The syndicate behind the distribution of a poisonous brand of cow hide delicacy, popularly called ponmo, have been busted in Lagos. Recall that few days ago, an alarm was raised about a poisonous ponmo in circulation in Lagos. It was alleged that the syndicate normally delivered the poisonous item at a big warehouse in lgando area of the Lagos metropolis.

The syndicate behind the distribution of the poisonous ponmo were busted during the week, after The Nation correspondent was alerted over the arrival of a new consignment of the ponmo in question from Senegal, imported by some Lebanese business men and about to be offloaded at the usual warehouse in the vicinity, owned by one Mrs. Animashahun, an alleged major distributor of the item in the Southwest region.At exactly 1.45 am, the trailer that loaded the item was seen pulling up at the warehouse with some men engaged to offload the consignment into the warehouse at No. 9 College Road. It was gathered that after the report went viral, Mrs. Animashahun, a big distributor of the item had gone back to the community leaders with her lawyer, begging that she should be given the chance to sell her poisonous item until August ending when she would relocate her shop. 

After her plea was turned down by the community leaders, she decided not to offload her consignment in the day time and chose to do so at the odd hours of the night, when residents of the area must have slept. The consignment was accompanied by about seven casual labourers who offloaded it into the warehouse. Her plan which was to wait till morning of the following Monday to inform her numerous customers to come for their goods, was busted by some officials of the Ministries of Health and Agriculture who got a tip-off that another consignment of poisonous ponmo had arrived the community.

A Nigerian lady has taken to her social media page to narrate her close shove with death after she almost got killed in an elevator in Lagos.

The lady who said she is asthmatic was trapped in the elevator at one of the public spots in the city and she couldn’t reach out for help as the network in the space went blank immediately.

Read her story below:

I’m asthmatic and claustrophobic.
I was trapped in the lift at E-Center Yaba for more than 20 minutes. I had no network on my phone.I kept on banging the lift and pressing the alarm button and other buttons. Nothing was happening, the lift just kept on vibrating.

The place started getting stuffy by the minute and my chest getting tighter. I was the only one in the lift.Tears began to find its way down my cheeks. I was really scared and was in panic mode already.
At some point, the lift moved a bit downwards and opened up to a wall. A wall was before me.Then it closed up again.

I continued banging and calling for help. As soon as few bars popped on my phone, I made that post on facebook. Then I called my Chaplain who lives close by. The line was breaking but thankfully I was able to get my message across.

She came over immediately and complained to them. I waited for another painful 15 minutes. (She said they were trying to call the person in charge, but he wasn’t picking up)
As soon as the lift opened up, I saw ECenters uniformed men before me. And the next thing I heard was “sorry, why didn’t you call for help ” I was mad. “You think I stayed in there doing nothing because I’m stupid right? ” I wiped my tears.

I was tired, I walked to meet my chaplain.I was still really nervous. My inhaler wasn’t with me. She made me sit and went to get an inhaler. I used the inhaler and got a bit better.
After a while, we proceeded to leave.

As I walked past the securities at the door I heard them talking.
Security right : “Na she dey inside the lift? ”
Security left: “Yesso, na she dey there”
Security right:.”And she just dey there dey cry”

I stepped back immediately. I was mad. “What did you just say? ” I asked. He didn’t respond. “what did you just say? ” I asked two more times. He denied saying anything.
I walked away.

There is no value for the human life in the least. No single form of remorse. How will your lift be stuck for over 20 minutes and you didn’t realize? What if I wasn’t with a cell phone?
If I had spent ten more minutes in that place…. I don’t want to even think

I doubt if I’d be using any lift anytime soon. (it happened on Monday)

I was almost killed on the elevator at The Radisson Blu hotel in Lagos back in 2001.

I was whistling "Temptation" by Psquare as i entered the elevator.

A baby elephant was in the lift - sorry, i meant a fat lady who must have weighed 190kg.

I stared uneasily at the weight limit - 700kg for 10 persons. She was occupying space for at least 4!

Just as the doors were about closing, i saw 3 hefty guys dashing to come in.

A chill ran up my spine looking at their hard faces and their dark black skin

My past had finally caught up with me. On behalf of the Nigerian Government, I had assassinated the Ghanaian Minister sabotaging the Abidjan- Lome Corridor in 1999

All 5 of us in the lift. Barely space to manoeuvre. The atmosphere was thick with tension.

I whispered in fat girl's ears "duck"

She looked back with a stupid dumbfounded expression on her face "huh?"

"DUCK" i repeated harshly.

A split second after i smashed the lights in the elevator.....

... and that was when the madness began!

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has  presented its eight witness against a serving member of the Federal House of Representatives,  Nse Bassey Ekpeyong, who is facing trial on a ten- count amended charge bordering on forgery and uttering of documents,  before Justice Ifeoma Ojukwu of the  Federal High Court sitting in Uyo,  Akwa- Ibom State.

The Port Harcourt's Zonal Office of the EFCC arraigned Ekpenyong, alongside Okon Bassey on March 30, 2017. While the legislator was alleged to have forged a West African Examination Council, WAEC's certificate and a National Diploma Certificate of Abia State's Polytechnic, Bassey is facing trial for allegedly writing examinations for Ekpenyong.

At the resumption of the trial, prosecution counsel, A.I.  Aroga presented his eight prosecution witness before the court. The witness, Nwabude Wilfred, a staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, tendered form CF001 (Party Nomination Form) before the court.  The form was allegedly submitted to INEC by the first defendant, through his  party, People's Democratic Party,  PDP,  on December 18,  2014.

Attached to the form are the first defendant's  personal credentials: an Ordinary National Diploma,  a  statement of result and a certificate purportedly issued to him by Abia State Polytechnic for the course he offered (Business Administration). A West African Examination Council, WAEC's  result,  allegedly issued to him in 1999 was also attached to the form.

The witness further testified that upon receipt of the said form from PDP on behalf of Ekpenyong, the form was published within seven days in the Local Government Area of the first defendant and in INEC office, Uyo, for any objection or claim that would be made by any member of the public to the nomination of the first defendant.  According to the witness, no objection was raised by anyone.

Justice Ojukwu admitted the documents as exhibits and adjourned the matter to July 3rd and 5th, 2019.

So I will try to be as brief as possible, because story is very long.

Started having an affair with this close friend of my wife who now happens to be my colleague in the office now... I helped her got the job before we started having se. X. I have been her target, Infact that was why she came so close to my wife, I'm introverted, so that was the only way she could get close.

Yes she's not happy in her marriage, because her husband is promiscuous and don't give her attention . She used me to ease her pain. I consented to the affair because I kind of felt I was assisting her ease the pain in the marriage... I was totally wrong... I goofed, along the line we fell in love with each other... Deeply in love, even  we knew what we were doing was wrong.

Every fuc, king persons in my neighbourhood and office feels I'm straff1ng her, but we were never caught in the act.
The more I try to resist and stop this whole affair, the more the bond, considering we work in same office space.

She wants more attention than I give to my wife her supposedly friend .. She flares up most time when I pick my wife's call... Forgetting we are close family friends and can easily be caught.
She steal kisses whenever she visits, not minding my wife is in the kitchen.
We both have kids... That are friends.

NOW THE BIG ISSUE :

Because of the less attention she's getting from me, considering the fact that I want to play safe, she has decided to start straff1ng our boss who seems to be giving her the whole attention as it seems now.

Our boss his a nice handsome guy.

Myself and our boss are very close Pal, he knew I'm so close to her but choose to get is own pound of the flesh... Even though he claim he wasn't... But I was privileged to hack and  read their chat and got knowledge of their sexcapade...

She still wants an affair with me, she's fuc. k1ng  sleeping with two married people in an office.
I found this very hurtful, shameful, disgraceful and disgusting... Even though what I'm also doing is terrible...
I'm trying to heal and stop this whole affair... I took some days off work to clear my head already.

I'm deeply hurt by her actions, blocked her on all social media handles.

I need matured advice please on how to scale through all this without going back to my vomit looking that we work in same office space and I got to see her every other day.
