The interview is not just in Abuja na. There is a location in different zones which is why we were asked to pick our preferred location. When I called flexisaf yesterday, I was told before the end of today, we will all be updated so lets just keep our fingers crossed and pray for the best.

I doubt if this interview can take place this coming week. Some people will be coming to Abuja from Calabar or Lagos or Yola or from very distant states. What if their interview dates fall on Monday or so, how will they cope without any prior notice already, even before today.

I saw the same on my profile, I decided to call the flexisaf guys and one said I have made it to the next stage, that mails would soon be sent. He however advice that I still go ahead to apply for this one with either the same or another email. I have already selected Port Harcourt for my interview. Congratulations mate!

In all these back and forth, I am interested in knowing when successful candidates would be called.

Who has information on the language classes. Will scholars take the classes in their home country (Nigeria) or in their host country (France, Germany, China).

Well guys, I do not know about others but I prefer Germany to France and China. Their Wastewater engineering research seems more robust than France and China. Schools like Kalrushe Institute of Tech., RW Aachen, Uni of Stuttgart are massive here. But it appears PTDF have a different thinking.
I will just bid my time with my fingers crossed. I always felt the French schools were less and recently they added new ones. I think M.Sc guys might just take a look again at the schools. But if you are a PhD student thinking of an Environmental based research, please let's brainstorm. What did you do? What are or were your choices? That Uni of Lyon and UPMC Environmental research doesnt seem robust. And I am not totally convinced about China.

You didnt see it because PTDF later changed the format and removed them. For the courses of interest, yeah, the options are quite limited and is appaling.

Hi I filled the form for PhD and didnt see this. Rather I was appalled I could not fill in Germany cos the schools there didnt have any course of interest. Please am I alone? Even the newly added French schools hold no promise.

You dont need to include an unpublished work. If they needed your Bsc project, they would have asked for it.

For the timing schedule, you may be wrong. The timing schedule is supposed to show stages in your education/project and the duration

for example, OCT 2018-Jan 2019: Semester 1 and so on. The timing schedule has nothing to do with your personal availability but the time it would take you to complete your education/project.

For those applying for PhD, it may go thus:
Literature review: 4months
Data collection: 3months
Data Analysis: 4 months

etc. It can also be made into a gantt chart

Yes I did upload all the documents. Without the uploaded documents you won't be able to continue.

For the timing schedule what I did was just opening a MS word new blank documents

TIMING SCHEDULE with my username on the word file

Then... Did like a plan for my availability within the year.

E.g

February - June 2018 - Training etc

JUNE - JULY 2018 - Holiday

August - September 2018 - GRE studies and exams

October 2018 - Free and available


Then I save the Ms word file and convert to PDF as all documents are required in that format.

Truth is that those Flexisaf people areconfused about the DAAD process. I called them too and they didnt have concrete responses as regarding DAAD.

Now, on the just register vs apply to DAAD, I would advise you apply as DAAD is a scholarship portal. DAAD has no business with providing admissions.

Just registering your username and password on the portal without filling and submitting the form is akin to buying jamb form but not registering for the exams because an uncle promised you admission

can't say whether this is true or not. a friend called them recently n they said we should just register that they av already given slots for Nigerian candidates. they will help secure admission for us. but I think registering might give some advantage. tho I will stick to the instructions given to my friend.

Because we are all confused about DAAD. I called the Flexi guys and they are confused too. They couldnt answer some questions and said the instruction simply says register on the DAAD portal.

However, I dont think reguistration alone cuts it. Thats just like registering on PTDF portal without submitting an application

thought they said not above 200kb not 224. For those asking about international passport and publication os a tin. Just called ptdf number. Is not compusory if u dnt hav it now. He said u can go on nd register

Hi Guys,

Good News! I just got off the phone with a contact from the scholarship help desk, their technical team are working on all the glitches, and probably before close of business today everything will be resolved and all compliant emails sent will be replied.
