As the news of the Federal Government taking a new battle against Saraki went viral yesterday, it was shocking for some Nigerians to still see the embattled Kwara Politician in the midst of his party men and even the president who many believe is being used to facilitate a targeted war against Him (Saraki).

At that marriage ceremony in Kano, this suspicious picture was taken.

What could the Asiwaju of the Universe be telling Saraki that he looked this cool-headed and sober?

Is it part of the "impossible reconciliation " of his party men among who Saraki (who is believed to be perfecting plans to defect to the PDP) is a Chief aggrieved member?

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a prophet of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church and his accomplice for allegedly killing a woman for money-making rituals.

The prophet, Darasimi Rotimi and his accomplice, Ibikunle Sunday were paraded on Tuesday before newsmen at the state police headquarters Eleweran, Abeokuta, by the state commissioner of police Iliyasu Ahmed.

The suspects allegedly killed one Sara Olowokere at Ijoko, Sango and removed her body parts including head, wrist, heart, breast and private part for money-making rituals.

Ahmed told newsmen that the suspects killed her and “dissected her body before burying her remains at Alafia street, off Alagbole, Ijoko.

The second suspect, Sunday, a 40-year old Okada rider, confessed to our reporter that he killed the victim by hitting a plank of wood on her head.

“I hit a plank of wood on her head. When she died, we now shared her parts. I took her head to Ogo-eri and Darasimi (referring to the Prophet) took the other parts of the body away. They said the parts are essential ingredients for money-making rituals,” he confessed.

He added that the deceased was the girlfriend of the third suspect who is still on the run.

But the prophet from Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Ijoko, denied involvement in the act.

“Don’t mind him. He is just lying. If you commit an offence and confess your sin, God will definitely forgive you. I regret my action. I hope the government will temper justice with mercy,” Prophet Darasimi pleaded.

“I don’t know anything about the incident. I am ready to die,” he added.

Also paraded were three women, Abibat Oyesanya, Morenike Shittu, Olubunmi Funke arrested for child stealing and kidnapping.

Funke who confessed to have sold her three-year old daughter for N280,000, said the money was used to off set her debt.

“I gave out my three-year old daughter to Abibat Oyesanya who is into local adoption business. She promised to allow me to visit my daughter once in three months.

“I am a prostitute. I started prostitution after my first husband sent me packing. So, I decided to give out my daughter to a woman who gave me N280,000. I used the money to offset my debt.

“The woman also requested for more children due to the increase in requests by those adopting children.

”That is why I kidnapped the baby girl in Bodija, Ojurin, Ibadan, and brought her to the buyer,” she narrated.

The state police commissioner said his command was poised to flush out criminals in the state.

He said the suspects were arrested as part of “ember months mop-up operations of the command.”

Also paraded were 10 suspected armed robbers, including a female robbery suspected arrested for allegedly terrorising Mowe-Ibafo.

The suspects were identified as Abiodun Rasaq, Saheed Adebayo, Omisore Kayode, Oyemomi Rasaq, Ridwan Moruf, Mohammed Adefemi, Bala Idris, Abeeb Rasheed, Fatai Abiodun and Bosede Oguntoye (female).

A pastor identified as Olotu Oluwakayode who allegedly diverted N17.8 million belonging to a complainant into his bank account, was also paraded..

Governor Rochas Okorocha has said he erected a huge statue in honour of South African president, Jacob Zuma, to attract investment to Imo state.

the governor said Zuma’s visit to Imo state was to sign a memorandum of understanding between Jacob Zuma education foundation and Rochas foundation college of Africa.

He said the South African president also met with businessmen at the Ikemba Ojukwu centre, including Leo Stan Ekeh of Zinox Computers, Pascal Dozie of Diamond Bank, chairman of Innoson Motors, and a host of others. Okorocha said his administration decided to honour Jacob Zuma by conferring on him a merit award and erected a statue to encourage the South African president to do more and appreciate him for visiting the state.

The Imo state government blamed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the controversy that has surrounded the honour of Zuma. The statement said: “If it was in the days of PDP, Schools and Markets would have been shot down. And roads closed because President Zuma was coming. But none of such things was done because Rochas and his government have human face.

The PDP for the 12 years they held sway never attracted any meaningful visitor to the State except PDP NEC members who were coming to loot the State." The government said Rochas owes no apology for erecting the statue, adding that if erecting statues will develop imo state then the government will have no option than to erect as many of such structures as possible.

"And in case these “Galatians” do not know, if all we need to do to attract good things or investments to Imo is erecting statues, then, we have no option than to erect as many of such structures as possible. We owe no one apology. Rochas made a promise to open the doors of Imo to the rest of the world, for good and he is doing that and we cannot be deterred by these enemies of our people," the government said.

President Muhammadu Buhari’s daughter, Zahra, has explained why her father may not be aware of the deteriorating state of the Aso Villa clinic.

Just yesterday, Wife of the President, Aisha Buhari ”flamed” up over the state of the hospital which according to her is shameful.

But before then, Zahra had on September 29th called out the permanent secretary of the state house over the poor condition of the hospital.

Zahra asked why the hospital lacked basic items such as a syringe even when it has a N3. 2 billion budgetary allocations.

After she called out the Permanent Secretary, Nigerians reacted in different ways; while some applauded her for speaking out, others asked her to go and seek answers from her father.

After her mother’s speech yesterday, Zahra took to her Instagram page to reply some of the question posted by Nigerians.

The President’s daughter wrote, “I was insulted a lot about the hospital thing and I have to tell you that I laughed at a lot of them and was really sad at a lot of them because it really made me understand that a lot of Nigerians are not as educated as I thought.

“Many people were saying that I should ask my father, I should tell him. The thing is that many people are appointed at different stages and they make sure that whatever they are in charge of works out well and they monitor properly.

“So, the president can’t be at every point. He can’t be monitoring everyone’s post. It is impossible. It is literally impossible. So there are some things happening now to help with the state house hospital.”
