Why does Abia give you nightmares? What state are you from?

Anambra and bigotry....they will never see that the miscreants could usually either emerge from them (anambarians) or enabled by them.

Stigmatizing Abakaliki shows the primitivity of a lot of anambarians.

Abia has the capacity to even rival Lagos but leadership has been it's problem. We would rather have wished the two Orjis and the current Ikpeazu were gutter cleaners than governors. And we pay that all future idiots who wish to be governors but have nothing to contribute (just like you) be gutter commissioners in a foreign land
The OP is simply seeking the attention of Abians. That's all. OP na notice-me.

I can see some people most especially igbo calling joe igbokwe special adviser on gutter instead of Special Adviser for Drainage & Water Resources to Lagos State Governor, Babajide.

Trust me I will rather be special adviser on gutter than be deputy governor in imo or Anambra .A commissioner in lagos is more relevant than being a governor of Anambra.
You keep seeing Abia masquerade in your dreams. Please stay in your "gutter", Abia is too big for you to comprehend.
CultureRe: 11 Factual Similarities Between The Igbo And Ibibio-efik Peoples by SonOfEl(m): 10:28am On Nov 07, 2021
espionagesavvy:
Good one.

Arochukwu was inhabited by the Ibibio people people igbo groups came from further west. A war was fought and the Ibibios lost. They migrated further south and those who didnt were assimilated. A lot of Abia people still bear Ibibio sounding surnames and a lot of cultural assimilation took place aided by marriages etc. The core igbo group, undiluted are those from Anambra/Imo north, that is the igbo center group. Abians have a lot on common with Efik/Ibibio. They even look similar. You would have a hard time telling an Ibibio person apart from an Abian. Anambra people look different and their behavior are different. They possess that enterprising spirit of the Igbos the most.
Grossly inaccurate.

Igala and Anambra have some mixture.

Edo and Onitsha have some mixture

Trying to be subtle in denigrating is sheer stupidity.

Arochukwu and Ohafia are even more enterprising than most Anambra people

PoliticsRe: Ikwerre Are Not Igbos, BRACED Counters Amaechi's Claim That Ikwerres Are Igbos by SonOfEl(m): 1:57pm On Aug 01, 2020
whirlwind7:
A few numbers of Ikwerre folks can be found in IPOB, no doubt.
But that doesn't make the larger Ikwerre clan Igbos.
Most Igbos used to think so. Used to believe that Ikwerres are Igbos with their slightly different dialects. But it is the Ikwerres themselves who voiced it out publicly, especially in their socio-political group, ogbako Ikwerre, that they are not Igbos.
Gradually, we began to make sense of their actions during and after the war, when they seized houses belonging to Igbos in PH (a wicked action that no other ethnicity in Nigeria considered)
They changed the names of towns and villages from their wholesome Igbo names by prefixing letter "R" to them. Thus "Ụmụ" became "Rumu".
Their igbo-phobic outbursts became more strident. I have Elechi Amadi's comments on the issue. Several prominent Ikwerre sons lend their voice to it, that Ikwerres are not Igbos. That Ikwerres migrated from Bini. Why should we accept otherwise?
Governor Wike made a subtle, yet a very loud move, by renaming a state structure after Yakubu Gowon, something an Igbo man living or dead, would never contemplate.
He couldn't name it after Ken Saro Wiwa, Isaac Adaka Boro, or even if he has a hard on for ex military generals, why not guys like TY Danjuma, David Marks, or people like Lawrence Onoja?

No, he had to send a message to Igbos: your enemy is my friend. Amen smiley
You know what? Most Igbos were not surprised by that move. We already knew. We just moved on. Another day in the jungle.

No, Ikwerres aren't Igbos. No amount of self immolation you perform can change that fact. Ikwerres met Igbos for a few decades and "lost their Bini tongue", right? but other ethic groups like Ibibios, Idomas, Anangs, who have mixed with Igbos for thousands of years still retain their language and cultural identities. Why is that? Are the Ikwerres the most confused subhuman specie on planet earth?
We've separated too far to ever come back together. Ever.
Gowon isnt igbo's enemy
PoliticsRe: Ikwerre Are Not Igbos, BRACED Counters Amaechi's Claim That Ikwerres Are Igbos by SonOfEl(m): 1:54pm On Aug 01, 2020
kingzizzy:
This a very simple to understand. We are all in a Nigeria that nobody agitated for, nobody consented to join and nobody was asked through plebiscite or referendum if they wanted to be part of in the first place. So anyone coming from the point of Nigeria is coming a point of inferiority. The Biafrans(IPOB), on the other hand, are coming from a position of superiority because they are agitating for Biafra, both in the SE and SS, and they want that Biafra to be created for only those who give their consent via a referendum.

So as a Nigerian who is coming from a position of inferiority of an imposed country, you have no basis to argue with IPOB who are coming from the superior position of a Biafra created by democratic referendum

If Nigerians feel that IPOB is dragging some areas into a referendum they never asked for, then Nigerians should agree to immediate dissolution of Nigeria that we were all dragged into with anyones consent. If Nigeria is dissolved, then we can start talking about who wants to drag who into what

But to come from the position of an imposed country to question those who want a country created democratically is a non-starter.
The only post I have read so far that makes sense

Press Statement
BRACED Union Counters Amaechi's Claim That Ikwerres Are Igbos
The BRACED Union, an umbrella group of Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa-Ibom, Cross River, Edo and Delta States of the Niger Delta Region of Nigeria has countered the claim recently made by the Minister of Transport, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi that the people of Ikwerre in Rivers State are Igbos by origin.
The group in a statement endorsed by its National President, High Chief Monday Wehere is in sharp disagreement with such assumption by Amaechi, admonishing him not to bring the people of South-South into the unfavourable Nigerian political climate for personal interest.
The statement said that Amaechi in the first instance has no locus standing to speak on behalf of the Ikwerre people or the South-South region. The group believes that Amaechi has not attained that status of a rallying figure no matter the level he has climbed to in politics.
According to the statement, "History has it that in the early nineties, the white man was looking for labourers and so they approached the Ikwerres and their surrounding neighbours of Kalabari, Okrika and Eleme who flatly refused them for labour. The white man therefore, penetrated the Igbo hinterlands and recruited very willing labourers. And that was the beginning of the Igbo man's adventure in Ikwerre land. However, the administrative arrangements of the white man wrongly posited the Ikwerre and other peoples of Southern Nigeria into the Eastern region, largely dominated by the Igbos.
"So to now claim that the Ikwerres are Igbos because of communal proximity and mix-up is an aberration. As an Ikwerre man, that statement was least expected from Rotimi Amaechi who should know better where the Ikwerre man stands in terms of origin and root. But in case he doesn't know or pretends not to know, he should consult history gurus from Ikwerre rather than throwing up political tantrums to score a cheap one", the statement read in parts.
In addition, the group insisted that as the mouthpiece of the South-South people in terms of advocacy for cultural renaissance, progressive reorientation, building of capacity for inter-BRACED States economic growth and development, it would continue to speak for and protect the interest of the people of the BRACED States.
"We cannot be hoodwinked by political gimmicks. We know who we are, and we are resolute in achieving our own identity independently", the statement further averred.
Comr. Dcn. Patrick Ochei,
Director of Media, BU.

whether you bark or bite, ikwerre will ALWAYS be seen as a renegade Igbo subgroup.

Personally, I think they are inconsequential. leave amaechi alone...you all are also corrupt because you want to claim all the oil for yourselves. lol....
