Yes, you are right!

Nothing to rob or kidnap in the potopotor Republic, only statues!

And moreover, armed robbers don't like to operate near home for fear of being identified.

Example: Onitsha robbers prefer to operate in Ijebu Ode, though they are usually caught and gunned down by the gallant Yoruba and Hausa SARS.

PoliticsEkiti Election Shows The People Appreciated Fayemi’s Efforts – Obasanjo by sonsomegrigbo(op): 7:25pm On Jul 15, 2018
Abeokuta – Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Saturday congratulated Dr. Kayode Fayemi over his victory at the Ekiti state governorship election held on Saturday.

In a letter to Fayemi, copies of which were made available to newsmen in Abeokuta, the former president said he received the news with delight while in transit to China.
Obasanjo noted that the outcome of the election broadly reflected the choice of the people of Ekiti state.

He said the people of Ekiti had, through the polls, demonstrated how much they cherish and value Fayemi’s personalty and leadership
Obasanjo also described the outcome of the polls as an indication that the people appreciated the efforts Fayemi had made on their behalf and were ready to help him succeed in his endeavours.

“You will agree with me no doubt that the outcome of the election broadly reflects the choice of your people, who have by their conduct visibly demonstrated that they cherish you and will do their utmost to make you succeed,” he stated.

The elder statesman urged Fayemi to reciprocate their trust by strengthening their faith in democracy and in its ability to enhance improved material conditions and better service delivery to them.
He equally advised Fayemi to be magnanimous in victory and stretch a hand of fellowship to the other candidates.

“You have fought and won the election and deserve to savour the victory.
“As you rejoice, however, I would urge that you should be magnanimous in victory and stretch a hand of fellowship to the other candidates who failed in their bid for elected office.

“Such a gesture is not only charitable but should also help at this time to cool passions in the wider interest of the interest of Ekiti state in particular and Nigeria at large.,” Obasanjo stated. (NAN)

Thank you Nigeria for voting in PMB.

The only president in Africa that has no single record of corruption!

He carefully picked his cabinet members.

All the people picked by him were confirmed all over the world to be the best that have ever produced in the whole of Africa!

Fayemi is winning in Ekiti

Amina appointed as UN executive

Adeosun is appointed biggest bank in Africa chairman..

Ride on PMB! Till 2023.

Even the PIGGIES know the truth that they can never produce any credible, drug and crime free candidates to rule this country. Hence they decide to run away in the guise of independence.

But we will not allow them to go and die in abject poverty...

Ekiti election: Fear, anxiety, intrigues as Ekiti elects governor today.

4,390 soldiers; 30,000 policemen deployed
No security for political office holders.

By Rotimi Ojomoyela

Ekiti election: Today, 667,064 eligible voters who have collected their PVCs out of 913, 334 registered voters are expected to file out across the 2,195 polling units spread across 177 wards in 16 local government areas of Ekiti State to elect a governor who would be saddled with the mandate of running the state for the next four years.

35 governorship candidates from different political parties are jostling to occupy the governorship seat.
Adequate security has been assured as no fewer than 4, 390 combined forces of soldiers and other paramilitary personnel will be deployed to complement the 30,000 policemen who have been drafted to Ekiti to monitor the election.
Police

The atmosphere in the Ekiti election week has been charged, anxiety is beginning to set in, the fear of the unknown is palpable, intrigues, permutation, alignment and realignment of political friends and foes are becoming very noticeable. Interest, the determinant factor is beginning to take the front burner.

No security details for political office holders- Police
Gone were the days when political office holders of different categories from the governor to the chairman of local government area would come to the polling booth with their security details. Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Operations, Mr. Habilal Joshak, told the gladiators that all their security details would be withdrawn from them from the eve of the election till after the election.

According to the Deputy Inspector of police, who has been put in charge of the security affairs for the July 14 election, this would add to the credibility of the Ekiti governorship election.

The police boss said, “We won’t allow anybody to go to the polling booth with armed men, this is a breach of the Electoral Act.

“We have contacted them and they have to be here before election commences. This election must not be compromised. They will be documented and whoever defies this will be sanctioned, because they have been contacted”, he warned.

“If you cast your votes, you can keep a distance and protect your votes, but if you snatch the ballot, we will cut off your hands, if you run with it, we will stop your legs.

“Our duty is to secure not only the electoral materials but also all the citizens. We are going to be professional and watchful, because we don’t want to be bedeviled with cases of hooliganism, ballot snatching and hate speeches before, during and after this election”, he said.

IslamGermany To Expand Consultations With Muslim Community by sonsomegrigbo(op): 11:01am On Jul 13, 2018
The newly enlarged German Interior Ministry plans to expand its consultations with the Muslim Community as part of the Annual Islamic Conference format.

“We have to be much stronger than before in placing at the centre of our Islamic Conference the diversity of our not-yet-organised fellow Muslim citizens in Germany,’’ the secretary of state at the ministry who is responsible for homeland matters, Markus Kerber, told Friday’s Bild tabloid.

The German Islamic Conference is intended to further the integration of Muslims in Germany and improve exchanges between the state and Muslims.
In 2006, then interior minister Wolfgang Schaeuble set up the consultation forum between government and the Muslim community in an annual round-table format.

Kerber pointed out ahead of the conference that there is German Catholicism, German Protestantism and German Judaism. `

`And if there is to be an Islam that is a part of Germany, then German Muslims have to define it as ‘German Islam,’ one based on our constitution,’’ the secretary of state said.

Interior Minister Horst Seehofer, caused a stir shortly after he took office when he told the same newspaper, Germany’s most popular, that Islam was not part of Germany that it did not belong to Germany.

In contradiction of a much repeated phrase by Chancellor Angela Merkel but that Muslims who lived in Germany did belong there.

He said accepting Muslims did not mean that Germans “out of a false sense of consideration’’ should abandon their national traditions and customs.

Similarly, he also pledged he would expand dialogue with Muslims through Schaeuble’s Islamic Conference.
