This is one of the reasons religious people are such INSUFFERABLE hypocrites!

They have been CONDITIONED to be good and to do good in EXCHANGE for a reward—heaven.

The concept of doing good just because it's the right thing to do is ALIEN to them.

That's why one of the first questions a religious person would ask an atheist is "if you don't believe in God, why don't you just go around raping and killing people and doing all manner of bad things?"

It's because a LOT of religious people have a soul the colour of midnight.

The darkness in them is BARELY reigned in by the tenets of their religion so it BOGGLES their minds that irreligious people are NOT constantly on raping and killing sprees.

A good deed from a HEATHEN is more VALUABLE than a good deed from a DEVOUT christian/muslim/whatever.

If you ONLY do the right thing because you expect a REWARD, then you are NOT a good person.

If you found a lost item and the owner is easily IDENTIFIABLE, it's NOT a display of exceptional virtue to return it to said owner.

Even WITHOUT any reward.

Knowing the owner of a lost item and STILL keeping it just makes you a THIEF.

Your current PREDICAMENT is not an excuse for keeping another person's property.

Plus, #40k is NOT really a lot of money today. You can go shopping with it and carry EVERYTHING you bought with #40k in just ONE sack bag.

So even if you kept the money because of "your circumstances", chances are high you'd be back in that same position in less than 2 weeks.

But now you'd have to deal with the fact that you are a CROOK and all your dignity and integrity is for sale for the LOW price of #40k.

The fact that you said this doesn't mean you are a bad person , it's just that you don't agree with this ,and it's beautiful to differ ,but most importantly to be willing to learn .

When a believer matures in spiritual language
He would have the ability to discern the will or activities of the holy spirit through feelings but the holy spirit is not a feeling or a sensation or a mere force like some people want you to believe .

The holy spirit is a person ,he has a feeling ,could speak and can be heard audibly
If he wills to make one hear him audibly .
However the holy spirit speak to us most time through signs , inaudible thoughts ,intuitions , imaginations ,a stiring of feelings inside one's spirit or through ( bodily )feelings

Many believers are not aware that the holy spirit can communicate to one by giving one a feeling in the body (,in the flesh )
When you have consecrated and mortified your body the spirit of God is able to then begin communicating with you by passing feelings to your body parts .

fiery feelings or oily feelings , sometimes this doesn't mean he is giving you an anointing in that area but instead he is trying to communicate to you through that anointing or fire .
Now this type of communication is rare and many believers have not mastered the inward communication so they might not be able to discern the outward communications .

The thing with spiritual things is that ,they are not money ,you can have them and still be poor ,and most men don't want to be poor ,so instead of pay attention to the spiritual experience God is giving them and seeing to it that they pay the price to discern what it is and how to make it become something that would profit the body of Christ they just brush it aside and continue their lives like nothing happens .

In the school of the spirit you must make time to learn how to discern the language of the spirit through the scriptures and through the inward witness that the spirit gives you.

A good student of the holy spirit is one dedicate quality time to God ,and is willing to ask for interpretation of that which he knows not .

There are many types of battle that each and every human might go through but what matters is how well equipped one is with the requisite tools to combat such battles .
When God was creating this world he encountered darkness .
So challenges has always been a part of the world's frame .
One of the ways to have peace is to acknowledge challenges as a phenomenon must be encountered.


The Bible says
Ephesians 6:12
[12]For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

These principalities did not consult us beforehand to ask if we are interested in the Battle or not ,they just decided that man must be fought irregardless of wether he is interested or aware of their plans or not .

Wether we are ready or not ; we wrestle .
wether we agree or not; we wrestle .
wether we are aware or not; we wrestle .
wether we strong or weak we are in a wrestling and must fight .

The Bible calls this fight the good fight of Faith .
It's a fight of faith because most of the enemies are invisible spirit entities who work round the clock to bring men down .

Brethren what ever you are going through in life make sure you don't lose your faith ,and make sure you exercise yourself in faith .



Ephesians 6:13,16
[13]Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

[16]above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

This is our victory even our faith .

Faith shields your heart from conceding to defeat, and from getting into a fight that has already been won on you behalf .

He that has the son has overcome the world .

The only fight (that seems like a fight )you have is to declare the victory of the cross over the enemy .
Don't start a new battle , declare the end,and victory of the one Christ fought for you on the cross .

Satan comes with a posture to fight because he knows it would be difficult for man to trust what he does not see ; to trust in just the written word .
He new he has been defeated ; but it is possible for men to still doubt the victory of Christ over Satan because they weren't present to witness it with their eyes .
(Left to believe with their hearts)

so Satan leverages on the doubts of men to re- start the battle he has already lost .


But we have overcome Satan by the blood of Jesus and by acknowledging that victory in the face of trials .

I'm a Christian that is contemplating consecrating my life entirely for the Lord. No marriage, just me and the Lord and koinonia with my brethren in the Lord. This may change later if the Lord has a different plan for my life but for now this is my resolve.

I consider marriage a huge distraction to the pursuit of Christ and the seeking of the Kingdom of God. How do married
believers who are earnestly seeking the glory of the Lord everyday cope? I know the grace of God superabounds but I still think there is a continuous struggle peddling along marriage, an earthly thing with a heavenly calling.

Back to topic, it's so hard to see believers who are wholeheartedly seeking the Lord only and consider marriage as a secondary or distracting venture to their faith. Most believers think it's normal for Christians to primarily desire marriage just like the World does. Even some pastors go as far as embarrassing church members of a certain age group who are yet unmarried. And I wonder, why?

Are we not complete already in Christ? Is Christ not our our fullness and life already? The world is earthy and believes a man is not complete without another, but is it what the Bible teaches us as Christians? Are we incomplete waiting to be completed by another? If no, then why do we stigmatize the unmarried among us? Are we not carnal and worldly when we do that?

Don't we have the liberty in Christ to marry and not to marry. If some of us have chosen to use the liberty to dedicate our lives to God, the same way you have chosen yours, why do you give us the side eye?

Why do you want to bring us under bondage again? Are we not free in Christ to consecrate our lives to God?

It's well.

I can't wait to meet believers who have given up every pleasure including marriage just for the sake of Christ. I can't wait to meet even believers that desire marriage but not in an obsessive way like the world but rather have Christ as their primary pursuit.

I'm not against marriage. It's a beautiful institution created by God himself but it's only useful here on earth. It's an earthly thing. And we are heavenly citizens now and should desire the things which are above. Marry if you want to but be circumspect with it, don't you think? You should marry if you can't hold your virginity but remember you still need to be single-minded in marriage if you are to increase in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord. Let's use every worldly office wisely then.

You are not alone .
There are many people who have the same thougt as yourself , but societal pressure made them bend .
I also think marriage should come as God pleases ,but some people are hell bent on imposing their philosophy on you which is some how normal ,but we have the liberty of choice .

You will be tempted to give up this thoughts and only if you are able to see great things of faith would you be able to continue in this path.

This thread will be very useful and helpful to many people in the coming days because some of the information I noted down here( I doubt )if they could be found else where .
Especially online .
Theses are rare teaching that many people are seeking to find .

The topic isn't about only believers but actually discerning the voice of God .

But only believers can discern the voice of God's spirit because they are born again .

Sometimes challenges of life seems to be stronger than the power of God because of how much pain people go through with no single sign that help would ever come .

But our God is faithful ,and blessed are those who believe for they shall see the salvation of God .

Some of the challenges of a Christian in his or her walk with God :

1. How to be mindful of the voice of the spirit
2. Discerning the voice of the holy spirit from his own .

3. Accepting that it is the voice of the spirit when it does not favors him .

4. Obeying the voice of the spirit .
