Foreign Affairs › Re: ISIS Circulates Sex Slave Price List & Executes 19 Girls For Refusing Sex (PICS) by sparkleboy(m): 6:02pm On Aug 06, 2015 |
Smh for your ignoramus self. Islam was created by the devil because it contravenes the doctrines of Christ which says love your enemies, pray for those who dispitefully use you, forgive those who offend you, love your neighbour as yourself. And your Koran confirmed Jesus been sent from God though they misunderstood the concept! But still Koran affirms his divine personality.
Banjoramos: . Actually, as it has been clarified again and again that while Jihad serves as a means of defense for Muslims against aggression, and acts as a deterrent factor against any anti-Islam scheme launched by enemies, it must never be construed as something synonymous with aggression.
Jihad is never a tool of waging war against the innocents; it's never a means of flexing muscles or bullying the weak and oppressed. Jihad in Islam is something unique, established to defend the divine message from being eliminated or hindered by its enemies.
Shedding more light on the true concept of Jihad, Allah says, (And strive in His cause as ye ought to strive (with sincerity and under discipline). He has chosen you, and has imposed no difficulties on you in religion; it is the religion of your father Abraham. It is He (Allah) Who has named you Muslims, both before and in this (Revelation); that the Messenger may be a witness for you, and you be witnesses for mankind! So establish regular Prayer, give regular Charity, and hold fast to Allah! He is your Protector, the best to protect and the Best to help!) (Al-Hajj 22: 78)
Jihad is one of the most misunderstood, and abused aspects of Islam. There are some Muslims who exploit and misuse this concept for their own political objectives. There are many non-Muslims who misunderstand it. There are some non-Muslims who misinterpret it to discredit Islam and Muslims.
What is Jihad?
The word Jihad does not mean “Holy War”. It means “struggle” or “striving”. The word for war in the Qur’an is “Harb” or “Qital”. Jihad means serious and sincere struggle on the personal as well as on the social level. It is a struggle to do good and to remove injustice, oppression and evil from the society. This struggle should be spiritual as well as social, economic and political. Jihad is to work hard to do right things. In the Qur’an this word is used in its different forms 33 times. It often comes with other Qur’anic concepts such as faith, repentance, righteous deeds and migration.
Jihad is to protect one’s faith and one’s human rights. Jihad is not a war always although it can take the form of war. Islam is the religion of peace, but it does not mean that Islam accepts oppression. Islam teaches that one should do one’s utmost to eliminate tension and conflict. Islam promotes non-violent means to bring change and reform. Actually, Islam urges that one should eliminate evil through peaceful means without the use of force as much as possible. In Islamic history from the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) until now, Muslims most of the time resisted oppression and struggled for liberation in non-violent and peaceful manners.
Islam teaches proper ethics in the situation of war also. The war is permissible in Islam, but only when other peaceful means such as dialogue, negotiations and treaties fail. It is a last resort and should be avoided as much as possible. Its purpose is not to convert people by force, or to colonize people or to acquire land or wealth or for self-glory. Its purpose is basically: defense of life, property, land, honor and freedom for oneself as well as defense of others from injustice and oppression.
The basic rules of war in Islam are:
1. Be strong so that your enemy fear you and should not attack you.
2. Do not begin the hostilities. Work for peace as much as possible.
3. Fight only those who fight, no collective punishment; non-combatants should not be harmed. Weapons of mass destruction should not be used.
4. Stop hostilities as soon as the other party is inclined to peace.
5. Observe the treaties and agreements as long as the enemy observes them.
Allah says very clearly: (Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not do aggression, for Allah loves not the aggressors.) (Al-Baqarah 2: 190)
(The prohibited month, for the prohibited month, and so for all things prohibited, there is the law of equality. If then any one transgresses the prohibition against you, transgress ye likewise against him. But fear Allah, and know that Allah is with those who restrain themselves.) (Al-Baqarah 2: 194)
Jihad is not terrorism:
It is to be emphasized that terrorism against the innocent civilians, whether through aggression or suicidal means, is under no circumstances permissible in Islam. Islam encourages the oppressed people to struggle for their liberation and it commands other Muslims to help those who are oppressed and suffering, but Islam does not allow, under any circumstance, terrorism against non-combatants and innocent people. Terrorism is not Jihad, it is Fasad (mischief). It is against the teachings of Islam. There are some people who use their twisted arguments to justify terrorism for their causes, but it has no justification: Allah says: (When it is said to them: 'Make not mischief on the earth,' they say: 'Why, we only want to correct things.' Indeed they are the mischief doers, but they realize (it) not.) (Al-Baqarah 2: 11-12)
Islam wants to establish a world order where all human beings - Muslims and non-Muslims - can live with justice in peace, harmony and good will. It gives its followers full guidelines to find peace in their personal and social lives, but it also tells them how to extend the good will on the basis of human relations towards others. Muslims worked under these principles for centuries. People of many faiths lived with them and among them. Islamic societies were known for their tolerance, generosity and humanity.
In our modern society where we are living in a global village, where non-Muslims are living with Muslims in the Muslim countries and Muslims are living with non-Muslims in countries where non-Muslims constitute a majority, it is our duty to bring better understanding among ourselves, work for peace and justice for all people and cooperate with each other in matters of goodness and virtue in order to stop all terrorism, aggression and violence against the innocent people. This is our Jihad today.
Allah Almighty knows best. |

That number 3 is so true I had a serious experience with them at the traffic light on your way to Iyana-iPaja at a junction called Ile-Zik, The last a woman said I ran a red light at the first junction, Na so I begin to argue , me wey no set light at all, Na call I dey make. That's how they entered the car and said straight to PWd on Ikeja-along, that's when I started to beg, those women can be so harsh or nice depending on your approach.
I learnt my lesson though.
AllNaijaBlogger: Driving in Lagos, Nigeria is one of the most frustrating and dangerous things one can experience in his or her lifetime. However, here are 10 commandments to keep you safe on the roads of Lagos- 1) Thou shalt not drag road with taxi drivers and danfo drivers -for they will brush your car and not care because they don’t own theirs 2) Thou shalt not argue with LASTMA and Policemen -for thy fine will be greater 3) Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s lane during rush hours -for you shall not pass 4) Thou shalt not drive alongside trucks with containers -for you shall be on 9 O’clock news if the container falls on your car 5) Thou shalt give way for police and military convoys -or else, you shall be disciplined with the rod 6) Thou shalt remember to dodge potholes -for it is merciful on your suspension and tyres 7) Thou shalt not forget to use the horn frequently -for it is the only way to communicate with Lagos drivers 8.) Thou shalt expect abuse when using a learner’s plate -for it is the quickest way to learn not to mess up on Lagos roads 9) Thou shalt not underestimate the power of bribe in driving offenses -for it is the tithe and Holy Grail our uniformed friends deserve 10) Thou shalt not drive from mainland to the Island during rush hours -for thy journey will be long like an Israelite one cc Standd Joseph1832 Source; http://allnaijablog.com/the-10-commandments-of-driving-in-lagos |

Nairaland General › Re: Thoughts You Have That Are Probably Wrong When A Guy Stops To Give You A Lift. by sparkleboy(m): 5:16pm On Aug 05, 2015 |
True. I was travelling from Ife to Lagos on Monday, I stopped over to fuel just after Ibadan since it was @ 87 Naira per litre While there a young lady just approached me and asked whether I was going to lag, I was the one that was reluctant and scared to pick her, I was afraid of car snatchers. I ended up taking her to Lagos, and found out that we were admitted to oau the same year though she graduated b4 me but I see it as a very improper thing to woo a girl you just met.
Mzflexydeeva: It is often said that there's no such thing as been too safe but the truth is you don't enjoy life when all you do is look for a safety nest. The world as it is today isn't safe but that doesn't mean one can't have some safe gestures done to them. It is common knowledge that lots of ladies condemn taking a free ride from strangers especially the guys. Not like it's common to have a lady stop to give a fellow lady a ride but most times out thoughts towards such kind gestures make it look like it's a bad thing. It's not always true what you think, sometimes you leave certain things to chance & enjoy the moment. Not every guy who stops to give u a ride has all dese in mind... For the ladies, you probably think:
1. He's stopping to woo you Not @ all.... he may just want information /direction. 2. He's looking for a ritual victim Yeah rite..... the world as it is isn't safe but then again give the benefit of doubt. 3 . He thinks you are cheap. Well accepting a free ride doesn't make you cheap what happens after the car door closes is what matters. 4. So long as it's a clean car she'll get in. Well no doubt that works too but i'm sure even those without cleans cars stop too. Look beyond the car.
Life is easy, it's a yes or a no thing. You don't always have to accept the offer but don't think the worse yet. You may want to take the walk , there's nothing wrong with that but somme good people still exists so don't give every gesture a bad thought |

YerYer: I actually took the time to read your story and I don't see where you instantly developed love for your boss. Rather it seems like your female boss has noticed your unprofessional conduct at the work place, first you are caught flirting with a client's daughter, secondly she has noticed the sensual tension/crush between you and your coworker. It may be that she has feelings for you (your hor*ny thoughts) or she's candidly pointing out to you that you are being unprofessional. The later is probably the case. To me it seems like you cannot control your sexual urge; you are attracted to your boss, your coworker and clients. You need help with controling yourself, detest from watching too much porn, focus on the task at hand, if you get the urge to flirt or fantasize about women immediately distract yourself by listening to music or reading a news article.
Don't let Konji be the reason for your termination.

Career › Re: 15 Hard Lessons Everyone Should Learn In Their 20s by sparkleboy(op): 12:11am On Jul 31, 2015 |
sparkleboy: Your 20s are a time of rapid transitions.
As you get used to the responsibilities that come with developing the foundation for a career and sustainable lifestyle, you'll inevitably make mistakes, some of which could have major consequences.
No advice can replace these experiences, but some insight from those who've already been through it can help you become more aware and lessen the sting of growing pains.
1. Your worldview may be seriously flawed.
It's natural to feel as if you have a solid life philosophy figured out by the time you graduate college, but you will most likely redefine how you see relationships, politics, your career, and anything else you can think of. As Rachel Laine puts it, "[Y]ou discover everything that you thought you had all figured out was tragically wrong, laughably confused, or utterly delusional."
2. Life is hard, and it never gets much easier.
As your responsibilities begin to pile up in your 20s, you'll realize that just getting by — let alone becoming very successful — requires a lot of work. And there will always be failures and setbacks.
"You will fail in life, over and over and over. It won't feel fair. Maybe for decades. You've got to keep moving forward. Keep going," Perkins says.
3. You must keep learning if you want to be successful.
Your education is far from over after you leave a classroom for the last time. Dedicate yourself to learning things that will help you in your career, including "the abilities to assimilate, communicate, and persuade," Rich Tatum says.
4. Meaningful relationships are difficult to maintain.
If and when you decide to consider marriage or at least a serious romantic relationship, you're going to realize that it requires plenty of sacrifices and work. You'll realize the same goes for your closest friends, who will also be changing as you grow older. But these relationships are more important to your happiness and fulfillment than anything else in your life, says Tatum.
As you go through your 20s, you'll naturally start to drift away from some of your friends. Gone are the days of partying with a room full of your buddies, Bhatt says. You will realize, though, that the friends you put the effort into staying in touch with are the ones who mean the most to you.
5. People will resent you if you try to always be right.
"Let go of having to be right about things — this isn't a contest," Perkins says. "It's not a game. You don't win at life. So say, 'Thanks for your perspective. I'll think about that,' or, 'I was wrong. I'm sorry.'"
6. You are replaceable at work.
Many companies like to portray themselves as families, but at the end of the day that's just semantics. If your company can no longer afford you or thinks it can invest more wisely in someone else, you'll be cut from that family pretty easily.
"The company does not love you. It has no heart," Tatum says. Many companies like to portray themselves as families, but at the end of the day that's just semantics. If your company can no longer afford you or thinks it can invest more wisely in someone else, you'll be cut from that family pretty easily.
"The company does not love you. It has no heart," Tatum says.
7. You don't have forever to find and pursue your passion.
The money you make from your job will mean nothing if you're not actually enjoying life, Tatum says.
If you pursue a career solely for a big check and set aside the things you love to pursue later, you'll find it becomes significantly harder to change careers or dedicate yourself to a passion project the older you get.
8. You're not entitled to anything
It's necessary to be humble, Tatum says, especially about advantages you may have received through sheer luck. And never think that just because you put in work for things like degrees from elite universities that they guarantee you privileges in life.
Be grateful for what you have, and realize that in a single moment you can lose the things you take for granted.
9. Picking fights and holding grudges will make you miserable.
"Avoid fights. Seriously. Avoid them like a plague: Nobody wins in a fight, even if you walk away unscathed," Tatum writes.
Accept apologies, and apologize when you make a mistake. Don't fill your life with negativity.
10. Decisions that take a few seconds to make can have long-term ramifications.
Never make a decision on an emotional impulse. "[S]tupid decisions made in the moment can rob you of years of joy and happiness," Tatum writes.Never make a decision on an emotional impulse. "[S]tupid decisions made in the moment can rob you of years of joy and happiness," Tatum writes.
11. Money is hard to earn
When your family is supporting you, it can be difficult to grasp how much a Naira is worth, even if you aren't spoiled, Rahul Bhatt says.
As you start living on your own, however, you'll soon realize that frivolous things you would normally not give a second thought about purchasing are not worth the hours of work equivalent to the price tag.
12. Hard work isn't always recognized.
your boss may not always notice your contributions, Bhatt says.
Do not let that be an excuse to become lazy, and don't protest if someone else gets credit for your work.
13. Debt will haunt you, If you spend recklessly.
Because lots of young professional have huge debts doesn't mean that it's cool And at some point in your 20s you're probably going to get a credit card — use it wisely. "Realize that you will end up paying double, maybe more, for that round of drinks at the bar because you put it on credit instead of saving the cash," Thea Pilarczyk says. Prioritize your spending to get rid of debts as quickly as you are able to
14. There is always someone "better" than you.
going to be people who are smarter, better looking, more sociable, and just all around 'better' than you. ... To be happy, then, you have to learn to accept yourself and your shortcomings," Brandon Chu says.
Pursue success on your own terms, not by living someone else's life or forever living in the shadow of someone else.
15. You'll never have it "all sorted out."
"Remember when you thought you'd have it all sorted out by 30?" Chu asks. You'll realize how silly that is as your 30th birthday draws closer. The truth is, you'll become wiser with age, but you'll always question your decisions.
Being an adult is more a matter of heightened expectations than any tangible change, Hugh Powell says. As he bluntly puts it: "[N]o matter how good you get at playing the adult, you won't forget that underneath it all, at any age, you are always a scared little child, with no real idea of what you are doing."
Use this knowledge to recognize that everyone else is in the same position as you, no matter what image others project to the world. This can help you become more insightful, compassionate, and forgiving, Powell says.
