@FHemmmy, Yeah, hopefully it's a sweet price without conditions!

@Banji, I'm aware for such models, '09 and '10, agents usually have a way of bringing down the clearing cost but with a condition (Option B). I need the documentation intact, exactly as per the vehicle if you know what I mean. Is that the quote you have provided, option A?

Thanks for your time.

Little wonder, two months after a vehicle of #1.8M was purchased, you're already looking for a mechanic who would go to Ladipo spare part market to get a junked motor part for your 'new' vehicle.

If you took a loan to get the car or spent your last kobo on it, you don enter WAHALA. Some guys would do anything for money. PITY!
Properties / Re: 180 Plots Of Land For Sale At Sangotedo For Sale At 1.5 Million Per Plot. by sparkle10(m): 9:18pm On Jul 14, 2010
Buyers beware indeed.

Three years ago, a number of us were approached to subscribe to an "estate" purported to be coming up down this same road in the pictures. We jumped at the offer and visited the so called 'site' many times. We saw all manner of documents and encouraged friends and families to join. A year after, we were told Government did not give approval for the estate to be located there. All hopes were dashed. After so much ado, we were offered alternative plots less than 100m from Ibeju Lekki LG office (about 1hr drive at 80km/h or 50miles/hr) from the original location.

People, three years after, land we never see. Money nko? for where.

Buyers, indeed, beware especially 2 miles radius around this stretch of road for #1.5M.
Car Talk / Re: KNOW YOUR VEHICLE-STOLEN OR SALVAGED? CAVEAT EMPTOR by sparkle10(m): 8:54pm On Jul 14, 2010
Quite a number of us don't fully appreciate Vehicle History Reports (Autocheck or CARFAX) and so still fall victims of dubious car sellers who buy these junks, shape up their bodies and sell to unsuspecting buyers at cut-throat prices. See below for critical official definitions.

Definition of a junked vehicle.

A junked vehicle is one which has been dismantled because it was wrecked, abandoned, or a low valued vehicle that was impounded and acquired from an enforcement agency and is no longer operable.

Definition of a salvage vehicle.

A salvage vehicle is a vehicle that has been wrecked, destroyed, or damaged to such extent that the insurance company considers it uneconomical to make repairs to the vehicle and the vehicle is not repaired by or for the person who owned the vehicle when the damage occurred.

Buyers, beware!!!

Romance / Re: Birthday Gifts And Relationships by sparkle10(m): 4:38pm On Jun 26, 2010
Ok, My birthday is around the corner.  Smiley

Told my husband in advance what I wanted for my special Day : An Amazon Kindle as I am an avid reader.  I was discussing with a friend last night and she was like" you told him what you wanted?, couldn't he have surprised you with a nice gift?". I said I would rather have what I really wanted instead of the surprise element of a gift I might not really have a good use for.

She was like she would never tell her significant other what  she wants for her birthday because he is supposed to know, and if he doesn't know, then maybe they are not meant to be together and she will break up with him as it meant that he has not taken the time out to know her and be thoughtful of her.

That really confused me, so House, I table it before you, What do you guys really think?

Would you prefer to tell and get what you want or risk not telling and get whatever he gives you but you get have the surprise factor? Also would you break up with him or her

Your birthday is a special occasion you and your hubby look forward to. It happens just once a year and will be nice if the joy of it is mutual. If you tell him what you want, the element of surprise is lost. Though you may be most fulfilled since you got what you most desire, it may not be same for your hubby especially if he's got something else in mind and had waited for the day to unleash.

Give him the chance to make a choice and keep an open mind. I'm sure he's gonna check out your desire a while before going for purchase. Make sure you talk a lot about that special desire. I can assure you he's gonna go for it as if his life depends on it. Even if he got something else, still receive it with open arms. You have 364 other days in the year to get whatever else you want. "With Wisdom is a house built"

As for your friend, she lives in a virtual world. She should WAKE UP!
Sports / Re: Sacking Amodu Was A Mistake - Odemwingie by sparkle10(m): 6:11pm On Jun 23, 2010
[This same guy complained that AMODU tactics was rubbish in the cup of nations, a criticism that lend credence to AMODU's sack. How come he is now complaining that sacking AMODU was a mistake. He is a greedy player who likes to immitate the likes of CRISTIANO RONALDO, and playing with his head looking down always. He is overated in the eagles. To me, the EAGLES are not good players. Just fringe players blocking the chance of other better players. If the under 21 youth team played this tournament in placed of the so called super eagles, they wld ve given a better representation. Look at YAKUBU AYEGBENI, he was just running about doing nothing but to break Nigerians heart yesterday.Haruna lukman shd be the only person taken from this crop of unintelligent players and the rest disbanded immediately]

You guys should grow up and understand Osaze's view point. He complained about Amodu because he believed Nigeria was good enough to get a better coach. Largerbeer was definitely not the kind of coach he imagined but a coach who has what it takes to use the opportunity of the WC to lay a foundation for the future.

With benefit of hindsight  I agree we should have stayed put with Amodu. Compare statistics for the period Amodu was in charge with the dismal failure by this Oyibo despite so much money invested. With Amodu, we would have lost nothing.

Largerbeer would have been vindicated if he had been courageous enough to expose our younger players to the world cup. If nothing else, we would have taken solace in the fact that he went with young inexperienced but trainable boys and laid good foundation for the future. But now, he's an investment down the drain. Ghana did it and we can see the result!

Family / Re: Woman Delivers First Baby At 59 by sparkle10(m): 11:16pm On Jun 21, 2010
Another version of the same story. but the names confused me sha:  Pastor and Pastor (Mrs) Muritala Inaolaji  vs Mrs Iyabo Balogun. The story goes:
,
60-yr-old pastor delivers first baby after 35 yrs of barreness

Written by Olu Osunde
Sunday, June 6, 2010

AN incident akin to the story of Abraham and Sarah in the Bible replayed itself at Alakia of Ibadan, Oyo State barely last week  when an aged couple were delivered of their first issue.

The mother of the baby (right) with Evang Christiana Oluwashola, founder GVM.

The couple, Pastor and Pastor (Mrs) Muritala Inaolaji are 70 and 60 years old respectively, each about 30 years younger than Abraham and Sarah who gave birth to their promised child, Isaac, at 100 and 90 years respectively.

Papa and Mama Inaolaji of Ibadan, got married 35 years ago as muslims and looked forward to raising lovely children.

The children, however, refused to come as Mama Inaolaji did not become pregnant. Thus, began the search for a child they could call their own.

Several visits were made to hospitals, alfas, imams, marabouts and herbalists, all to no avail. In the search for a child, the couple encountered Jesus Christ and became Christians.

That singular act however, further pitched them against family members, who had not succeeded in convincing Papa Inaolaji to marry another wife.

Of course, Mama Inaolaji was labelled and tagged with derisive names. These shot to a crescendo when the couple became Christians/and later, they both became pastors.

Undaunted, the couple kept on praying and believing God. Mama wanted to undergo an operation when it was discovered that she had multiple fibroid in her womb. Papa Muritala paid for the operation but Mama was afraid, considering her age (about two years ago) and the fact that the fibroids  were many.

The doctor did not also help matter as the way he described how Mama's body would be mutilated, frightened her so much, coupled with the fact that she would not be sedated but her womb area (stomach) would only be deadened for fear that she might not come round after the operation.

So, Papa and Mama agreed to forgo the operation fee and forget about the operation. But they kept on praying, trusting God for the best.

It was on a sunny afternoon when Mama Inaolaji heard an advertisement about God's Voice Ministries International (GVM) on the radio. By then Papa Inaolaji was fed up, having gone round so many places without result.

But Mama appealed to him and persuaded him to let them try GVM. They, however agreed that GVM would be their last port of call.

Hear Mama Inaolaji: "I was 59 years old when I came to GVM with eight multiple fibroids, two ovarian cysts and tube blockage in 2009.

"I had never been pregnant for once in my life but I was told that I had to remove the whole of my womb and I ran away from (orthodox doctors).

"I went to GVM and I used GVM's frothy cream and anti-barreness cream. I conceived and gave birth to a baby boy at age 60 while my husband is 70 .

"I delivered the fibroid life without operation and later I conceived and was delivered of a baby boy who weighs 6.2 kg. I delivered the baby through surgery because of his weight", the new mother, who is savouring the joy of motherhood for the first time in her life, said.

On her experience when she was pregnant, Mama Inaolaji said people talked in whispers and hushed tones whenever they saw her while family members, especially her in-laws, claimed that her stomach was merely swelling, due to the various spiritual water they claimed she drank at her place of worship.

Mama Inaolaji, who spoke in Yoruba exclaimed, "Haa, nigba ti ojo esin mi su dede, Olorun ba mi se," meaning when the rain of mockery was about to fall on me, God covered me with the garment of a baby.

Explaining further on their plight, Pastor Muritala Inaolaji  said, I am from Ejigbo. I gave my life to Jesus and He gave me a child at the age of 70 years.

Speaking with Sunday Tribune, the founder of GVM International, Dr. (Evang.) Christianah Abosede Oluwashola said she used to operate fibroid until Jesus told her in a dream to use herbs to cure same.

@chrisbenogo,

Perhaps, this story may lend credence to your fear of the authenticity of the miracle baby story. These days, one is never really sure of what to believe. It happened in Nigeria and an equally advanced woman was involved.
