Abia state. Why Abia state?
1. Abia is the home of progressives and pioneers some of whom are:
Michael Okpara (Former Premier, Eastern region)
Alvan Ikoku (Political and Educational Icon, Portrait in 10 naira note)
Aguiyi Ironsi (First Black African UN Commander and Former Head of state)
Chinyere Kalu (First Female Nigerian Pilot)
Nwankwo Kanu (Most decorated Nigerian Footballer)
O C Ukeje (Most decorated Nollywood Actor from Igboland)
Nnamdi Ezeigbo (SLOT Founder)
Arunma Oteh (Former Treasurer and VP of World Bank)
Uma Ukpai (God's General)
Nnamdi Kanu (Ohamadike Onyendu of Alaigbo).............. The list seems ENDLESS...and SATAN HATES THIS, so he smuggled bad eggs into the leadership of the state.
2. Abia state being South East's link to the Atlantic ocean via Obuaku seaport.
3. Abia being a center of commerce and Industry in West Africa (ABA MADE PRODUCTS)
4. Home of world renowned Inventors like Samuel Achilefu, Ndubuisi Ekekwe, etc
5. Enyimba FC, home of the most successful Nigerian football club.
6. Government College Umuahia, a renowned school that shaped the likes of CHINUA ACHEBE, SARO WIWA, CHRISTOPHER OKIGBO, the list seems endless
7. The place of rich merchants (ABIRIBA)
8. The home of most Igbo top Military brass Africa has ever produced (Ndubuisi Kanu, Ebitu Ukiwe, Azubuike Ihejirika, Ike Nwachukwu, etc) and has a history of being warlike e.g Ohafia, Arochukwu, Isikwuato, etc.
9. Abia the MSME capital of Nigeria.
10. A place where Biafras General Ojukwu chose to build his bunker for safety.
To be honest, ABIA IS THE PRIDE OF ALAIGBO, BUT POISON THE HEAD AND SEE THE BELOVED LAND FALLING APART. ABIA SHALL AND WILL RISE BEYOND EXPECTATIONS. So help us God.
Dsalvo: You're doing the whataboutism thing again. Dem take am swear for you guys? Mention one thing bad about Igbos and their first reaction is to deny the allegation with whataboutism or attempt discrediting the source.
Tell me yourself if it is a lie Igbos are wedded to the redundant ideology of whataboutism as a response to everything.
Otherwise why is the poster I responded to not facing the issue at hand i.e Igbo universal drug dealing notoriety? He could even ignore the thread entirely!!!
Why respond to begin attacking the Yorubas of "skull mining" as if that somehow diminishes the seriousness of Igbo drug dealing menace worldwide?
Really childish and irresponsible behavior. You all should be ashamed of yourselves because Yorubas confront their wrongdoing and wrongdoers. They don't make excuses.
Keep fooling yourself. Your archaic psychology of trying desperately to profile the Igbo race and drug dealers at a glance is not only myopic, but plain stupid.
Playing to the gallery is another "oluwole" tactic that has gone stale. A drug dealer being Igbo is TOTALLY different from "Igbos are drug dealers".
Dsalvo: Bruv, abi na grandpa make I call you, wetin concern Yoruba for dis matter? People like you are the problem of Igbos with your redundant "whataboutism" ideology and 'living in denial' excuses.
You will never face your problems and wrongdoings. Instead you're alway looking for ways to pretend they are justifiable and common to others.
Face your problems and try to find solutions for them. Stop using the worthless ideology of whataboutism to console yourself.
Am i surprised you are quoting Joe Igbokwe? Lol.... Absolutely not
ArewaNorth: I don't damn care abt ur opinion. This is exactly what he told me!
Says who? You isn't it? Jejely put your mouth within its limit, because the crimes of your people are legendary e g kyari, babangida, Abacha, bagudu, Ganduje, bureau de change scammers? should i continue? Iberibe
ArewaNorth: This is exactly what an Indian told me in 2019, he said he has been dealing with Nigerian in different businesses for more than 30yrs and he very well knows Igbos as fraudulent people. I didn't mean to offend them but this was what he told me in Mumbai that year.
Stupid lies....abi you are the one who profiled ndigbo
We love you. You give us the best foods, the best dances, and the best homes. Most men from other ethnicities salivate over you despite ignoring the philosophies behind your values.
You have achieved many firsts both home and abroad. We see you in Flora Nwapa, we see you in Chinyere Kalu, we see you in Dora Akunyili, we see you in Chioma Ajunwa, we see you in Ngozi Okonjo iweala, we see you in Chimamanda Adichie.
We pray for you. We pray for yours. We shall fight for you and die for you. Because you are our pride. In our hearts, After God na you o. God bless our dear Igbo women.
forgiveness: Lagos already had electricity, seaports, train, street lights, bridges, trams, banks etc long before any ethnic group migrated to Lagos.
These amenities were not developed by yorubas. Lagos was a british crown colony and later the former capital of Nigeria. Who were the majority high ranking civil servants before the war?
Factshunter: Of course, cos your oral stats are more than enough to do justice to that. You are just a waste of time and space for reasonable discussion for educational purposes.
Thank you... Bring your own authentic stats debunking my "oral stats". I am waiting....
Factshunter: I should just go to Apapa, just like that? But I remember saying words should be backed with, facts?
For your info, whatever comes from Apapa goes to the federal to start with, ok.
Secondly, for you to open your mouth to say you developed lagos it has to be proven beyond ' Go to papa.
Thirdly, it's not enough to say Ibos are the major importers, it has to be proven with facts.
And lastly, do your digging on the major contributors to lagos state igr and how it's generated and stop messing with thread with oral figures or go to APapa.
I don't even know who told you how much Apapa generates into the state's purse, perhaps, you assumed that too?
Please , lets start making sense on this thread. It's not a must to comment or say something.
Oga, google should help you confirm who the main CONTAINER/FREIGHT FORWARDING importers and exporters are in apapa
Factshunter: Can you please explain and how, with facts?
Really? God I'm so bored....
Please I'm tired.....i have done it severally for years on this forum....... What is lagos chief revenue earner? TAX AND LEVIES FROM SEAPORTS, AIRPORTS, MARKETS, AND PRIVATE VENTURES
Go to Apapa shipping ports, check out the majority of importers and exporters, Go to the markets be it Aspamda, Oshodi, Ladipo, TejuoshoYaba, Ojuwoye, Alaba. Go to Okota-Cele-Festac-Ojo Axis and see the property owners there.
What about Emzor, Coscharis, SLOT, Fidelity, UBA, Access, Ekenedilichukwu, Ifesinachi, ABC, Young Shall Grow, to mention but a few? What property owners in Lekki axis?
I have not even mentioned numerous hospitals, schools, and informal (fairly used products ventures), or prestigious private institution like Lagos Business School.......
I have not mentioned business executives running multinationals like MTN, NIGERIA BREWERIES, etc
Oga i am tired.... Do your research
Please stop deluding yourself into thinking lagos was a yoruba miracle....igbo played a major role both politically, socially and economically
Dsalvo: Another spurious claim by an emptily megalomaniac mind. All Igbos play "major roles" in superlative development elsewehere they can never replicate in ala Igbo.
What a 'conundrum' you Igbos are. Lol.
Yes igbo play major roles in lagos development, can you dispute that?
Why are tinubu/yorubas scared of igbos during lagos elections?
You are so poor in logic, now you are poor in statistics as well.....chai...who do you this thing?
Is lagos not 80% of southwest in terms of industry? Who are the captains of these industries? Be it manufacturing, shipping, air travel, movie industries, etc? Is it a yoruba only affair as compared to the east? Oju o tie tin yin
plaindealer: Have you all noticed that these ipos are just attacking instead of showing us the achievements in their village, I guess nothing to show..
Sit at home losers..
You will NEVER see yoruba achievements in igbolands be it Asaba, Onitsha, Aba, Enugu, Owerri, etc but you would see igbo achievements in lagos, Ibadan, etc despite igbos building their own homelands with little or no federal support.
