The main question is why was it banned or why did kenny st caution wande on Twitter? Same answer, cause what goes into a man can form a man's character and children watch TV even when parents are not there. So why put porn on local TV in the name of music video. The children cannot make right decisions yet so at that stage, its the job of parents, adults, organisations and govt to protect and guide them. And if getting such music videos off free to air local stations is what it takes, then so be it. Nobody is after Wande's success, rather he is the one who is selfish like many other artistes and young Nigerians on this forum who only care about money and fame. For many people that have argued in favour of Wande here,it all comes down to the money. |
For too long, laziness seem to have taken over our concerts and live music shows in Nigeria with many artistes including some on the A list lip syncing to their cds and the typical beat craze fans getting excited over little after paying much to hear the same thing they hear on the CDs (no difference). I will not be wrong to say most of today’s shows in Nigeria are nothing but swag and dance performance by the artistes leaving out the music which is the real reason why they are celebrated. At best many artistes shout and adlib on top of the track as it is played. Some don’t switch on the microphone at all during the performance. I have watched a highly rated rap artiste gasp for breath on stage after lip syncing to 4 songs being played from his album. What then would he do if he was to perform live for hours non stop like King Sunny Ade, Ayinde Barrister , Ebenezer Obey, Fela, Ray Charles or the legendary Michael Jackson,? Faint? Live performance is supposed to .....read more here http://nobeeffect.com/toasted-or-busted |
God bless Mavin Records with MOre HITS. Amen. |
I just got back from doing a job in Kaduna on Sunday. The city was so peaceful and the people very caring and friendly but you could sense the uneasiness everywhere. The church i attended on Sokoto road had three soldiers check point on the street and members of the church were from various tribes in Nigeria. I was so worried about all these people cause they were so nice and happy. They have built their lives for decades in this city. Why should someone suddenly start making life unbearable for them. It is so unfair. And some people on these site should watch what they write cause if you are not on ground at the place, you cannot feel the gravity of the situation. If we allow it consume the North because we are not living there, someday it will be our turn. So let's join hands and find a solution to this menace. North, South, East, West, Muslims, Christians. stop the hate cause that's what the sponsors want. |
"an occupant who blames everyone but himself for his zero performance" And the winner is El Rufai.LOL. See killer punch. |
Dento was a Nigerian Mr Bean in his own way. I remember his walking style which was so funny. His click was Lukuluku Bantanshi, epo kin kin. Look for "aje ni iya mi" pt 1 to 3 to enjoy some of his acting. Or better still "amin orun" where he was Sola Fosudo's gateman. RIP Mr DentoM |

It is what it is. A very interesting perspective of a medical doctor/producer on an interesting song. |
Davido’s “Dami Duro” mega hit is a song that needs no introduction, as it swept and continues to sweep the clubs and radio. But a closer look at the sonics and engineering sensibilities of the track leaves me actually wanting to stop the song from playing on my studio monitors altogether, and stop his engineers from entering any serious studio altogether Production The production is a good pop/techno production and this is where the track really scores high. it’s got a good mixture of afro beat, drums and pop synths, nice background pad sound, good guitar lick at 2:30 reminiscent of Ebenezer Obey, as well as a nice introduction of live elements at 2:57. In addition, there is good instrument multi-layering and use of percussion, and it is clear that the producer (Davido) pretty much throws it all in, synths, kicks, pop and afrobeat progressions, as well as acoustic live elements to try and see which ones thrill the listener. It’s really a lot more busy than the average listener will actually be aware of while sweating it out on the dance floor. Mixing This is where everything begins to get really shaky. JUST THOT THIS WOULD BE A BETTER SOUNDING ABBREVIATION FOR THE SCHOOL IF THE DICTATOR AT ASO ROCK REFUSES TO BULGE. AND MAUNY SOUNDS MONEY. COOL. OR JUST MAUNY BUT DEFINITELY NOT MAUL. HOPE THOSE WHO WILL RE BRAND THE SCHOOL WILL SEE THIS. |
@topic Are we certain those were real soldiers or boko haram men in Nigerian army uniform? Which battalion are they from and who gave the order to have them escort the fulanis? |
As far as I know,no past leader of this nation supports the timing of the Jonathan policy. Why on earth did he form an advisory committee if he would not listen to their advice? |
As usual, the Jonathan supporters deflect the real issue and paint Nigerians as lazy and not wanting progress. @whitehawk. NLC is not asking that govt should not deregulate. Therefore the issue you raised in option(a) about difficulty in deregulating other sectors is uncalled for. NLC and majority of Nigerians are only saying that we put some other things in place before deregulation e.g constant power, good roads and transportation.Nigerians are also asking that corruption should be nipped in the bud and corrupt people prosecuted. Option 1 is still the best to cool down the polity knowing that deregulation will still take off in the nearest future using a time table developed by the leaders with input from Nigerians. Many of the whites in EU and co that are thunbing up for GEJ cannot survive a day without electricty but yet Nigerians do not have electricity on a daily basis,we work hard and generate our electricity using PMS and then you shoot up the price of the same PMS overnight.if this was Europe, the citizens will be outside Aso Rock by now. |

If president Jonathan is surrounded by scheming, lying, double mouthed advisers and ministers like Emeka Wogu, then I am not surprised we are where we are. How can you be talking about democracy with the leaders of a group deciding to support your policy when the real members of the group, the real numbers that count are either at home in support of NLC or on the streets occupying Nigeria? This man has shown that the Govt is able to bring up terms of law and democracy to suit their personal goals alone.if he wants to see true democracy at work, they should start by obeying the motion passed by the House of Representatives. They are the people representing Nigerians all over.Nigerians are united against this evil done by our president to us.we are not against deregulation but the timing of it.The bullying of Nigerians by a president we loved.sad.truly sad. Emeka Wogu's quote from Sun Newspapers. “As at today, government has done a policy on subsidy which is a partner in that tripartite arrangement. Then NECA which is employer consultative association has equally supported that removal and the deregulation of policy of government on the downstream sector. So, in three out of three, it is a question of number and question of democracy and fine aspect of democracy. You know out of three, two agreeing on one issue and one is saying no. So, it means that two is majority and one must have its say. |
President Jonathan! I pray wisdom of God gets the best of you. Time is ticking. Be not a dictator for there is anger in the land against such and anything can happen. Please be wise and see the move to reverse the subsidy removal policy as a wise husband putting his house in order. Ignore the name calling and chants, they voted you, they still love you, they are only angry with you.Time is ticking. Wisdom for Presido in Jesus name. Amen. |
