Between them (old & new members) they controls 60% of world commodity supply & human capital, I am talking of oil, food, minerals, rare earth metals. Also they have massive population & land mass. If they can cause the world Market to conduct trade in these commodities outside the dollars, it will be a huge blow to the dollar system, many countries will not see the need to source for dollars for trade, thus, a reduction in their dollar reserve. Something is wrong with ECOWAS, how can they place sanctions on an already impoverished country just at your borders, if wave of migration begin to flood through those unprotected borders into your country can you manage it? You're perfectly aware how corrupt law enforcement is in this part of the world, they will take advantage of this border situation and start smuggling arms & people across this borders which will ultimately defeat the purpose. Moreso, what exactly do they want to achieve with all the sanctions & embargo? North Korea & Cuba have been sanctioned for more than 50yrs yet no change in leadership. Why do our leaders choose actions that goes against the interest of the entire region? |

Do you know that if a major catastrophic event should wipe out all of Europe, Asia & America, all the technologies we have today will be lost! I mean technologies like space travel, build cruise ship, semiconductor & micro chip, nuclear plant, the internet/cloud storage and advance weapon systems; the knowledge of how to reproduce this things will all be lost to history. If similar riot where to happen in a developing country not aligned to the west, this would have been the actions taken 1) western media will tag the protest a demonstration for freedom & democracy. 2) western government will arm the protesters to further cause mayhem 3) when the countries government decides to use force to squash the protest, the global west together with her media will tag it oppression by an authoritarian government. 4) A resolution will be wiped up in Washington and Brussels to place sanctions on the government. 5) A redline will be drawn by the west claiming that if the government shot at civilian then western powers will intervene. Soon after, western media will carry a report about government forces shooting at civilian. 6) A no fly zone will be instituted over the country, western forces will be sent to enforce this. 7) this western forces (usually NATO) will start bombing military installations all over the country in the guise of protecting civilian.  A regime change will follow; either the government is forced to leave power or be killed. 9) after the government is disposed, the west will install a puppet regime that will open the country to Western businesses and investors. We saw this play out in Iraq and Libya,and was attempted in Venezuela and Syria (before the Russians intervene to save those government). Summary of this epistle - trust the west at your own peril. Russia, in anticipation of this eventuality have only committed 10% of their air force, navy & less than 150,000 men for this operation. Russia has scaled up production of artillery shell from 1000000 in a month to 2m. Infact, Russia has defiled the expectation of the west so far and even it's own expectations. They where able to do this because, apart from the collective west, the rest of the world was on their side. Nobody is buying into western narrative anymore. When the comedian, sitting beside biden during the last G7 meeting was asked about the fall of bakhmut, you could literally see the regret and resignation on his face. I am sure he felt mislead and used by the west especially when they have blatantly refuse to put NATO soldiers on the ground. This has been a devastating war of attrition waged against Russia by the west using the life of Ukrainians. It is or record that since the start of this war, 10million Ukrainian has fled the country. Majority went west to Poland causing a serious refugees crisis in that country. Of the lot that remained, more than 300000 has been slaughtered in battle. An entire city has been destroyed and territories lost to the invaders. Their major general luhzyny was seriously wounded in Kyiv bombing. It has all gone horribly wrong for Ukrainian without anything to show for the sacrifice. The comedian has abandon Kyiv since the assassination attempt on Putin, eventually he will flee the country to a cosy life in Florida where he has a home. What a total waste of life and resources on a conflict that could have been settled if the negotiation was not scuttled by Boris Johnson 2month into the conflict. 3 Likes |

It is true this government made alot of promises that they couldn't keep and carried out several policies that where counterproductive. But the three major cause of this inflation are 1) fraudulent COVID 19 & the foolish lockdown. Time has shown that we where just screwed over by this people. Locking down the economy was a bad idea and it lead to high deficit spending by the government. [b]2) [/b]United States federal reserve policy of printing excessive money during the lockdown and exporting the debt by raising interest rate. This is possible because the dollar is the reserve currency of the world & that's why de-dollarisation is been championed [b]3) [/b]the war of attrition going on in Ukraine. Sapele is very similar. In the 90s we had eternit, flour mill, ATP, BATA, mayflower, power generating company, a mini seaport, cinema at Olympia, athletic club with a standard golf course and several others. But today, none of that exist. The only company there is seplat(and there are indications that the intend to move operational base away). But how did Igbo interfere in Lagos politics? Did dey contest any political position? I thought the only thing they did was to come out and vote which is there civic right or did I miss something?. Are we saying it's now a crime for someone to vote in there area of residence? Is it only the Igbos that voted against the ruling party in Lagos? I do not like the direction this is going, initially I thought it was the usual political banters that will disappear after election but boy was I wrong. We have seen this before, prior to 1967 the air around the country was thick with this kind of caustic sentiment that eventually led to the death of more than 3million Nigerians. Is history about to repeat itself or are men about to repeat history? This is dangerous, it should stop. Everyone who loves peace and prosperity should make the concious decision to desist for hateful statement that serves no purpose but temptation. Let everyone go about his business with decency and tranquility. Please let us do everything in our power to avoid conflict. Hmmm, this very election has expose the rotten underbelly of the average Nigeria. Politicians have their objective which is to win election and advance their self-interest and to achieve this, they employ any means necessary such as division through tribal sentiment. But for the average Nigeria, what is really their objective? What exactly do they seek to achieve with this deep rooted ethnic distrust? Does it advance their career or ambition? Does it enhance their life in anyway? What is really the endgame here? In the pursuit of happiness, what those tribal sentiment and distrust contribute? For the politicians, I can understand but for the ordinary citizens, it's just buffoonery. |

But please, be realistic with your expectations, your cannot expect to Learn R, Python and SQl all in one month. Give your self time to master the syntax of each language. Poverty and Religion In the parable of the talent (Matthew 25:14-30), the distribution of the talents was diverse; some received more than others. This is a fact not an evil; Equality is not a godly concept, equity is. Interestingly, in the parable, the person who is chastised is the one who refused to put his talents to productive purpose and ironically, it happens to be the one with the least talent. What is this telling us? 1) Part of the drama and risk of human life is that we must learn how to produce a sufficiency and an abundance of what we need. 2) Wealth those not exist, talent those. Wealth is created using talent, work and discipline. 3)Not every idea, work or technique produces abundance or wealth. There is this vibe I get from some religious folks; it is as if the believe poverty is noble and wealth is sin. They come up with every crafty invention to justify the existence of poverty and to denigrate wealth creation as if anything is wrong with it. Maybe this is so because to some, poverty becomes the last refuge of meaning in their world already devoid of any form of purpose. That why you hear many say with delight, “I work for the poor” what those that even mean? A consequence of this is that the poor are hardly seen as lacking good initiative, or good judgment, or the will for ordinary hard work, but rather as the legitimation of organization for service, a service that only seek to give fish and bread and hardly tries to teaching on how to fish and bake. Another wrong is tell people that the reason the rich are rich is because of destiny or that they are involve in a great crime, or that the engage in ritual sacrifice to the devil or that it is because of their prayers and donation in God. Instead teach them that the rich are rich rather because they know how to be productive, because they have the discipline, values, energies, opportunities, talents, and desires to be some-thing other than poor. And the best chance the poor have in escaping their poverty is the rich. Again, the last thing the poor need is a religion or an ethic that suggests to them that their poverty is due to the limitation of world resources, or to the moral failure of others or even the on foreseen hand of a deity. Work produced wealth, wealth had to be spent for beauty or charity or more capital, if nobody has anything, nothing can be freely given up and if nothing can be given up, charity, an element of religious sacrifice becomes meaningless. Then we all we exist in collective misery. Moreover, if we have nothing, we cannot reveal our character in the way we use our wealth and goods. Again, It is most contemptuous to tell the poor who want to get rid of his poverty that it’s is all right to be where they are. Godliness and contentment must be a voluntary act and you can only be content in what you have acquired/achieved. No man is contented with nothing. The truth is that the actual poor are only interested in those who have learnt how not to be poor. Those who volunteered (some actually do) to be poor should know this. Poverty is meaningless if not volunteered. In fact, the concept of religious poverty as practice by some monk is to show that worldly goods, however defined or accumulated, are not by themselves adequate to satisfy the human spirit. After all, man shall not live by bread alone. Although poverty might indicate a sacrifice of what otherwise might be, it can also mean a failure to learn how to improve the world. It is true that not every system, ideas or endeavor will produce wealth; nevertheless, what is most needed is an accurate understanding of how wealth came to be, that abundance at its best is a natural result of man's relationship to the world when he uses his mind and his hand and it is good that these come about. Having said this, what everyone should keep in mind is that the virtuous are not necessarily the rich or the poor, but those who, rich or poor, have chosen the right things in their lives.
