The students should read the warning on the trailer in picture 9 and get out of there. "God is Near". It takes only one insane mobpol to pull the trigger. |
Mr presidency spokesman, please define what you mean by "ordinary" Nigerians. I am forced to conclude you and your boss think you are "extra ordinary"? Everfrank: |
The girls need serious re-orientation. I hope they are not on an undercover mission for their abductors. A lot of time has passed and no one really knows what is on their minds again. |

I have continued to call Spectranet's call center but the machine always puts me on hold till it cuts off. In my years of experiencing various customer service, spectranet's is the worst ever. One week and unable to make a direct complaint to my ISP. |

they are deducting cos my data balance reduces equivalent to the amount of data quoted in the night bank every morning. i spoke with one of their distributors who gave this excuse that i have to switch off the device at 1am and put it back on for the mifi to access free night browsing. I think that is a real sorry excuse cos they don't ask me to switch off my device before disconnecting my data service once it expires or data is exhausted. please tell me about ntel. LordReed: |

I HAVE BEEN MEANING TO REPLY THIS BUT ITS BEEN A HECTIC MONDAY. THERE WAS A TIME MY TODDLER HAD A PEANUT STUCK IN HIS NOSE. WE TRIED ALL MEANS TO GET IT OUT BUT WAS NOT SUCCESSFUL. WE WERE ALREADY AT THE HOSPITAL SEEING A DOCTOR WHEN I SAW A VIDEO ON YOUTUBE. THOUGH THIS WAS THE NOSE OF A TODDLER WHO COULD NOT BLOW THE PEA OUT HIMSELF, THE SAME TRICK COULD WORK IN THE CASE OF YOUR EAR SINCE ITS IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOU TO BLOW YOUR EAR OUT. THE VIDEO ASKED US TO COVER HIS EARS AND BLOW AIR THROUGH HIS MOUTH. IN ONE BLOW THE PEANUT FLEW OUT BECAUSE OF THE AIR PRESSURE FROM MY MOUTH. I MEAN WE WERE ELATED. AN APPOINTMENT HAD ALREADY BEEN BOOKED WITH A SPECIALIST. THE DOCTOR WAS ALREADY TALKING SURGERY AND FIGURES. IN YOUR CASE, YOU WILL PROBABLY NEED SOMEONE CLOSE TO HELP. BLOCK YOUR NOSE AND HAVE THE PERSON BLOW HEAVY IN YOUR MOUTH. HOPELFULLY AIR PRESSURE WILL RUSH OUT THROUGH YOUR EARS AND DRIVE THE INSECT OUT. tegak10: |
I am using a spectranet mifi and i am on a monthly 20Gig plan with free browsing between 1am and 7am promised as part of the package. I noticed recently that my data expires so fast despite the fact that i always do my heavy downloads during the free unlimited period. I tried reaching spectranet on their customer care number but no one ever picks. I would hold on for minutes after following directions by the automated voice until the line cuts. Yesterday, i logged on to the self care portal and i was able to view my most recent 24 hours history of which i have attached the screen shot below. You can see in the "banks deducted" column that almost 3gig of data was deducted in just one night of supposed free browsing, tagged night data bank. I consider this a big rip off by spectranet. Why charge for data during hours you promised would be free?

Mr SeaHawk the Brain. Come and lend me small now. Even people who kill plead temporary insanity in the same America and get far less sentence. You are asking what he is angry at. Someone brings what he considers an abomination into a house owned and paid for by him on a bed provided by him and you still ask what he is angry at. The gay boy had no right doing that in another man's home. The man had every right to be angry but of course could have handled it better like walking them out naked on the streets. Seahawk: |
The guy deserves what he got? 40 solid years? Well.... Gays in Nigeria deserve what they get too. 15 years. They should stop screaming and crying wolf when they get caught and served. linearity: |

El rufai..come again. You were not part of which problem? Were you not a top PDP member of Obasanjo's goverment for 8 years out of PDP's 16 years? emamos: |
On one hand, American government says Nigeria is harsh and barbaric for serving gays who get married a punishment of 15 years imprisonment. On the other hand, a straight man who poured hot water on his gay step son and the partner out of anger and shock has been sentenced to 40 years imprisonment by the same Government. Who is HARSH? We know this is a grand design to put fear into the minds of people not to freely express their voice against gays or same sex marriage. But we won't be clamped down...#teamnohomo |
No campaign for the rights of the man who named his dog buhari by all these human rights NGOs. If it was an under-aged girl having sex and being publicly disciplined by a pastor now, they will carry the matter for head. What a corrupt generation. |
Naija music rocks! |
When it comes to making hits out of new songs in Nigeria, we cannot take away the major part played by the Nigerian DJ. The Naija DJ plays the role of sampling hundreds of songs, deciding the ones that are most likely to become hits and then playing them constantly till the general public catches on. The Nigerian DJs are everywhere you go. They are on radio, on the internet, at the street corner and at concerts and parties. This role played by Naija DJs cannot be over emphasized. They have helped to make stars of otherwise unknown artistes like Phyno, Adekunle Gold, Mayorkun, Wizkid, Olamide, DBanj, Reekado Banks, Sheyi Shay and many others. The Nigerian DJ lacks a platform to be heard. Many of them are graduates who own blogs and sites where they express their perspective on society. naija music and word play |
you have a point Chris. KissChris: |
1. BABY(OMO)- If artistes were paid for frequently using this word, most naija artistes will be millionaires. However, Flavour would stand out from the lots as a Billionaire. Is there any song done by Flavour without Baby in it? I have not heard that song. And the way he calls it with his igbo diction. Check out Flavour’s first verse on Ada Ada. “Have you seen my beautiful BABYYYY, Have you seen my tomato BABYYYYY oooo, BABY sofely coolu temper, BABY na sugar sugar.” So, am I correct or what? The Yoruba speaking artistes are also guilty of same, chanting omo you too much, awon omo wobe. Omo is the Yoruba meaning of child or baby for the non Yoruba speaking readers. Listen to Korede Bello, Olamide for a clearer perspective. "Omo" always come up in their lines. 2. OH NA, NA NA NA- A naija pop song without this words in the outro adlib and chorus adlib is not complete. Unless the artiste did not adlib. Listen to songs from Tekno, P square, Dammy Krane, Bracket and you will figure. They must na na na. 3. HEY, YAY, HAY HAY, OH HAY – These set of words have turned several hits in Nigeria. Ask Kiss Daniel while he is having a “Good time”. Hey Hey Hey hey Hey Heyyyyyyyyyy…..Ha Ha Ha Ha Hayyyyyyyyyyyy. Those were practically his chorus on Good time. I wonder why that was not the title. 4. CARRY- Why you carry fire fire for your head o- Mayowa. I get girl wey carry big big baka, Erima carry body, She carry She carry back o nanana- Wizkid, are some of the recent commonly used adaptation of carry. Not to forget olamide who was talking about a certain person skilled at carrying in front and back. “ 4 examples don waka, I still dey carry go. On to the next one….oh na na na.” 5. MAMA- Mama is a word used as a synonym for mother. However in the Naija music industry, the meaning has been changed . “Talk to me o mama”, “Sexy mama, oya ke jo mama”. Some artistes cannot write a verse without mama in it. Could it be they missed a mother’s love in their childhood? Kiss daniels and Wizkid, oya answer. In over 12 years of DJing which began as a hobby for making extra cash during my youth service in Katsina and then translating to a passionate career that has seen me working for various clients, one major concern that unifies most clients is COST(How much will I pay?). From the corporate giants to new parents or those getting married , every client wants the best monetary bargain possible for their party. Some would even trade quality sound and experience for inexperienced DJs and sound engineers, provided that will reduce the cost of DJ service. The end of such short sighted decisions is always hurts and disappointments to the clients. I will share with readers here what to look out for when negotiating cost of DJ OR LIVE BAND for weddings, birthdays, naming, picnic, seminars, retreats, conference, promotions and more. This article is written using clients in Lagos and Nigeria as case study. Maybe you are the one having a party or you have been delegated to organize vendors for an event. You are pressed on all sides with making the right choice of vendors that will make the day grand. You also may or may not be working with a budget. Are you considering a celebrity DJ? A known name in entertainment circles that probably works with a music label? For the purpose of this article, I will be using a wedding as our sample event. If your concerns are about the hype and the status more than the professional art of DJing, then you can go for a celebrity DJ. Celebrity DJs charge as high as 1.5 million naira and not less than 450,000 naira. Some celebrity DJs charge up to 5 million naira depending on the gig especially if it is a corporate client and if he is the one providing sound too. Be sure that he may end up making a guest appearance only as he has several DJs he has trained and often play at his events. So you want to ask yourself, why am I doing this? Do I want a great job or a DJ’s name? If you want a name, then we have several celebrity DJs we can provide for you at mynaijadj. If you want a great job and care less about the name, then the next costing for DJ services at weddings and other event is for you. An industry standard professional DJ is someone who has provided DJ services for hundreds of clients with a 90% and above satisfaction rating. He may not be featuring in music videos and dropping singles with tuface and davidO, but he knows his job and delivers efficiently. He has a great knowledge of sound and music and will leave your guests satisfied. The resident DJ at mynaijadj who happens to be writing this article falls in this category. Unlike celerity DJs who have fixed costs that are high and certain to cover their overheads, I am more flexible with prices hence the need to ask the client some questions before answering the popular question of “cost”. 1. Where is the location of the wedding or event?(This will determine commuting/transportation cost as we will be moving equipment and people) 2. What is the hall size and how many guests are expected? (This will help us know the quantity and specifications of equipment and tools to bring which will also determine required manpower. This is a major cost determinant for events and weddings) 3. What is the duration of the wedding or event? ( Finally the duration will inform when we set up and when we pack up as well as the service time in between) When I have the answers to this question, I am able to give a very “user friendly” price. You really should not have to cut a neck for a good DJ or live band. But you should not be expecting a ridiculously low cost too. Anyone who employs sound and DJ services at a ridiculous price would get ridiculous services from such service providers. As a rule of thumb, I always say NO if a client is asking for a cost that will not work with the demands of the job. It is never too early to start planning for your Wedding or any other upcoming event. Source : http://mynaijadj.com/wedding-dj-cost-in-lagos-and-nigeria/
