YakubuLagos: CORRUPTION - EDO STATE POWER DISTRIBUTION COMPANY
Good day everyone.
I'm from Edo state to be precise.
The major problem we have presently is not just the FG alone but other bodies under the government.
I lived in an estimate of about 4 flats each. Fast forward to this day, we were using normal light (no prepaid). Along the line, my landlord introduced the prepaid meter for every flat, which was a welcome development.
Yesterday, I decided to recharge as usual. But I got an information that I can't recharge, and this prompt me to go to the NEPA office to laid a complain. On getting there, I was told that I have to pay #5000 before I can recharge and that is a new directive from the state government, which I was skeptical about. What annoyed me was the fact that, the payment is manual and not through the state or FG ban.
Since morning, I have been trying to call them but the phone line kept me on voice note.
Corruption is every corner, the system has gotten to a point where it cannot be saved.
Please, suen, lalastical, please push this to front page for me. This must get to the state government. Kindly create a new thread for your case. |
Programming › Re: Would Programming Still Be A Viable Career If Working Remotely Wasn't An Option? by SonyaSpence: 2:12pm On Jul 18, 2021*. Modified: 11:28pm On Jul 18, 2021 |
I will still be programming Nairaland came to existence via programming long before the remote job era. I believe there will still be money to be made for those really committed to programming cos they have the liberty to build practical solutions that solve problems in the country. All they have to do is monetise these solutions. PS: The above is not easy to achieve in the country due to several unfavourable odds. |

bunto: So if you have 2 brothers and one is always insulting you and bismirching you, while the other respects you, you will be treating them equally?
What will be the equity then? Non sequitur Very faulty logic. Your analogy is only applicable if the money is given as a gesture from the brother's personal purse. Try to think things through, sentiments becloud judgements. |

That year with my Samsung C100 (128X128)... That phone was packed with many features despite it's small size.
Samsung has always been a force to reckon with in the mobile device industry. |

DAFMIS: 2. Slots Buyers: Yes, our slot (if any) are strictly for sale, you must pay in FULL and its expensive, very expensive. E.g, NCDMB might be between 9 to 10million for EH, GT between 8 to 9million. You'll bring the money in dollars to the connect house directly, then we proceed to my house too. You can come with your 3 witness but no phone. The money must be paid on Sunday, to pick up your letters on the preceeding Sunday in either my house or that of the connect. You are not allowed to introduce anyone. Not available now because general printing of APL hasn't started in NCDMB building. Med oo |

philipianlobbos: Direct your effort to the chairlady's office or the secretary to the commission please, meanwhile, don't under estimate the power of any of the commissioners. Alright, thanks for the clarification. |

philipianlobbos: Everyone has a commissioner in FCC, don't just seat at home to keep typing. Move, make calls, ask questions, seek for the phone number of your commissioner because at the end, question may arise, did you apply? Yes I applied will be your response, by the time you ask 10 person's from your state, one must come positive, I guarantee you that. Does this imply that all the FCC commissioners have some decent level of control over this recruitment process? When I say control, I mean guaranteed slots. I have been holding this notion that the FCC commissioners do not have a common level of power on this recruitment. I really want to be clear on this so that I can know where to direct my efforts. Thanks |

Youngpo413: Nice review...too many phones nowadays, very soon smartphones go plenty pass human beings.....A friend is using hot 10 lite, the screen resolution na die,it brightens automatically when outside and it dims automatically when indoors(imagine that kind technology) ,good camera, doesn't lag,4G is very fast,on top fast charge and long lasting battery....transsion get levels o....still wondering why wost people bad mouth them.... It's quite evident you're uninformed about smartphones judging by your excitement regarding the auto brightness feature (old tech) that has been standard on android phones since God knows when. Internet speeds can't be accurately appraised on a single device since there are several factors that could affect it especially in this country where network providers just advertise having newer network technologies without actually maxing out the capacity of older network generations. The internet speeds you get for 4G in naija is not even up to the maximum bandwidth of 3.5G.. Quite pathetic. While I have nothing against transsion cos at least they've made smartphones affordable for the teeming populace. Many of their devices are nowhere near standard. They just keep recycling old devices; add some little things on the surface, rebrand with a new name and sell to the uninformed guys and they buy them up thinking they've got an upgrade whereas it's technically the same old shii. |
