My advice is to first of all learn the Madarin language, get acquanuted with their legal system. You mught want to study law in my opinion.

Assuming you cannot afford to study law, then go on to employ the services of a local advocate.

Still processing your advice with regards to the long time involved in actualising all that.

I know he commited the crime, yes it is wrong and am sure his now facing the consequences of his action which will make him a better person.

My brother now doesnt want to hear drugs neither my husband so you see the jail term corrected their senses.

I know is hard for us to cope at times like this but just hold on.

Well, if that's your brother, I'm afraid there's nothing anyone can do now because from what I've been told, he's been moved to Shandong Province where the crime he was alleged to have participated in was committed. Also, his girlfriend who unfortunately was arrested with him has since been released and subsequently deported to the Philippines. All you and your family can do now is to pray for your brother to be in good health during his time in the slammer; and that he gets a light sentence.

That is what it is, China is the worst place on earth to get involved with drugs trafficking or fraudulent acts, my inlaw saw hell in China, he was warned by several family members including myself to desist from fraud, I, suggested then to him to be doing buying and selling from China to Nigeria, he ignored all our counsels to him, l was doing my postgraduate studies then in the West, he even laughed at me that instead of doing business, I am pursuing education , but when they arrested him, we couldn't reach him, he spent 5 years in the prison in Beijing, if your brothers case is just immigration issues, he will not spend longer times in jail before deportation but if it is fraudulent acts, it is a different story entirely, China is tough on criminals

believe it or not. your brother probarbly Already Accepted his reality. i ve done time in foreign countries.. They put you through their justice system and that's it. no please, no mercy. if you are innocent they would free you. if you are guilty, you do your time. simple! especially in china were the court hearings are ussually done in Mandarin (chinese language) you will not even understand the rulings or court decisions, your lawyer will be a chinese too. Everything in court is done and written in chinese. Now, imagine that.
Their laws must be upheld, to deter others like your brother

There is no predictions here, It is what it is. there are other hundreds Nigerians in various chinese prisons He is no different. Should they just release your brother only? the sooner you face the reality the better.

My own time my brother said if you dont hear from me dont worry know i am alive, if anyone call you dont pay dime,only when you pay is when i tell them our password, which is when did mum die November 16th 2005, if you get that information plus your son name is Jayden then know the caller is from me anything else dont pay dime,allow them kill me if they want.

Sorry about predicament, your love for your brother is making you go through emotional pains and it is preventing you from being objective and seeing the situation clearly.

The above post sheds light on your story.
Obviously, he defrauded local Chinese and got arrested.
He would be tried and sentenced to Prison.

Can you do anything about the Court process? No.
Can even Abike Dabiri do anything about it? No.

So, why kill your emotions over something you cant change? (I know blood is thicker than water, as they say!)
All these energy and resources you are wasting, are better spent on your Parents to keep them not tooworried.
The best you can do, is pray for him to meet 'nice immates' in that prison, to be safe and for his safe return home, once he finished his sentence. Take heart and stay calm/focused

And l hope this serves as a warning (yes, for the upteenth time), to EVERYONE planning to travel abroad.
- No Visa, Not Travel. Dont go through illegal routes like Libya, hundreds of Nigerians are dying very terrible deaths in Libya, on a daily basis.
- Dont over-stay your Visa! This exposes you to all sorts of maltreatment and racism and you dont have any legal recourse for redress
- If you go to another man's country, RESPECT THEIR LAWS! Everywhere is not like Nigeria where people misbehave and get away with it. Dont start forming "we own the place together" ...like you do in Lagos. Everyone is not as nice and accommodating as the people of the South West.
- Dont be desperate to make quick money! A lot of people, if they knew that they will make a lot of money later in life, they would not have engaged in all the criminal and risky activities they are doing. Yoru time will come, be patient and steadfast.
- Always ask your friends and family, WHERE THE MONEY THEY ARE SPENDING COMES FROM! If it is illegal, shun them, dont glorify them, dont give them chieftancy title, dont praise-sing them.

There are hundreds of Nigerians in various Chinese prisons languishing, Some have died and since buried as a result of the poor condition of chinese prisons and beating by the prison officers.


Nigerians/Africans should stay away from China, unless they are going there as tourists or to purchase goods..

For those suggesting he should pray, praying would be a total waste of time and energy. he will be doing a long jail term 15 to 20 years, that's if he is still alive. The other nigerians there will not and can't do anything for him as they are Afraid of getting Arrested too for living illegaly in china. China is worst for human rights, they jail, execute their own people. let alone a Nigerian fraudster.

I'd advise you contact the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or try and engage Abike Dabiri on Twitter or Instagram.

If your brother committed a crime, he will be tried and convicted. The best you can get him is a good legal representative from the person and ministry mentioned. The Chinese embassy here won't help you much.
