One of the schools I chosed on Friday sent me an email to send them a scanned copy of language proficiency certificate issued by my previous university proving that my undergraduate study was in English Language. The mail pointed that I should send this before 30th may, 2019.. few days away from now... I have contacted the school i graduated from (Unijos) and my application for the language certificate will be dropped in the school to the Registrar tomorrow. I pray it works .. Not all the schools have contacted applicants so chill a litle |

Hello great writers! Please I love writing, and I love to write a book that will carry a great message for this generation. Whenever I see and think of how 'gigantic' other peoples' books/write-ups are I wonder where such persons get their words and inspirations from, And it gets me ask myself the question "can I ever write?" I know there are men and women here who were at some points in their life in my shoes and are now great writers, can you share with me your personal experience of your journey into the writing world, and if possible offer some advise to prospective writers like me. Thank you and God bless you |
I disagree with you sir! I served as a presiding officer here in Kano state with 749 registered voters. APC won. The gap is much. You claim no single polling unit favored him |
How I wish corps member can come together as one and revolt against the gross failure and incompetence of the inec in this 2019 elections. How I wish we can make our voices heard in the deafened ears of our hard hearted political leaders. We have risked our lives for this National assignment! Travelled with our hard earned money to our various polling units (without a dime from INEC). Slept in the cold! My colleagues in other areas across the federation slept on bare floor, bricks, cartons, desk, etc. (Abandoning our beds at home for the love and commitment we have for our country) *Mosquitoes got drunk and intoxicated with our blood on the eve of the 2019 elections.* We pledged to serve Nigeria with all our hearts but our service to Nigeria seems insignificant! I think it's high time the NYSC disengaged it's affinity with the INEC. if the INEC does not have value and regards for the lives of the learned Nigerian Youths of the NYSC, then the NYSC should not have any business to do with them! The NYSC should not keep quiet to the failure of the INEC on the eve of the 2019 election. *We (Corps member) demand a compensation for all corps member who were recruited as INEC ad-hoc staffs for the 2019 elections .* Serving Nigeria is not by force....Since we have chosen to serve, we deserved to be adequately serviced! *Do not muzzle an ox to keep it from eating while it treads out the grain* *CORP MEMBERS DEMANDS A COMPENSATION FROM INEC* *#Voice_Of_That_Agrieved_Corper#* *#Uwem_Owo#* |

BEROM ARE NOT TERRORISTS By Andrew Dave Babre THE BEROM I KNOW Growing up in the cool city of Jos, you won't escape hearing the greetings and courtesies in Berom language. We use that language as kids when greeting the kindhearted ngo in our area of town. You see, Berom share Jos city with the Afizere and Anaguta ethnic groups long before colonialists and the tin mines brought a large number of people from the northern parts of the country to settle. Northerners are however not the only ones to have migrated and settle in Jos, southerners did so too. There is a heavy Yoruba and Igbo presence in Jos. In fact some streets in Jos bear the names of Southerners. The Berom I know will accommodate anyone and everyone, they are so peaceful and calm that people even thought they are somehow foolish. We have never heard of any violence on the part of the Berom except tales of wars in the pre-colonial times. The peaceful nature of the city was such that people simply live where they want to. There were no Christian or Muslim communities, settlers or indigenous people's communities, there was only Jos city. But all these changed when monsters arrive and set the people against each other. Still, the Berom maintain their peaceful nature and I say this because it takes only a people in love with peace to not create a Niger Delta style militancy as their people are killed every day and their crops and farms destroyed while they equally lose villages. To say that Berom are terrorists today is a joke taken to far. If Berom became violent, it is simply because of the human instinct to survive because the government is clearly not interested in ending the killings in Berom land and the people must survive. I don't support violence of any kind but when you are constantly under attack in the way the Berom people and other tribes of Plateau people are with no adequate security from government, you will create a people who will fight back to survive. It is a natural human instinct. As a person familiar with the Berom people after years of living among them and being blessed by their hospitality, I say with boldness that BEROM ARE NOT TERRORISTS. Government should simply find ALL KILLERS on the Plateau and put an end to the bloodshed. |
