Maga fall, guy man chop. Nigerian citizens are not to blame for the very common habit of scamming and defrauding others associated with Nigerians. Let me tell you why. A human being by default has the tendency to commit crime or engage in any dishonest activity. Even in the advanced world, e.g US, Canada or Europe, they have citizens who are equally looking to be dishonest as seen in Nigeria. But do you know why it seem like these other countries have less corruption or their citizens are not looking to rip or defraud you? Its because their government is responsible and their laws work. Living in these countries means you have to adapt to the system created by the government or else, you will face the repercussions and your life become miserable. Some of the repercussions for committing crimes, not obeying laws or defrauding others can make you unable to get job, or even spending the rest of your life in prison. Hence most of their citizens have to fall in place obeying their laws. On the other hand, their government is responsible making sure tax collected are used to provide basic amenities to the citizens. Hence majority of the citizens do not see the need to take to crime when they have jobs, earn living wage, have a working Healthcare system, have a working pension system, job security etc. But here in Nigeria the reverse is the case. Nigerians are not bad people but the government simply failed to provide the leadership they were voted to provide. |

You want to talk about history of Lagos and you are quoting a book written in 1913 by Yoruba Revisionists. Like seriously And some of you dont even go near that part that talks about Aworis paying tax to the Benins. One of the many truths that prevails but you cant accept it. 26 Likes 1 Share |

Difrent: I may not be among those doing diapers abroad, but i am very sure those doing it are better than you or anyone in your miserable family. Hence your bitterness towards them. Those doing care jobs are abroad will feed , cloth and house you and your entire generation without a blink and they will do it while living their best lives. And lastly its obvious no one in your family have ever been deemed qualified to even get a visa to travel abroad. Those who are given visa are carefully selected through a rigorous process and you clearly do not meet those prerequisites. Keep wailing and hating them while they live better lives than you. |

Difrent: Warped opinion that triggered you and you resorted to personal insults rather than a counter with a convincing rebuttal. They say a hungry man is an angry man hence i really understand why you cant do without insults. Those who are ruling over you and looting your commonwealth send their families abroad to school, live and work here. Are they also enslaving themselves? If you think coming abroad to school, work and live is enslavement, choose your enslavement wisely. By the way, how is the shit hole today? |

Difrent:It doesn't cost me anything to give you the insult in kind but that would be a waste of insult. Your emotional outbursts already says it all about how Nigeria has happened to you. You can continue to be in delusion that everyone who leaves Nigeria has gone to change pampers abroad or do some menial jobs. Its just your myopic way of seeing things. And for the last part Nigeria is a shit hole and a failed country. However that makes you feel, go ahead and face reality. 1 Like |

Difrent: While in Nigeria i paid taxes on my business every year as required by the government. But guess what, its always multiple taxation and you have to pay indirectly through other means because of the corruption in government. For your last paragraph, thats a very myopic view to say Nigerians dont want to pay but they want good things. Every country has citizens who will not willingly pay their taxes or even pay for services they enjoy. Its a human default thing. But you want to know why othet countries succeed in making sure everyone pays? Because the government develops a working system that ensures its either you pay or you are left out of the system. Being left out of the system means, you cant get a job, no healthcare for you, you cant even do anything. So everyone ends up doing the right thing and the system works. So its the responsibility of the government to ensure everyone that's eligible to pay tax , pays. So the talk that Nigeria dont want to pay is rubbish talk. Create a working system and everything will fall in place. |

Difrent: For the fact that the current state of Nigeria is irredeemable makes it worthwhile to endure whatever obstacles/problems those who travel abroad will face. And whatever problems those abroad face, it is nothing compared to the outcome of irresponsible leadership that is now endemic to Nigeria. Most Nigerians that travel abroad wont blink twice if given the opportunity to dispose the green passport for the passport of their adopted countries. And many have it as one of their goals to become citizens of their adopted countries. It doesn't even mean you can't stroll into the shit hole called Nigeria after disposing her passport. The government of Nigeria even see it as a service that a foreigner is coming into the country through the airport. Afterall thousands of miscreants and rifrafs enter the shit hole illegally everyday and the government has no means of stopping them. They even go ahead and get the Nigeria's ID , work without permission, and can even vote in elections. That's the definition of a shit hole when the government cant protect the little resources meant for the citizens. 1 Like |

Difrent: Those changing pampers and doing cleaning abroad have a better life than over 90% of those living in Nigeria. They enjoy constant electricity, good roads, job security, good heakth system, a working pension system and above all, their life is not as cheap as a piece of bread anymore like it was in Nigeria. Those who do this cleaning job or change old papa pampers earn more by far than professors and medical doctors in Nigeria. The government takes taxes and the citizens can see and enjoy the benefits of taxes they pay. A working system isnt cheap. It is better to be changing pampers abroad and earn a living wage which will enable you to live life comfortably than be in an office in Nigeria and be earning peanuts. 3 Likes |

Difrent:sorry, i need you to understand that those who left Nigeria didn't leave because they hate their country. We left because we have only one life to live and cannot just waste our life away on hopelessness. Living in a country where things work is supposed to be a right and not privilege. The Nigerian government/leadership made it become a privilege. And we will continue to enlighten those in Nigeria about our experience so people who have been rendered hopeless by the ineptitude and irresponsibility of Nigerian government can find a better life elsewhere. 3 Likes |

Difrent: I am not underestimating Nigeria. By all standards of human life, Nigeria failed. Only Nigerians who have been privileged to leave Nigeria will understand what i am saying. Once you leave Nigeria to US, Europe, or even some not too popular countries, then you begin to see the big gap in the way humans live and how responsible leadership works. Nigeria is not even close...Most of these countries are light years ahead. The mass migration out of Nigeria is not due to the fact that people migrate, the question is what's driving almost everyone out? If other countries open their borders to us, over 70% of our population will leave including our old population. All indices of a failed country are already ticked when it comes to Nigeria, only time will tell when the bubble will burst. 2 Likes |

Bluffly: There is the tendency for the default human to not do the right thing. Man is born crude! Even in Western countries, their citizens also have this default crude behavior but guess what addresses it? Laws and responsibility. I currently live abroad and i have seen things. The major difference between Nigeria and othet countries we are running to is the government. These countries have citizens who misbehave too. But what keeps majority of their citizens well-behaved is a working-sysyem. 11 Likes 1 Share |

If Nigeria as country was functioning at even let's say 30% capacity, we won't have our citizens use their life savings to go slave for the whiteman abroad. Nigeria's failure is the reason for all these insults and shakara. Still too bad that even those in Nigeria dont realize why Nigeria will never be a working country with the current setup. 22 Likes |

Secondly, price of major ALTs are fairly redundant now due BTC dominance. BTC needs to calm for liquidity to move to ALTs. 1 Like |
