Crime › ISIS Kills Nigerian Christians In Revenge For Killing Of Members In Middle East by sonofElElyon(op): 8:24pm On May 13, 2022 |
The Islamic State (IS) group has published a video that shows the execution of about 20 Christian civilians in northeast Nigeria’s Borno State, BBC reported.
One of the masked militants who spoke in Hausa language during the execution said it was to avenge the killing of the group’s leaders in the Middle East earlier in 2022.
The video was published on an IS-linked news outlet and shows three groups of captives in civilian clothes.
The time of the video and location of execution is however unknown. Nigerian authorities are also yet to speak on the video. Its authenticity, however, was confirmed by SITE Intelligence.
IS leader Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurashi died in February during a brazen nighttime airborne raid carried out by the United States special forces in northwestern Syria.
The operation, in which Kurdish forces also took part, was conducted in the Idlib region where his better-known predecessor Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was killed in a similar raid in 2019.
Qurashi, who was also known as Amir Mohammed Said Abd al-Rahman al-Mawla, replaced Baghdadi after his death in a US raid in October 2019, and had a reputation for brutality.
The IS militants operate in the Lake Chad region under the name Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), along with another Islamist militant group, Boko Haram, have recently suffered huge losses as a result of attacks by a multi-national military force.
Boko Haram jihadist group in June 2021 confirmed the death of its chief Abubakar Shekau, who sources say died during infighting with the rival Islamic State-allied faction, according to a video message from its presumed new commander.
Shekau’s death has since caused a huge division amongst the ranks of Boko Haram with some of its commanders pleading loyalty to ISWAP.
This caused a major shift in Nigeria’s conflict, though Islamic State in West Africa Province or ISWAP has recently emerged as the dominant force in the more than decade-long Islamist insurgency in the country’s northeast.
The conflict has claimed the lives of thousands and displaced millions of residents who are taking refuge in IDP camps.
Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari in mid-2021 ordered an improved military action against the terrorist which has led to hundreds of terrorists surrendering, according to the army.
The repentant terrorists are enrolled in Nigeria’s rehabilitation and deradicalisation and reintegration programmes.
Borno state Governor Babagana Zulum during the visit of UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres visit to Nigeria said at least 40,000 Boko Haram fighters and their families have surrendered to authorities since 2021 after the death of Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau. https://guardian.ng/news/is-release-video-showing-revenge-execution-of-nigerians/

Guyman02: When ZOOlensky gave arms to civilians to fight trained Russian soldiers he immediately turned them into combatants and most of the world saw the danger of his ill advised action but the western leaders and it's media cheered him on.
Russia has gone the extra length to reduce civilian casualties and in the process even lost own troops.
Have you ever heard or seen NATO led by America create corridors like Russia in the heat of war for civilian evacuation? No, they will level the whole city without remembering their usual scam of Human Rights violation. Check out what America did in Fallujah and Um Qasa in Iraq, they bombed those cities with depleted uranium and cluster bombs when they faced strong resistance, today the effects is still felt with the numerous deformed babies been given birth to.
The western media has been praying desperately for evidence of Russia killing civilians since the war started and are ready to present unverified footage as real and repeat same in all the CNN, BBC, MSNBC studios 24/7.
Do you know that America is facing serious baby food and wheat shortages after sanctioning Russia? Instead of crippling Russia the western economies are in trouble and there will be wide protests soon watch out as their economies shrinks further.
As for Nigeria voting against Russia at the UNSC instead of Buhari staying neutral like India, China, South Africa etc, expect the price of bread to rise further as wheat flour import takes a hit. Russia is selling products at discounts to countries that stay neutral and Nigeria is not benefiting. This is because we lack tactical leadership and we are subservient to the West. So your argument is that they are soldiers? And that unarmed enemy soldiers deserve summary execution? I have always blamed NATO for the escalation of this crisis but we should condemn Russian soldiers when they are wrong. No evidence the men they shot are soldiers.. even if they were do you shoot an unarmed soldier ? Why proceed to loot their shops? |

Family › Re: My Wife Sold Her "Eggs " And Bought A Phone With It. by sonofElElyon: 7:37pm On May 10, 2022 |
Larryfest: Good morning all, I have been having sleepless night for a while now and a few days ago confirmed my insomnia would last longer than I thought.
We were comfortable and have been married for 5years now with a daughter but things have been rough for a while due to my business folding up and we have had to manage with the little we see from time to time. Earlier this year I had to sell some of the things in our house including my phone just so we could buy foodstuffs and pay our daughter's school fees, just some weeks ago I even had to shamefully reach out to a popular Nairalander if he has a phone he could spare because the one I'm currently using is a Desktop kind of phone (doesn't work without directly plugging it).
Last month my wife came home with a brand new Samsung phone and when I asked how she got it her response was that she won it from her womanhood help group on Facebook (she is very active there). Last Sunday while arranging the room I came across a fertility clinic document and the receipt of the phone which the amount written there staggered me a bit because it's way more than our house rent that expired recently which has been the cause of my sleepless nights. When she got back from church I confronted her with my two findings and after plenty talks and argument she confessed a friend from work told her about it and she sold her Eggs at the clinic and it was from it she bought the phone.
My people since Sunday I have been seriously weak and confused, a lot on my mind already but now I have to add this to it Marriage is for the faint hearted abeg!!!
ADDENDUM.....
1. Someone asked how much .... well she said she was paid #150k but the nurse who brought her in collected 15k.
2. Someone also made some points about sex, complications and others and even said it's a made up story to tarnish women or whatever well I don't think they pay for story on Nairaland and even if they do it isn't going to cover what's on my mind right now so you believe whatever you want, it's quite funny to think everyone would exhibit same complications as the third party you heard your gist from...
3. She told me it only took her 3weeks of preparation and she wasn't even going to the more than 3times a week and as for medications and the rest, you think someone who doesn't want you to know what he/she is up to would leave clues flying around the house
4. As for the sex part and her risking getting pregnant, she has been on birth control pills for like 4years now so pregnancy wasn't going to stop her from the procedures.... Hmmmm... 10% agency fee... |

emmanuelewumi: Nigerians have lost over N600 billion in the last 4 years to Ponzi schemes and order High Yield Investment Scheme
There was a case of a lazy who lost N2 million to MBA forex and wanted to commit suicide, her friends and family raised the N2 million and advised her not to commit suicide. Unfortunately 8 months after the lady lost another N3 million in Chinmark.
We have former Ponzi scheme Investors who are now investing in the stock market.
These are there characteristics
1. They are concerned about the upside without thinking about the downside ie they have poor risk management.
2. They are always playing catch up, that is they are trying to recover the money they lost to Ponzi very fast through the stock market...
3. They are aggressive and easily offended
4. They believe this time will different, so they are always out for the next highly speculative position...
5. They have a very poor sense humour.
6. They are not ready to take responsibility for the negative outcomes of their Investments.
7. They are never happy with themselves, the cause is usually psychological
8. They are on the lookout for the next miracle that will turnaround their previous financial and Investment mistakes. You are just a sight to behold! A spectacle.. Still you are unable to follow the origins and history of my posts to understand that I hold stocks in several blue chip companies and only wanted clarification on some results posted here that the posters gave the impression that they could be good buys.. please get off your high horse and read my previous posts so you can drop this your apparently delusional position.. it does seem that nothing will make you change your mind regarding your assessment of the situation even if you indeed read all my previous posts though.. obviously you are hero worshipped here but that doesn't give you the right to denigrate people.. kolaish: @sonofElElyon and others on the forum, you are all good people and very dear to me. And so, I feel it is necessary to say the following:
One of my philosopy in life was taken from Romans 12:18 - "do your best to live at peace with everyone". This quote has given me a lot of peace in life which even money cannot bring. I don't always like having problem with ANYBODY because it hurts my peace more than the person I am even having grudges against.
Therefore, please and please, let us always imbibe the spirit of tolerance and accept other people the way they are. ANGER never builds but only destroy what has been built over the years. The style of communicating by everyone can never be the same. I can say with all honesty that @emmanuelewumi never wish to insult you but was a little bit annoyed with the prospect of someone wanting to invest in unity bank (of all banks!). That may have prompted the reply. Yes, the reply may hurt you but then, if you demand apology and he refused, I am very sure that 90% of forum members would have taken it up and not even you.
We are all here for a common goal, which is to assist each other to be successful in life. Therefore, let us all walk towards it and not allow ANYTHING to tear us apart. Wishing you all a nice Sunday. I hope you saw his latest 2 posts still justifying his rather insulting post to me.. I see no sincerity in all those who can't simply tell him he was wrong. Clearly he lacks the capacity to follow the my posts on the matter which just requested for clarification on the audited result of unity bank which actually posted lovely eps and profit after tax and could be taken by any investor as a green light to invest. my sin is that I didn't know there were underlying problems in the bank (which by the way I suspected and therefore requested for interpretation of the net comprehensive income part.. Shame to those who can't tell this man that he is out of line due to blind loyalty... Still he continues to justify his baseless insulting post and some of you can't tell him it's wrong but keep looking for ways to justify him. Good luck to you all.
