Can we remember how fast our president backtracked when his masas were against his decision to withdraw Nigeria from all FIFA competitions. Now the same man is forming pride and strong head against his peopl
e's popular opinion. I pray for you presido that humility gets the best of you and allow you reverse this policy temporarily.Please don't allow naija burn.
Your citizens are as good as the masas you obey.We can make our economy work as a people without foreign bodies imposing policies on us through your Goverment sir.

Nigerians are opposed to the "timing" of subsidy removal and not the concept of removing subsidy itself. What are the major reasons?

1. Lack of constant power supply to power businesses, industries and homes. At the present cost of fuel, the high rates of powering industries have made many of the multinational manufacturers to shift their head office to the same GHANA which of course boast of constant power. And then you want to remove subsidy in that kind of situation. The hardship will cause chaos beyond imagination. It will be a catalyst for reaction by the Masses. someone is about to cut off his own head. Impeachment/forced resignation is not far off. let he who has ears hear the word of the Lord. provide constant electricity before daring such.

2. The inability of Nigeria to refine crude oil at the maximum capacity resulting in importation of about 80% of our daily petrol needs. if we are going to remove subsidy and we are importing that amount of petrol, who rally determines the pricing? If the pricing is determined by the same cabal government claim are responsible for our present situation, what is the guarantee that they would not ignore the sufferings and shoot price into the sky cause of high demand in Nigeria? If we are going to remove subsidy, lets fix the existing refineries to refine at maximum capacity. even if we don't build new ones yet.

3. Lack of convenient alternative transportation means and bad road network. Let's have rail, let's have low energy cars and buses. let's have good roads.

THIS GOVERNMENT SHOULD STOP PROMISING US GOOD THINGS TO COME FROM FUEL SUBSIDY REMOVAL. THEY SHOULD USE OUR EXISTING REVENUE TO PROVIDE THE THREE THINGS LISTED ABOVE. THEN WE WILL TRUST THEM TO REMOVE SUBSIDY. WE WON'T NEED TO USE FUEL EVERYDAY OF OUR LIFE.
I CAN BET THERE ARE MANY GHANIANS WHO HAVE NOT TOUCHED FUEL IN 5/10 YEARS. YET THE JONATHANEESE ARE QUICK TO COMPARE GHANA AND OTHER COUNTRIES TO NIGERIA WHERE BUSINESSES CANNOT RUN WITHOUT FUEL AND GENERATOR.

What is it with the new concept by TV stations? They ask viewers to sms their name with that of whoever they are dating and they predict the outcome of the relationship which is shown on TV,mostly during music shows. The catch is sms is not free. Sounds like pure exploitation to me. How do you know how a couple will do from their names e.g text sam and sarah to 32245. For Christ sake, there are loads of sam and sarah in a relationship. what y'all think?

I was watching AIT today and Hip Tv was showing. The category being promoted was revelation of the year or so and i was wondering why the same people that won next rated in the past years are now the ones "NOMINATED"(by who and how) for the awards. Next rated?Revelation? different names, same game, same nominees. And the most annoying was seeing them list kel as a nominee for rap album of the year. What? which album? How did they come about that decision? the album with girl you are so fine where she was rapping like a 9 year old. Pleeeeeeeeeasssssseeeeeeee!!!!!!! Who knows that album in kano? Is Hiphop awards not meant to be a national thing? for the revelation thing, i expected to see new faces or at least old faces with first time hit song. kel's only track that has been okay is wa wa alright and she got nominated with that track last year. why is she up for best rap album and the same olldddd video is being played. it's like once you can have clarence or DJ tee shoot your video, you are up for nomination. and the list goes on cartier, mo chedah. of course a few well deserved nominations like Dagrin(RIP).

Does anyone remember the glorious day of making kites with nylon bags, newspapers and brooms. Can you share your favorite kite experience. And why on earth are the kids of today not interested in such outdoor games? It was mad fun. I grew up in Ogba, Lagos state. I remember having to run backwards while releasing the kite in the air. And then we would make tails of nylon paper and watch our creation soar in the sky. Nowadays kids just watch cartoons and play PS.
