Singer , Adebayo Adeleke , aka B- Red , has said he doesn ’t foresee the possibility of featuring his father in his music video anytime soon . He said to Sunday Scoop , “I once thought of featuring my dad in my music video but my dad holds an important position in this country . He is a man of integrity and he takes his job very seriously .

However , my music is targeted at a different audience ; therefore it isn’t necessary putting him in my music video . ”
Meanwhile , B Red also courted controversy during the week when he uploaded a video of himself giving out N 500 to some kids .

Many of his followers felt that for someone of his calibre, the money he gave to the kids was too small and that he only uploaded the video to show off. Responding to the insinuations , Adeleke said , “People know that I am a cheerful giver. I give out money all the time – at the airport , clubs and other places . I have done a lot for the street over the years .

Anyway, people differ and that ’s why we have individual differences . Quite a number of people appreciated the token I gave to those kids . You can ’t please everybody . The most important thing is that I was able to put smiles on the faces of those kids .”

Denying reports of a rift between him and his superstar cousin , Davido, B Red said , “There is no rift between me and David . We are very close and we talk almost all the time . I come from a family where everyone is united. People that know the Adelekes are quite aware of the love that exists between us . The only difference between us businesswise is that I am in HKN and he’ s in DMW .”

More residents of major towns in Kwara State have embraced the use of various electronic banking platforms for their financial transactions following the bloody robbery attacks on some banks in Offa town penultimate Thursday .

Investigations by SUNDAY PUNCH revealed that many banks have been recording low patronage across the state despite the heavy presence of security operatives within and around their premises .
Although top management staff of banks declined comments when approached by our correspondent in Ilorin, sources among their workers said they now operated with fear and caution.

They explained that their colleagues in the technical departments were working hard to improve the operational efficiencies of their equipment , especially the Close Circuit Television and the Automated Teller Machine .

They also hinted that the management teams of their banks had made with some private security outfits to complement the activities of the police as undercover agents .
Some residents of Offa , Omu - Aran and Ilorin, the state capital , told our correspondent that they decided to embrace electronic banking platforms to reduce their presence in the banking hall .

One of them , who identified himself as Alhaji Kola Mogaji said , “I have decided to visit the bank only when there is a very pressing and important transaction . I have already activated my online banking platform and I have sent messages to my clients to be transferring money to my bank , instead of issuing cheques or providing cash . I will go to the bank only when it is unavoidable .”

Another resident , Mrs . Gloria Kunle , said she would henceforth pay her children’ s school fees through electronic means instead of paying through the cashier inside the banking hall.

Meanwhile , the Osun State Governor , Rauf Aregbesola, has described the robbery attacks on Offa as barbaric and unfortunate, saying no effort should be spared to bring the perpetrators to justice .
A statement by Aregbesola’s media aide, Mr . Sola Fasure , on Saturday, explained that Aregbesola stated this during a condolence visit to the Olofa of Offa , Oba Mufutau Oloyede .

The governor , according to the statement , called on security agencies at various levels to unravel those involved in the incident .

Aregbesola said , “What happened last week was very unfortunate, barbaric , saddening and uncalled for . It was like what happened about 132 years ago in this town. The incident has once again challenged us to tighten our internal security and I am very sure that the perpetrators would not go unpunished.”

OFFA ROBBERY INCIDENT

My name is Nkpala omunebuka A.K.A Despo. I came from the most popular state in south east in Nigeria. I want to confess of the crime we committed on April 5 in kwara state (offa).
I was chief driver of armed robbery as we were 33 in number, our leader name is called " Finisher" as we were both from south south and east except one Yoruba man called " Oleku". We were responsible for the robbery attack that happen in bank Ikirun( Osun state) where scored were dead. During the Ikirun INCIDENT many Corper would have die if not for me and Oleku that save the situation because the same fateful was the day most Corper throng to bank for alawee...
Concerning Offa incident, we have been monitor the environment since December 2017 as we are surveying the master plan, we observe that to carry out this operation successful we need to disarm the Fake police in Owode station. Our intention was not to kill the civilian but our leader gives us the order to kill anybody that sees our face both inside and outside.I was the one that is wearing Red shirt as the CCTV capture me, we are prepare for the worst that day because government failed us by not providing Job. Most of us have Master degree in a reputable university, we have been pushed to the wall instead we embark on carting our money from Bank.
For me I have not killed any mortal man but I only use Gun to scare people, Even if you watch the video you will observe that I am not aiming to kill. My heart soak as my colleague shot people on head, where scores died. My conscience and the spirit of God is trouble me to leave their Gang as I did not partook in the money. They are after my life that prompt me to send the message to the world by revealing the Incident Saga.
Please understand that part of our team are still in offa listen to people idea, they are everywhere. Once again God should forgive me.

Abuja – The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) says there is no plastic fish in circulation in Nigeria.

NAFDAC Management said in a statement in Abuja on Thursday that its finding followed “a thorough investigation and analysis of some unsuspected plastic fish samples’’ in its laboratory.

The agency said that “the investigation was triggered by a report from a consumer in Abuja who claimed that he bought a fish which refused to cook when set on fire for several minutes.

“The suspected sample of the fish, after thorough investigation, was confirmed to contain protein and fat which is normal to fish.
“The fish was, however, found to be unwholesome due to serious bacterial contamination, NAFDAC said.

“While encouraging Nigerians to watch carefully the kind of fish they buy, it is however important to stress that there is no plastic fish in Nigeria.’’
The management noted that few weeks ago, there had been the circulation of suspected plastic fish in some parts of the world on the social media but stressed that no single case had been found in Nigeria, so far.
The agency urged Nigerians to“ report any suspected unwholesome product, including fish to the nearest NAFDAC office for further investigation’’.(NAN)
