Eberechi24: Well, you shouldl engage them into something that will fetch them money at the end of the day/month (that's if they are old enough) By so doing they will know the value of money and savings too. It will give you time to plan yourself. Thanks for the advice. I really appreciate. |

femijck: Lets be realistic here.....1.5M is like 6k here..... and u coming for a seminar..... ur flight will cost over 2500$ and ur hotel and expenses will be around 200k for that 10 days so how does this seminar add value to u and what u do, that u are willing to empty ur account to attend. How is this seminar so important to what u do or ur qualifications. And if someone is sponsoring ur trip to the seminar, what do they stand to gain from you attending this seminar. This is how a case officer will look at it..... So I would say ‘No’ it’s not enough. thanks for the response, I work with a NGO though, the 1.5M is my estimated budget for the conference and am also sight seeing too .I have other funds though mostly in tbills and mutual funds. |

ONNYX: Bros you have done well.
All your posts are on point.
Regarding that NLNG and its recruitment I can state categorically that while there may be a few cases of impropriety in the proces this will be very few and far apart.
I will state three cases here.
A young man working with the company who moved through the recruitment process (which lasted the better of one year)did not know anyone there. He had been wallowing in a teaching job in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State for many years. A first class Engineering product from one of the foremost public universities was recruited without any mago-mago whatsoever. His contract is still one of the most impresive ones I have ever seen. And I have seen a great many ofeers in my time.
A second person was recruited to join their maritime operations. he has been in the Merchant navy for a number of years. Recruited from Lisbon, he was brought into that job strictly on merit.
Thirdly I will have you know that just like any other serious minded company the LNG has a very knowledgeable HR unit that is charged with recruiting the very best hands for the available openings. They do this in concert with a number of recruiting firms and sometimes some headhunting companies. There is absolutely no year that the HR team does not go on a recruitment drive in Europe and America seeking the very best Nigerian students who they attempt to convince to come home to join their team.
Personally, I am of the view that the man know man phenomenon is over rated especially in the specialized industry in contrast to the public service. Exactly, am surprised after all the explanations from oga airsay, strong heads are still doubting. I will recommend all the doubting Thomas to undertake further research on the issue. |

solin: Technically no. 1.5m isn't enough though. Based on inz website. For a visit visa you need like1k dollars for a min period of 3 months or based on the number of months/weeks you will spend in NZ. Let's do the math, #500k is about 2k nz dollars and cost of flight is between 850k-1m round trip which means you are spending all you have for your trip. If you can get additional fund of 500k-1m you'd be fine. Op can also shed more insight here. Thanks for the reply, am actually staying for 10days. |

airsaylongcon: You made some very cerebral points in a number of your posts on this thread. However I'd like to clear certain of your misconceptions. I encourage you to view this with an open and unbiased mind.
First of all corruption and NLNG cannot be used in the same line. I'm not saying certain elements within that system aren't corrupt but they are a very miniscule minority. The first and most important value for the business is integrity and they DON'T joke with it. Sometime back during GEJ era their export Jetty was shut down. Why? Because Tompolo was demanding a bribe from the business under the guise of maritime whatever. With a daily target of export shipments that had to be met the company shutdown its operations rather than pay the bribe. That's a multi-million dollar business that could have easily given Tompolo the chicken change he was demanding. This is the same company that doesn't hesitate to terminate employment if there is as much as a proven age or qualification discrepancy in employee records.
In the business, one of the most feared departments is its corporate governance department. These guys do not hesitate to apply strict rules regarding their corporate governance.
To address your allegation that the recent graduates hired were untalented and highly connected people, I completely disagree with this. I know someone who has zero connections in his LG let alone to be regarded as highly connected who scaled all their rigorous screening to get an offer. When asked how he got in he attributes his success to God's favour and adequate preparation. And he says all his colleagues in one way or another had similar experiences. This person I know was on a 50k job in Ibadan. I don't know how a you can describe such persons as connected. Like someone said, If you are good, you are good.
Regarding the pay, I'm certain they aren't paying beyond international industry standard. You need to compare their pay with other Gas companies and you'd find out that its at par with gas industry standard.
The company is NOT a government company as people often wrongly assume. Yes NNPC owns shares there but they DO NOT own the company outright Truth, nothing more to add. |

However I don’t have much info on this and u can google it (I know as an apprentice here, you still get paid though not much). and also make research on farms, factories that employ seasonal workers or essentials skill accredited factories. Doesn’t have to be Auckland.
I will get info about a company in South Island for u. I know they do but I’m not sure what the criteria is, or if they employ from oversea. Then u can research better. boss am interested too. am sending you a pm right away |

I’ve seen many people abroad who paid people here to help them get divorce letter but at the end when the embassy involve will verify the divorce letter, one will be surprised most of them are fake. because they won’t find the record in the court that they claimed to have issued such divorce letter. Same is the case of kemi adeosun.
Madueke forged NYSC, she didn’t resign, she looted the nation to stupor, she ran out of the country and Heaven didn’t fall.
Many senators and Reps with fake o’levels, ND, HND, BSC and lots more go free and never resign despite they’ve been exposed.
God punish anybody who won’t let this woman have peace. She didn’t loot at least. You all are pathetic lots. Whats all this unnecessary excuse u guys peddle here on a clear case of fraud? do you know what it means handling the finance of a whole country? She shouldn't be found wanting in any aspect. Her position is to sensitive to be involved in any thing fraud. Fraud is Fraud no matter who is involved. |
